He Who Came Among Us

He Who Came Among Us
Something feels awkward

Admiring the good looks of Topaz Zephyr was indeed endless. His sleeping face makes me so opiate. My index finger paints it from the arch of his black eyebrows, his closed eyes, his nose to his sensual lips that are good at flirting.

"August," she said.

Hearing her voice I snapped until I pulled my finger from her face. Slowly opened his eyes revealing his brownish eyeballs.

"Say, what do you think of your Hubby?" she said.

"Nothing," I tried to break away from him, no less quickly than me to hold his waist until part of my body was above his body.

"really. You're lying," her teasing smile tickled my stomach.

I'm trying to divert the conversation, "Who called last night?,"

There was doubt when he answered. "Someone. And we have to end our vacation. We're going home now." Topaz let go of his embrace and went to the bathroom.

Can my friend take longer.

Disappointment followed especially my doubts about Topaz's feelings for me. From the beginning of our marriage, we never even said the word love. But with Topaz's treatment, all the charms, can I just mean that there's affection for me.

Topaz came out the bathroom just wrapped a towel around his waist. Her wet, naked upper body spurred my adrenaline. I was stunned to see him take off the towel, and I immediately covered my face with my arms.

His laughter could be heard seeing my reaction. "Didn't you like it, for what shame. You kissed me mischievously last night" he said, now walking up to me.

Topaz had been wearing his shorts but not his shirt. His upper body shows how beautiful sports form his muscles. The drops of water from her hair added to my wild imagination of wanting to touch her.

"You don't mind if we go home. Next time we can come here again, play as much as you want." Topaz put my finger to his lips doing a kiss that teased me.

Uh! I can't dampen my desire for his treatment. Each touch is now an opium to my body that is increasingly craving it.

"again dumb."

His hand clutching my nape pulled me closer releasing his kiss. Not until there, now his hands began to guerrilla down to reveal my dress and touch my skin.

I pushed her as she started to tease into my chest. His laughter mocked me now. I shuffled to justify my dress, disappearing into the bathroom.

"Don't be a long time darling, or I'll leave you on this island" he shouted.

My trip back didn't make me drunk. But instead, Topaz was busy with his phone ignoring me who could now enjoy the scenery.

We arrived at the port of Aquamarin City at noon. There is no sign of Soka's arrival to pick up, instead a car has been prepared.

"Where to go?" I asked, surprised not to see his loyal assistant.

"Delivering guests is not invited" he replied in an irritated tone.

I was amazed by Topaz's reply.

Who was the uninvited guest that irritated Hubby?.

Garreth was the uninvited guest Topaz spoke of. He had been waiting in the living room of griya tawang Topaz.

"Miss Ruby," she said Friendly.

I could not hide my expression of joy seeing Garreth and rushing to run to greet her, before a rough hand stopped my desire with a grip on my arm.

"Madam Zephyr" corrects Topaz, "what do you want?," a rude speech impressed cursing out of Topaz's mouth.

"I need to talk to Miss I mean Mrs Ruby, plantation matters," she replied.

"What's wrong with the plantation?" I asked in panic.

"You don't need to know" said Topaz rudely.

"I'm his heir, and I have the right to know" I said.

"You have a debt, then your right is just a name" Topaz said.

Anger had already rubbed him, visible from his clenched jaws.

"Madam Ruby needs to know about it and check it out straight away. My father was sick until I came all the way here so the plantation could walk. The madam can handle it when she's there. Only the Madam can. I beg Mr. Zephyr to reconsider his decision" Garreth said, holding back his emotions.

Topaz did not answer and vanished into his study.

"wait. I'll try to persuade him" I said.

I suspect he's the one who's opening the documents on his desk.

"Hubbys.. "

"No!." he snapped.

"Listen to my explanation... "

Topas closed the rough documents he read. His voice filled the room.

"Try thinking back. You need the best quality wine to keep your wine quality, so let me go. It won't be long" I asked.

"Don't bargain with me. Who do you think you are. My men can review it. All you need to do is stay by my side, "the hardship.

"Hubby. I know my plantation better than anyone else,"

His anger could no longer be controlled. His voice grew even higher, "Don't argue with me, Ruby Celeste." String.

What possessed him until he was this angry.

"Hubbys.. "

"Be quiet you have no right to speak."

Topaz has been overdue and I have withheld his every treatment of me especially his requests and orders.

"I'll leave even if you don't allow it" I insisted.

"Ruby, don't cross the line. The duty of the wife is beside the husband and obeying his words. "

I left her. Topaz followed me, pulling my hand.

"Let go. " cried.

Hearing my screams Garreth and Soka came together.

"Take Miss off right now" said Garreth, who disliked Topaz's treatment.

"Curtain! I'm her husband, I have nothing to do with you" she said.

"He's the master of Celeste's estate, and I work for him. I won't let him be treated with disrespect" Garreth said.

His grip tightened even more on my arm, his nails sticking up causing me to grimace.

"Master. Madam is in pain," said Soka.

Topaz glanced at me who was grimacing in pain until it violently blew me away. His sudden movements made me lose my balance, Garreth was the one who caught me so as not to fall to the floor.

"Hubbys.. You're outrageous" I groaned in pain.

