He Who Came Among Us

He Who Came Among Us
Small storm blow

Soka drove me only to the lobby, I felt an awkwardness because she was in a hurry to leave me.

It's strange! Though his eyes were not separated from me, who wants to meet him?.

"Madam, go in first, there's business I have to finish," he said as soon as he received a message while on the way.

I ignored him because I felt free for a moment, no eyes watching my movements anymore. My feet stepped lightly towards the special elevator.

"Mrs Zephyr," called the receptionist to stop my steps. "There was a bouquet of flowers and a guest waiting there." the young lady pointed towards the sitting room where the ordinary guests were waiting.

I thank you for receiving a bunch of colorful flowers tucked in an invitation there, inscribed on Mrs Zephyr.

Madam Zephyr, I chuckled as I repeated that word in my heart. While holding the flowers, I approached the guest sitting back to my grandfather.

Guests me? Who her?. I asked in my heart.

Ever since I lived in the brawl, I rarely had guests or rather never. My heart is a little anxious about this uninvited guest.

"Garreth," I said. I was shocked and excited to find myself here. He stood up and hugged me as he always did. "How are you?" I asked.

He let go of his embrace and looked at me before answering, "Well," she replied. "Miss also looks healthy" he said.

A smile adorned my face, pleased with his arrival. "You're looking at me on purpose?."

"That's it" he answered.

I don't dare to bring her up, it'll be problematic if Topaz finds out. "we're talking here yeah," I asked.

He nodded in agreement to my words, "no problem."

I went back to my question, "then your job?."

"Have resigned." I was shocked to hear his answer, which was only answered with a faint smile. "Now I'm helping out on the farm."

An expression of wonder I can't cover hearing the info from him. "Well! you're serious about what you say?" don't believe what he says.

He nodded, "uhm, there's just no time to tell the lady."

"Oh. Why?," I asked, "you've got a good job and can achieve your dreams."

"I just want to help you, lady. After all my father is old, it's time to retire. That's it," she was embarrassed.

"I'm amazed by your thoughts" I said proudly, "what brings you to see me?" I knew I couldn't hide.

Garreth handed me a letter, "i told you to hand this over."

I received the letter and I read it from my late father's lawyer, who required me to be present for a reading of the will a few days ago.

"I didn't receive this letter" I said plainly.

"Maybe someone threw it away" he said.

I glanced at him feeling his dislike, "Maxdunya?."

Garreth immediately changed his attitude, "Not to think I'm just talking nonsense," he explained, "Miss, can come to Rosewood Monday."

"I must ask my husband's permission" I hesitated. Garreth caught the anxiety of my answer.

"He forbid you?" he asked a little harshly. I looked into his eyes, which were now seriously demanding answers from me.

"Not just me.. "

Garreth interrupted my words, mimicking his face emitting an angry aura partly alarmed. "Did he hurt you again?" he accused.

"It's not like that" I tried to calm him down.

"Miss answer honestly. He didn't treat you well, did you suffer by his side? right!," guess. His voice was firm, his eyes were watching my face waiting for my reaction

"You're overreacting Garth. Not like that" my answer didn't convince him. I was clumsy at being looked at by him. I've never seen her expression like this before. Masculine, fiercely mixed attention.

"So" he demanded, dissatisfied with my explanation.

"I can't explain my home." My heart tries haughtily to defeat his intimidation towards me.

A breath sounded from him. "I know miss. But if he hurts you, I don't accept it" he said.

I gave him the understanding as much as possible so as not to misunderstand. "Hubby is not like that. I told you not.. "

Garreth cut my words again. "I'm just worried."

"I understand how you feel as a sister. Hubby treated me well, what happened yesterday was a misunderstanding. And now our communication is going well" I explained to him.

"Not brother," he murmured. The change in his expression became sad to confuse me.

"What are you talking about, Garth?" I asked.

"It's nothing." a smile returned on his face that had been moody for a moment.

Put the talk aside, "I'll try to come Monday" I said.

