Genesis: The Lucky Blacksmith
First Round

The view of the island from above looks so beautiful. The island is filled with forests with heterogeneous trees of various forms. Right in the middle of the island, there is a field surrounded by dense forest. At both ends of the opposite island, stood the magnificent building where the headquarters of the two guilds were about to fight. One is red, while the other has a blue pattern.

Riko and the other spectators watched the spectacular scene through the floating stands. Flying things there is not only one. At least dozens of other tribunes also floated slowly in the air like flying balloons floating in the direction of the wind.

Shortly after, a long shrill trumpet sound rang out, blaring across the island. The voice was a sign of the start of the long-awaited event: the first round of guild battles. The first battle was fought by two upper-level guilds, Ares, against Minerva. The swordsmen led by Gamaliel himself burst out from the red-based team. They roared excitedly through the forest towards the vast field in the middle of the island.

Meanwhile, the blue team party was the alchemists from the Minerva guild. They used explosives and dangerous chemical potions to fight the swordmen of Ares. The fight immediately opened with a loud blast of poisonous grenades thrown by Minerva's side. Luckily the audience stands area is equipped with transparent protectors that can dispel any impact of attacks including poison in the air.

Riko observed the fierce fight under her feet in astonishment. It was like actually playing a game using a virtual reality device. The people down there were so small and far from where Riko was. However, he also realized that this reality was not just virtual reality. The battle had actually happened and the players down there were actually seriously injured, perhaps even dead.

The young man was horrified. This is like a war in the real world. Although the players were equipped with body reinforcement to such an extent, as well as powerful weapons, but the wound was still a wound. Human life is also one. Once they die, there is no respawn feature in the real world.

“Ares. The people from Minerva were using long-range weapons,” Mona's comments seemed to seriously observe the course of the battle.

“But the sword fighter is not easy to die. Their defence is so good. Alot's dead. Look, it has been bombed many times still alive again,” Zain responded.

“But it doesn't look like cover asep same dust. Don't know who's still alive who's dead.” Gladys squeaked with a trembling voice. The young girl was terrified.

“This is too brutal,” comments Rizal no less shaking. The priest even turned his gaze in the other direction for the sake of not witnessing the battle below.

Fortunately, Riko's eyes immediately found the two figures. Gama seemed to be grasping a large gleaming golden sword that looked extremely powerful. The sword is already covered in blood – who knows whose blood, Riko does not want to think about it –, but still can emit tremendous energy. One flutter formed a kind of two-meter-high tornado that instantly split the formation of the alchemists at the other end of the field. Other flicks of Gama's sword can also bring up wind blades that snatch up to a radius of tens of meters. Truly the level of a strongest guild master was indeed not kidding.

The first fifteen minutes, Minerva did seem like the upper hand. Their poison bomb attack had indeed managed to cripple the swordmen of the Ares guild. But it's only temporary. The counterattack is soon started by Gama and his men. They were like zombies rising from behind a huge explosion directed at their bodies. With the full armor already half-scorched, Ares guild members attacked his enemy mercilessly.

That guild war would only end if one party managed to take control of the other party's headquarters. This is done by sneaking into the headquarters of the opposing team and then insert a special chip so that the color of the enemy headquarters can turn into their own. Even so, there is a time limit to do so. What if within two hours not a single base was captured, then the guild fight would still be ended, and the winner would be determined through the number of enemies that were defeated.

On the shirt of each player who followed the guild war, a special tool was installed to detect whether they were still worth fighting or not. Players who have been seriously injured or even died – hopefully not to that extent – will be directly teleported to the safe area near the entrance of the island. The priests were there to heal them. The players who had walked out of the arena were considered to have lost.

Such was the rule that Riko had read through a special hologram that lit up in front of her seat in the stands just before the fight had taken place earlier. Although there seems to be preventive action, but still the danger is real. Even if they do not die, the condition of disability can also occur. Even so somehow Riko actually felt excited. There's a part of him that wants to jump into the fight down there. At least with his legendary set, Riko's chances of winning could still increase. That's if the opponent is not Ares or Corsage.

The battle of Ares versus Minerva was brief. In the thirty-seventh minute, the previously blue-ornamed guild headquarters of Minerva, suddenly turned red. It indicates that Ares has managed to sneak and seize the fortress of Minerva.

Once again a long and shrill trumpet sound rang out throughout the entire corner of the island. The players who were still in the middle of the field one by one were teleported towards their respective headquarters. Shortly after, the ground under the battle ground shook and split into two, giving rise to a giant podium with a well-built adult man standing right in the middle.

“First round battle, Team A: Guild Ares versus Guil Minerva. Winner: Ares!” exclaimed the sturdy man with a magic loudspeaker that could be heard all over the island.

The thunderous call was again heard from several audience podiums, followed by from the direction of the Ares Guild headquarters at one end of the forest. Riko let out a sigh of relief. As can be guessed. Gama's power is no joke.