I looked into his eyes full of annoyance. "If you want me by your side, you have to pick me up!." That was my last ultimatum.

Immediately I pulled Garreth with me out of the charmer's griya without bringing anything. Sayup heard Topaz makian accompanying my departure.

We entered the elevator, "Miss is this a good thing?. Miss better come back."

I didn't bother Garreth, I was too emotional with Topaz's outrageous behavior.

"Take me to Rosewood. He'll apologize and pick me up there" I said sure.

Really do?!.

During the trip no words were spoken. I endured my tears by leaning against the door glass, thank God my body was tired and tired to the point of drowsiness attacking me.

"Miss Ruby."

The whispers in my ears plus the slow shocks in my body resuscitated me immediately. I slowly opened my eyes, stunned I looked at the look of an anxious face. Her dimple smile was visible when I opened my eyes.

"It's here" he said.

Garreth got out of the car, I looked around even though it was dark, I could still recognize my residence.

The plantation at night was so dark and silent, only the sound of the night beast was heard. The lighting is available only from my home.

I looked at Eldred standing up to greet me at the door. Her warm embrace touched my heart longing for the presence of my parents.

"Aren't you sick. Rest uncle," I said, "we're talking about the plantation tomorrow, yes" I said.

Eldred nodded. I went straight to my room, exhausted by the journey causing me to fall asleep as soon as I touched the bed.

I woke up in the middle of the night, my stomach was beeping. The house at night gives me a horror effect. Walking into the kitchen is a challenge when the room is dark. I squatted down looking for food. Suddenly a voice held my breath.

Kriet's..

The sound of the door being pushed catapulted me who was crouching. Without the lights, I could not see who was coming, I was petrified waiting for his invisible figure.

Are there ghosts in my house?.

"Badd.." The cry of someone made me flinch until I threw the bread I was holding.

The sound of laughter filled the kitchen space which was now illuminated by lights. I stood staring in annoyance at Garreth.

"I'm sorry, Miss Ruby" she said in between her laughter.

"What is she doing?" he continued after his laughter.

"Hunger, try making a sandwich." I pointed to the bread he caught.

"Sit down, let me make it," he said.

Garreth painstakingly prepared all the ingredients needed to make the sandwich at my request.

"What's uncle's condition?" I asked.

"It's better. The old man was not easily uprooted by disease, believe me." he replied casually while concocting a sandwich bread. "Miss didn't call your husband?" he asked. I'm shaking.

"Since when did you call me Miss. You always call me Ruby,"

"Not worth it,"

"You changed Garrth,"

Garreth just smiled at my words, offered the bread made by him that I immediately ate.

"Be a good wife Miss." He said while giving me a drink.

I laughed bitterly at his advice. How to be a good wife to a Topaz Zephyr?. If there's a tutorial, maybe I'm joining studying it right now.

I'm trying to shift the conversation, "Garrth, how's your job?."

"Lumayan. My boss is very kind and interested in this plantation,"

"Oh yeah, I can,"

"I showed him some photos and he was interested because of the best quality of Rosewood wine, especially Celeste,"

"Good to hear. What kind of job are you in?." I asked, "i haven't talked to you in a long time. Now you're arrogant, don't care about me anymore."

My age and Garreth's difference is about 7 years. At the age of 22 Garreth decided to study and work abroad after his mother's passing.

Garreth smiled shyly, "the making of Wine is the same as your husband. Don't laugh at me."

I was stunned to hear that. "Oh yeah!," I cried.

Gerreth smiled happily at my reaction. "I was interested in wine when I was a kid. Maybe dad taught me the ins and outs of wine and I want to learn the next process."

I muttered because my mouth was full of bread, "Uhm."

After I swallowed the bread, I finally said, "Maybe I should be like you too. Studying everything. To run the plantation."

Yeah, I have to change. Not relying on Topaz for the betterment of my estate.

"It is with pleasure to help Miss," he said, revealing a dimple smile on his cheek.

I haven't talked to him in a long time. Approximately 5 years passed carrying the snot youth to be dashing.

"Miss did something happen when I left?, Dad didn't tell me," he asked.

"For example?." I finished eating and brought my dirty dishes and glasses to the wetafel.

I looked at him to find out what was on his mind. "Maybe it's just my feelings" he said later.

"Sleep. Let me wash it. Tomorrow you have to get up early and take care of what's going on" she said, pushing me out of the kitchen.

"What's really going on?. During the trip here you didn't talk a bit about this," I said curiously.

"Miss, will find out tomorrow" he said convincingly.

What Garreth knows and hides from me.

I didn't argue much anymore knowing it was getting late and he needed a break.

"Thank you for the sandwich and good night, Garrth."

"Night Miss. Dream good," her smile accompanied my departure.

Suppose Topaz was like Garreth how happy I was. It's just my dream that I don't know when it will happen. But my love for him grew, so I became more afraid when this feeling turned into love.

I pensively leaned back on the bed, seeing hubby getting angry today freaked me out. I held my wrist looking reddish and his nails faintly imprinted.

Will hubby pick me up? What if this doesn't happen, can I go back to his side?.

I lost that thought, trying to go back to sleep. The most important thing right now is the farm. What really happened was that Topaz banned me so hard.
