Hijrah in the Way of God

Hijrah in the Way of God
Finally

Ridho had just arrived at his house. Slowly his feet stepped closer to the middle-aged man who was sitting on the sofa. He looked hard at the man.

"Pa, I want to talk?"

Ridho tried to hold back his emotions. He really did not want to see the man's face. There were already many injuries that the middle-aged man had made to him. From small to now. Hermann remains the same. Not much has changed.

"Sit down!" Hermana. "What's wrong?" tanyakanya.

"Catalin the deal, Pa. I don't want to get engaged to a girl I don't love."

Ridho's hands clenched. He wanted to kill the man in front of him. Punching his shitty face. But he will not do it considering that the man is his own father.

"That papa can't do. Papa will be very embarrassed if you cancel the marriage," said Hermana.

Ridho smiled wryly. I knew his dad would say that. Hermana just thinking about herself never wanted to understand how Ridho felt. Ridho was really astonished. Why would he have such a selfish father.

"alright. As late as you want to do what." Emphasize every word. "I'm going to get out of this house."

Ridho quickly climbed the stairs to the top floor. Entering the room and exiting with a suitcase in hand.

Ridho looked at Hermana as he was back down. He threw the car keys in front of Hermana. "Papa don't worry I won't bring any gifts, Papa. I don't need any of that."

Ridho finally left the house. Without any more burden. He tried sincerely. Treasure is not everything. He will be happy with the girl he loves. But for a moment he thought. Is Rahma willing to accept it with her current state? He has nothing left. All he had was love for the girl. There was fear in him. Afraid Rahma would stay away again. He could not do it without the girl by his side.

Here Ridho is now. Inside the blue cab that kept driving that night.

It's been an hour since the taxi drove around. Ridho doesn't know where he's going. He has no home. Not much money he has.

"Where are we going?"

The taxi driver looked tired. He had asked several times, but all he asked was silence. A little annoyed, he asked again. "Where are we going?"

This time in a loud voice. It's possible that the passenger has a problem with his hearing.

"Yes, Sir?"

Succeeds. Ridho finally responded.

"Stop in front, sir."

The taxi stopped right in front of a house that read 'there is an empty contract.' Choosing a rental rather than a hotel for a place to stay is the right choice.

Ridho got off the taxi. Walking dragging a suitcase closer to a middle-aged woman sitting on the porch seat of her home.

"Excuse me, Mum. Is there an empty contract?"

The middle-aged woman was silent for a moment. Paying attention to the handsome young man's appearance from the bottom up. It seems that young man is not a difficult person. Why look for a contract.

"Is there an empty contract?"

Ridho repeated asking when the middle-aged woman did not respond. "I again need a contract for a place to live" he explained.

"There was. Over there."

Ridho laid his body on a mattress that was not too soft. The room is not spacious. But it's fine. Ridho is more comfortable here than at home. More precisely his father's house.

"Congratulations Sir. You're welcome to work here."

"Thank you, sir."

Ridho looked enthusiastic. He was recently accepted as Manager of the Hans Group Company. Private companies engaged in electronic equipment.

Ridho smiled looking at his reflection in the mirror. Today is the wedding day of the young man. He looks very handsome with the bridal outfit he wears.

''A piece of woy."

Indra seemed careless waiting for Ridho who had not finished - finished reflecting from earlier. "It's been a long time!" objurgation.

"Whisper!"

"We're 2 minutes late woy. Ntar who is a bini lo candidate married to Dimas."

Ridho's eyes are rounded. He quickly moved from the mirror and pulled Indra's hand out of his contract. "Let's hurry!" Entering Indra's car parked outside.

Indra's car drove at medium speed to the mosque where Ridho's wedding ceremony was held. A few minutes on the way finally Indra luxury car arrived in front of Al-ikhlas mosque. Slowly Ridho got down from the car to the mosque followed by Indra behind him.

"God willing, the bridegroom is very handsome."

The mothers who attended the event looked amazed by Ridho's good looks. There are also those who look envious of the bride-to-be.

"It's very nice of you, Bro."

Dino blabbed as Ridho was already sitting in front of the penghulu. The young man who works as a Biology teacher seemed to smile happily. Ridho only replied with a faint smile.

The father of the bride shook Ridho's hand. Following penghulu's instructions. "Brother of Ridho Ahmad Wibowo bin Hermana Wibowo. I marry and marry you to Rahma Putri Ramadhani bint Ridwan with her dowry of gold weighing 100 grams paid in cash."

"I accept the marriage and marriage of Rahma Putri Ramadhani bint Ridwan with the dowry paid in cash" said Ridho with one breath.

"Where are the legitimate witnesses?" asked the ruler to look at some witnesses.

They all answered, "Well." Then continue the words of alhamdulillah and prayer.

Rahma crucified Ridho's hand. Ridho smiled sweetly and then slowly kissed his wife's forehead.

Indra seemed to be smiling to himself seeing that. He was imagining that he was the one who married the girl he liked.

"Rahma I'm sorry."

Ridho was sitting next to Rahma that night. With guilt in him.

Rahma nodded in wonder. "I'm sorry for what?" tanyakanya. Her eyes looked into her husband's eyes asking for answers.

"Color is married to me you so stay in a contract like this. I should've made you happy wasn't making you hard."

Ridho grasped Rahma's hand rubbing it gently.

"My happiness is you. So don't think if I'm unhappy. Trust me I'm so happy when I'm close to you, my husband. I love you Ridho."

Ridho's eyes glazed over at the declaration of love from his wife. The young man pulled his lips until he smiled.

"I love you too, Rahma. Love you so much."

His hand smothered Rahma's body. The embrace was warm for Rahma. A hug that is now lawful to him. Slowly her hands stretched out to return her husband's embrace. He rubbed his back with affection. She really loved her husband. So does Ridho, he also loves his wife.

Ridho takes off Rahma's veil. The beautiful long hair he could see again. Not just because it was unintentionally like before when helping Rahma. But because Rahma's aurat was only for her who had become the husband of the girl.

Ridho kissed his wife's forehead. Rahma closed her eyes. There was the beating of both of their hearts that were beating fast. This is only the first time for him. He's really happy. Getting married without a date is much more beautiful. As felt by the girl.
