Hijrah in the Way of God

Hijrah in the Way of God
Eating with the orphanage

Bu Minah glanced outwards, she saw a girl who was still wearing a school uniform with a hijab on her head. The girl seemed to be talking to the children of the home.

"Who is that girl, son?" ask Minah to the young man in front of her.

"Oh that's Rahma, Mom. Schoolmate Ridho," replied Ridho who turned to Rahma at a glance then looked at Minah ma'am.

"Tumben you brought a friend here. Usually only alone," said Minah saw Rahma from inside the parlour.

Ridho just smiled in response, he did not answer Minah's mother's words. He looked at Rahma from a distance with a happy look at Rahma who was laughing with the children of the orphanage.

"Do you like that girl?" The question just popped into Minah's mouth.

Ridho turned towards Minah and nodded his head.

"I thought you liked that girl. I'm so glad you like a sholehah girl like her. Your choice is right, son. I will pray for you to be a match with the girl," said Minah who looked happy with the girl in front of the orphanage.

"Thank you Ma'am" said Ridho, who kept smiling.

Slowly Minah walked out of the parlour into the courtyard. He approached Rahma who was still telling stories and laughing with the orphanage children. Ridho also followed Minah out of the parlour into the courtyard.

"Isn't it true you're Ridho's friend?" asked Minah gently to Rahma who was sitting on a mat laid out in the courtyard of the parlour.

"Yes Mom. I am Ridho's schoolmate," replied Ridho assembali smiling kindly

"Let's go inside Nak we're eating together inside. Mom just prepared the food inside," Minah asked.

"Kids come inside. I've prepared food for you," exclaimed Minah slightly raised her voice to be heard by all the children of the home.

Rahma agreed to Minah's invitation and followed Minah's mother into the home with the children of the home and also Ridho.

Inside the parlour at the dining table looks a lot of neatly arranged food there.

Minah's mother sits on the desk dean's chair and is followed by the orphanage's children and Rahma and Ridho also occupy herself there.

Looks like the children of the orphanage eagerly want to eat food on the long table. But stopped by Minah's mother before they scooped the rice into her mouth.

"Eh children do not forget to pray first" said Minah reminded.

The children put down their spoons and recited prayers after eating the delayed food into his mouth.

There is no conversation when everyone is eating. Everything looks cool with the food of Minah's mom's cooking.

When you finish eating, say thank you in your heart.

Then Minah moved the dirty dishes to the kitchen assisted by Rahma.

Ridho also helped move plates and glasses to the kitchen.

In the kitchen looks like Minah is washing dishes and also the glass that has been used earlier.

Rahma saw it taking the initiative to help.

"Mom let me wash the dishes. Mother rest," said Rahma approaching Minah's mother.

"No need, son," refused Ms. Minah.

"Mom Rahma was right, Mom. Mother rest, let us both do the dishes" exclaimed Ridho who had just come to the kitchen with a dirty plate in his hand.

"Alright," said Minah who finally obeyed.

Miss Minah left that kitchen. While Ridho approached Rahma who coolly washed the dishes.

"Just go on and wash the dishes. You just sit there," said Ridho referring to a chair in the kitchen.

"Let me alone" said Rahma without looking.

"Rahma give me the plate. I'll wash it down, you sit down" Ridho said.

Rahma sighed and gave the plate to Ridho.

Ridho washed all the dishes with origin. Rahma laughed looking at that and took over the plate again in Ridho's hand.

"That's not the way," said Rahma then taught Ridho how to wash dishes properly.

But instead of paying attention to it, he looked at the face of the girl who was quite close to him.

"Do you understand how?" ask Rahma.

"Rulr."

Rahma's call broke her daydream.

"What was that," he said.

"May repeat the way" Pinta Ridho.

Rahma took the dishes that were still dirty and demonstrated how to clean the dishes on Ridho.

"Oh so." Ridho finally understood and tried to wash dishes that were still dirty in the way that Rahma taught.

In the spirit of Ridho washed all the remaining dishes. And he didn't think he could clean everything.

Rahma smiled at that, not expecting a proud-looking young man to wash dishes like that.

"Alhamdulillah finally finished too," said Ridho like successfully completing a mission.

"What do you think. Is it suitable to be your dream husband," Ridho teased the girl next to him.

The girl did not respond, she just left from there. There was actually a sense of pleasure in his heart hearing Ridho's words, but he was afraid that one day he would be disappointed. He did not fully believe the young man's words.

"I was wrong to talk. Why'd he leave?" ridho murmured in his heart.

The young man followed Rahma into the living room. There Rahma had been sitting on the sofa with Minah's mother and the children of the orphanage.

Bu Minah was seen telling Rahma. And a few moments after that the sound of azan signifies the time of prayer magrib has come.

"It's magrib kids let's pray," invited Minah ma'am.

The orphanage children followed Minah to the orphanage mosque and Rahma also participated. So did Ridho, he also followed to mushola.

"Ridho you are the priest, yes" Minah said to the young man named Ridho.

"Don't Bang Ridho Bu. Let me be the priest," cried Haris who appeared to come forward.

"Eh what the hell are you. Ridho is a more mature man here so let him be the priest," said Minah who made the steps of the boy named Haris stopped and looked back.

"Bang Ridho's mother can't be a priest. Just pray I'm not sure he can" Haris said dismissively.

"Where do you know Ridho can't pray?" ask Minah ma'am in a rather high tone to the boy.

"He said he had not prayed since he was 8 years old. I had asked him to pray at that time but he did not want to," Haris explained staring at Ridho.

"Is that so Ridho?" tanya Minah asked that question to Ridho.

"Yes, Mom. Ridho has not prayed since his mother died. But a few months ago Ridho had prayed again" he said.

"That means you can be a priest, right?" ask Minah again.

Ridho nodded, "God willing, ma'am" he said confidently.

"Yes let's go ahead," said Minah ma'am and Ridho stood in front of the priest prayer.

Ridho's voice was so melodious as he read al-Fatiah and other letters.

After finishing the prayer, Minah smiled at Ridho, then turned to look at Haris.

"That Ridho isn't what you said. Even his voice was very good when he became a priest," said Minah.

"Sorry Mom" said the boy.

"Why do you apologize. Apologize to Ridho there," said Minah who was surprised to see the boy.

"Sorry Bang" continued the boy.

Ridho nodded his head and smiled.

"Allah the servant did not expect him to change much now. Hopefully he will be better" said Rahma's heart.
