Nicholas sucks, the last puff of his cigarette. That night the hospital somehow looked crowded. He should have left with his car from there. The parking lot can be used by others.

But her legs feel heavy, she hopes God gave her the destiny to accidentally meet again with Monica. But apparently God does not always grant his hope. So with the step that Nicholas dragged towards the car.

"Nicholas?"

Nicholas froze, when he heard someone calling his name. His head looked a little too fast. Monica was there, her hands were holding a young man named Colin who was sitting next to Nicholas outside the emergency room.

"Monica." Nicholas greeted him politely as well while slightly bowing his head.

"Why? Are you sick?" ask Monica again.

"No. I wasn't. But my friend," answered Nicholas honestly.

Colin watched the mother and the man who had given him the drink and the bread.

"Your friend?" monica's asking sounds serious.

"Yes, a stupid teacher who let himself get battered" said Nicholas.

"He's a friend of Mr. Rio that I told Mom about" Colin said.

"Sir Rio?" Monica laughed softly.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't laugh. But ... Because you're a friend of doctors Yericho and Mr. Rio ... You know what I mean." Monica smiled shyly.

"I told you, we are connected to each other" replied Nicholas.

Nicholas notices a red hue slowly spreading across Monica's face. Monica's round face looks beautiful under the light of the lamp.

"You guys want to go home, right? I'll take it with me" Nicholas said, sounding like an offer he didn't want to refuse.

"No ... No ... We can take a taxi." Monica answered too quickly.

"Why?" nicholas and Colin asked at the same time. The two of them looked at each other before Colin looked at his mother again.

"We can go with this uncle Mother" said Colin weakly.

"Your son looks tired Monica. Too far to where the taxi is. I'll also be home. So I can drive you guys." Nicholas did not make an empty offer. He really wanted to drive them.

Monica glanced at Colin for a moment before nodding, "Thank you," muttered Monica.

Nicholas smiled and opened the back door for Colin who immediately got into the car. Nicholas watched Monica turn around to open the passenger door at the front.

Nicholas smiled faintly and nodded, conveying the gesture that Monica was allowed to enter before she also sat behind the wheel.

Monica tells Nicholas her home address. An apartment complex not far from the hospital. Nicholas drove quietly following the gps path of his car.

"How is Mr Rio?" ask Colin slowly.

"You can still worry about other people, while you also look not okay," Nicholas replied with a smile.

"Rio is fine, not once is he just as unlucky as he is today" Nicholas continued.

"Yes ... Mr. Rio has always been like this" Colin murmured softly.

"If you feel guilty for your teacher, stop going along with things like this" Monica finally scolded.

Colin did not answer his mother. He stared at the window.

"He doesn't know if it's something bad, Monica." Nicholas finally made his voice.

"He just couldn't prevent all this from happening. If Rio doesn't, let alone your son. Imagine if he didn't have the ability to protect himself" Nicholas continued.

Nicholas didn't mean to interfere. But he knew, as a worried parent, of course what Monica said was a natural thing. But too blaming too, Nicholas felt less precise.

"You're on his side?" monica asked once if she tried to sound angry, making Nicholas laugh softly.

"Yes ... For us men, we need to channel this much of our energy" Nicholas said after stopping his laughter.

Nicholas finally parked his car in the apartment parking area. Colin came out first after saying goodbye and saying thank you. Then walk into the building.

"Look at the boy," muttered Monica softly.

"Why with the kid?"

"He's probably on my side right now" Nicholas said.

"What does that mean?" Monica held back her smile. But he did not succeed, the two corners of his lips lifted upwards.

"I mean ...." Nicholas hung his words he leaned his head on the steering wheel and looked at Monica.

"I waited a long time there, hoping fate would bring us together by accident again" Nicholas murmured softly.

"I don't have any answers yet" Monica replied honestly.

"No problem, Monica ... I don't mind waiting any longer" Nicholas said. A faint smile still adorned his handsome face.

Monica was very worried about how she felt. It is too difficult for a man to accept it who already has a teenage child. And even though Nicholas doesn't seem to care. But Monica can't turn a blind eye to what happened in the past.

"I'm just confused as to why you ... On me ...." Monica gulped her saliva as Nicholas' face was seen approaching on her face.

"That's called desire, Monica ..." whispered Nicholas quietly.

"A passionate and difficult desire to ignore" Nicholas said.

"Great?" Monica did not feel understood. So he raised his eyebrows.

Nicholas gulped his saliva and it was clearly visible in Monica's eyes. What's inside a man's head these days Monica can read. Monica just felt she needed to pretend not to know. At least for today.

Monica intended to pull her head back from Nicholas's face. But before he could move. Nicholas' lips were already on his lips.

The kiss happened very short because Nicholas had his head back again. Makes Monica sure Nicholas is also surprised by her actions.

"I'll go down then. Thank you for the ride" said Monica.

Nicholas nodded slightly before Monica got out of her car. He wanted to slap himself. How could he possibly think Monica would return the kiss earlier.

Nicholas stared at Monica's back until she disappeared into the building. Nicholas swallowed his saliva again. His thumb pressed his lower lip. Damn her lips feel soft.

Rio opened his eyes slowly, he felt very thirsty. His body still could not move freely. Rio glanced at the infusion hose attached. His head is throbbing pain.

"Lad?" Rio heard Joana's voice.

"Beb you're awake?" ask the voice again.

Rio was trying to focus his eyesight on the person who spoke earlier. I finally saw Joana's face clearly.

"Yang ..." muttered Rio softly.

"I'm here ..." replied Joana while peeping her hand repeatedly.

"You're okay, right?" rio asked worriedly.

"What and who should be worried here?" Joana sounds angry.

"Yes ... You just realized and you were unconscious for a long time" said Joana.

Rio smiled weakly looking at the trace of tears on Joana's cheeks. This woman was crying for him again.

"I'm thirsty ..." whispered Rio raucously.

Joana moves in and brings Rio a drink. Help her drink.

"Don't move much first" said Joana.

"OK yang, you're the one who moves then," joked Rio.

Joana glared at the perverted joke. He wanted to hit Rio just once. Thank goodness he could hold it well.

"Later if you're healed," Joana replied.

Rio laughed in the interlude of the ringisan. Some parts of his body were very painful. Rio closed his eyes again. He wants to rest for a while. Before meeting reality again.
