Hellbents
Chapter 182: Unstable

Ava's head still hasn't fully thought properly.

After being poisoned by a nightmare that hurt every vulnerable point in his heart, he was immediately parachuted into an absurd situation even though half his brain had already accepted the logic of this fantasy world.

Ava is half confused, the other half gives up ... or despair?

The girl did not even understand her own feelings.

So she clung to the only familiar thing she could reach, Ellijah's face. All Ava loves is Duke Frost's blue bead, because Alex has a warm honey brown iris.

His hand stroked the chest of his (fake) fiance. "I'm fine now," whispered the girl to Ellijah's composure who was clearly still shaken by whatever she saw.

Ava wasn't lying. Well, at least physically.

Although her entire body was moistened by blood and the pain she felt at the beginning of the process made Ava prefer to be chopped straight away, the glitching phenomenon always leaves itself with a fresh sensation that replenishes the lost energy.

" ... All right?" Yet Ellijah looked at Ava as if the girl was growing another lip on her face, total nonsense. "Do you know what I just saw?! Your skin peels-No! Your whole body turns like sand and moves around! Plentiful blood! And gosh! Suddenly it's fused again!"

Hearing her description alone Ava grimaced bitterly. Ouw, is that really the process? Ava actually never had time to look directly, too focused to keep her sanity intact when her body glitching.

"But it's all over, I'm fine now."

The girl's efforts in calming Ellijah were not at all successful. Laughter is more frustrating than humor. "You don't understand my feelings at all."

How Ellijah's heart almost stopped beating when her girlfriend suddenly fainted and was unconscious.

How he wanted so badly to scream for help but then remember that Eve asked him to keep this a secret.

How his mind was consumed by worry as the red liquid soaked the bodies of the two.

How could he only whisper the name of his fiancee when the most frightening sight occurred directly before his eyes.

"What the fuck was that?!" A curse? The effect of someone's skill?

Ava herself did not know, but from the first time she saw it she called it "glitching", because her body that turned into a blue screen was very similar to the glitch in a computer. But it is not possible to explain this without taking a long detour so as not to offend the original dimensions, unfortunately Ava is too tired now to be used to think. So he took a shortcut. "You already know that my heart is leaking, don't you?"

"You said it would heal on its own?!" Ellijah exclaimed, almost accusing. Which heart cases leak rarely exist, let alone the treatment process. In other words, the man knew nothing, which was merely stirring up a hot temper that melted what was left of his senses.

"Indeed, but that's the process."

"Don't-"

"Gosh, Rina!" The heads of the two jerked towards the origin of the sound. River stood with a look of horror on his face, not far from there was Queen Isabel with a worried frown.

The couple was deliberately given alone time, but hours without news certainly foster paranoid feelings, especially they were in a labyrinth filled with monsters.

River immediately ran, leaving Queen Isabel who he was supposed to be guarding. But fortunately the queen could not blame the monster tamer.

The girl looks .. bad, her lightness term.

On the other hand, Ellijah tightened her arms, turning around, showing her back to River who was greeting them frantically.

Shocked by the sentence that seemed like a warning, River exploded, showing his resolute side that did not appear often. "Don't hug him too tightly! Don't you see his whole bloody body! What about the wound if it gets worse?!"

"You don't know-"

"Agh, I'm fine!" Stuck between two men yelling at each other only makes Ava upset. He pushes Ellijah's chest apart, separating their bodies. The girl then stood firm, firm. "Look!"

With a rough gust, Ava first left the two of them, walking towards Queen Isabel who was still fixated on her position. "Your Majesty, forgive me for my messy appearance. But may I ask for help to borrow His Majesty's ability to cleanse myself?"

The queen was initially silent, then released the anxiety that crept her through the air. The girl in front of him at least seemed to have no problem moving or feeling pain. Without a word, mana with water and wind attributes enveloped Ava from head to toe. Not long after, Ava was clean and dry.

And true, there are no visible wounds from the exposed skin.

Isabella broke the long silence between the four of them. "We'd better join the others, our camping ground is ready from earlier."

Nodding, Ava followed the steps of the queen.

Ellijah doesn't like it when she's dumped by Eve, but at least the tamer is treated the same.

He smiled, taking it as a mental victory.

Unfortunately, Ava did not have enough patience capacity to deal with King Dion. Not when his emotions are still unstable.

"This is my bed! Only I can sleep here!"

The meeting of their two groups led to the sudden growth of the members. There are now 10 people including Ava in it. The number is not small automatically requires a larger space to be used as their campsite. Using wood from a gift crate and shabby clothes, Ava managed to make a makeshift mattress as their bed. Not pretty and uncomfortable, but that's the best thing Ava can make out of limited material.

At first, many nobles protested. But they were silent when the girl said no matter, "Then you can sleep directly on the ground, I don't forbid." They then imitated the tutorial that Ava showed.

Well, they're all quiet, except for one.

King Dion. "My bed should be bigger, softer. I'm the king here!"

Ava wanted to stuff the king's mouth with a dirty cloth in his hand. Why is the king's useless behavior becoming more and more unbearable?

What was Ava's reaction?

He just turned around. Again, it doesn't matter. Not problem.

The fake princess prefers to play with Siwon rather than handle the chatty old man who doesn't know he's lucky.

Ellijah looked at the girl with wide eyes. The corner of Ava's lips lifted into a grin, "How did you handle her yesterday?"

"Um ..., we never sleep?"

Completely explains why there are black bags under Ellijah's eyes.

Wait a minute, so his efforts to be patient all this time were in vain?!