"Uhm okay," he replied, "i'll tell my father to call the lawyer" he explained.

"There's something else?." asked me who caught the look of uneasiness on his face.

He looked at me, weighing my reaction before saying it. 2 minutes it took him before starting over.

"Then the second one is a matter of the check that miss gave."

"Oh what's up with that?" I asked in panic. Smile again expands on his face.

"Nothing happened with the check, it's still safe" he said in a mischievous tone.

"I mean," hesitating for a moment to continue, he looked at me for a moment and then resumed his interrupted speech. "Would you be interested in producing your own wine that you grow, for example as a product other than wine."

I listened to his idea. I can't hide my eyes from the project he said. Seeing my enthusiasm, he continued.

"I know the success is not necessarily 100% but at least we can produce more and I will look for investors if the project is successful. What do you think, miss?."

I still listened to his idea and started imagining it. "I'll replace it if the project loses money" he assured.

"You don't have to be like that, just consider me an investor with that money."

"Your lady is too kind. Business isn't like that."

"I don't understand that Garth. When have I been to work or have my own business" I regret not learning from my late father.

"You have to learn it, starting from reading for example," he suggested.

"Reading and practice is different Garth."

"Rubber, but as if the lady has an idea let me practice it. How?," bargained.

"Good idea," I agree.

"Think about it, before miss's money is gone because of me" she said.

I laughed when I heard him speak so. "Have not seen you laugh like this for a long time, laugh often, miss looks beautiful" he said.

I blushed in shame, "Garth dreadlocks. Save your compliments for your lady later." Garth just smiled sadly at my words.

"Beautiful flower" he pointed.

"I don't know if I haven't opened it yet."

I opened the gold-inked invitation.

...Provided: Ms. Zephyrs,...

...Come to the party at the Peridot club at 11pm tonight, your husband is waiting with a surprise....

...Ps. this invitation as a pass for you....

"Why?, is there a problem?," he asked me who thought hard.

"You have to come, let me drive you" he bargained.

"Let's go, I've messed up 2 important parties. Looks like the party wasn't part of me" I said sadly.

"Come here, it says the husband of the lady will give a surprise. I'll be with you, "his smile is encouraging to me. I nodded in agreement.

"Rest, I'll pick you up around 10 here" he promised.

"Thank you Garth. So where are you waiting?" asked me, who felt guilty about not being able to take her to my place.

"Miss don't worry about me. Take a break, we'll meet at 10 o'clock ya" he said. I parted with him.

My thoughts were anxious, this was Cetrine's club, how I would deal with it later, the last time I met I messed up his party and his anger and accusations against me were scratching a wound in my heart.

...****************...

Peridot Club has been busy welcoming a lavish party of 5-star hotel owners in Aquamarine, one of Cetrine's friends during college. Topaz too.

Starting at 10 o'clock the party was opened, various food and drinks were deliberately distributed free to visitors downstairs.

"Thank You Cet, you're an amazing party organizer" the hotel owner said.

"Of course, there's nothing Cetrine Peridote can't do" he said proudly.

"Unless one gets Topaz Zephyr," a party guest quipped by a friend.

Cetrine responded casually, "saying who I can't get. Topaz adores me, I'll take what's mine."

"Of course, you're the queen" chirped someone.

"Consider the party, there are things I have to do" he said.

Cetrine steps out of his club to tell the guard to let him in on Ruby Zephyr's behalf.

Cetrine looks anxious because the time is soon at 11, the man she was waiting for never came. Several times I tried calling him for free.

Fortunately Topaz's tall body was seen in the crowd. Cetrine's eyes followed her increasingly close steps.

"Look, who's coming" said Cetrine, showing off Topaz. The guests cheered boisterously at Topaz and some of his regrets.

"You are amazing, you can bring in a married man" whispered the party owner. Cetrine could only smile in response to her chirps.

Topaz approached Cetrine, "i'm coming don't forget your promise" whispered Topaz.

"Sure honey." He whispered in Topaz's ear. The body pressed Topaz's body, "as long as you do me tonight, the little gossip will be meed. Believe me, I don't break the promise" he explained by sounding mendayu_dayu.

Topaz tried to avoid being close to him but it was in vain, "don't reject me" he threatened.

The party gets more lively when the silly game starts to play. Those upstairs are playing The King.

The essence of this game is that whoever gets the King card will rule the other card holders according to King's wishes.

"Look at me King" said Cetrine proudly. "I want someone to kiss me," the god is spoiled.

"Guess the card first" chirped the man next to Topaz.

"Will you kiss the prince" the owner of the party chimed in.

Topaz just sat down ignoring the babble of his friend.

"I have to guess correctly then," said Cetrine, "can't I get a clue." Cetrine blinked for help from the person next to Topaz.

"Stop cheating" the party owner grumbled.

"sst.. You don't have the right to talk" hardik Cetrine.

Topaz's phone rang, seeing the name of Topaz's sudden caller rush out of the room. Cetrine was unhappy because of Topaz's attitude.

An officer came in, whispered something to Cetrine, which ended with a smile on her face.

"You play without us" he left the room, looking for Topaz, who was still busy with his phone.

Meanwhile outside the Peridot club, I was accompanied by Garreth in the welcome to enter. The guard showed us the way.

"Please wait here" said the bodyguard.

This is my first time coming to the Club, this place looks elegant, classy modern style. I spread my eyes and recognized Topaz's figure upstairs.

"Hubby," I cried out in excitement that was impossible to hear.

"Where?." I pointed up at a man who was on the phone.

"Miss sure." I nodded confidently.

A woman approached him, twisted Topaz's body and immediately kissed him. Garreth's hands swiftly covered my eyes, but I could already imagine how it would go, even though I didn't see it.

"We'd better go home, it's not the lady's husband. Believe it." His hand still covered my eyes, Garreth led me out of the club.

Arriving outside Garreth just released his hand from my eyes. "Miss, we're home. I'll drive you."

"Did that woman kiss him?" I asked.

"No," he said.

"You lied to Garth" I accuse you.

No rebuttal, no sayings, Garreth just drove his sedan to my laughing griya.

"Miss, I'll pick you up tomorrow. I just got word from Dad that the lawyer wants to see you tomorrow."

I just nodded my head.

Somehow I got to my gold griya. My feet don't feel like they're on the floor. I repeatedly thought I was sure it was Topaz, my husband, myhubby.

I was pensive on the sofa, the lights I accidentally turned on. In the dark I try to clear my mind. Until I realized the door was open.

"Ruby," he called in surprise to find me in the darkness. "why not turn on the lights?," he asked.

With his usual demeanor, Topaz let out a kiss on my cheek, as I drew closer to my lips turned my face, tears falling uncontrollably.

Topaz was confused to see me cry, "why? You sick?." I shook my head, Topaz grabbed me in his arms. I held him tight, not wanting to lose him.

As a result of exhaustion crying, I fell asleep in his arms. Topaz carried me to the bed and covered me. Close my room door.

Topaz grabbed his phone, just one sentence "Wait 7" and then closed it again. When I got back to my room, I was already leaning on the bed.

"Hubby,"

"Uhm,"

"It." I'm giving you a letter from the lawyer. "Tomorrow I have to go home to Rosewood, Garth will pick me up" I explained.

"We'll talk tomorrow." Topaz threw his letter without reading it.

"Hubby, i.. "

"I know what you're doing Ruby. And what do you want to talk about, it's just that the time is not now. Rest, please."

"You know I'm at the peridot club."

"Yes." Yeah." I shut my mouth to hear the answer.

So that kiss was a surprise to me, is that hubby.

Topaz climbed into the bed after changing clothes, I was still fixated on hearing the answer.

"Come here" he commanded. My body always obeyed its will without refuting. I called out my head to his chest, spoiled in his arms.

"Sleep. I'll tell you everything tomorrow" he promised.

Hubby, don't disappoint me.
