40. Childhood Friend

During the holidays, Felyn never enjoyed it well. The days were spent with uncertain waiting. Waiting for the figure of the father will come to pick him up according to the promise that has been said when it comes to attending the day of farewell at school.

"Let's have breakfast, son!" take Anna. This morning he will accompany his son shopping for equipment to enter Primary School.

Without answering, Felyn headed to the dining table. He was so lazy to eat that only two spoons could he force to swallow.

Anna already knew the cause but she also felt the prestige to contact Eric. Mr. Nico, Anna's father also forbade anyone to contact Eric because he thought, if Eric was a man in charge then he would come to pick up his wife and child without having to be called.

Felyn had already turned into a quiet and quick-tempered child. He spends more time in the room by doodling in books. Every time Yura came to ask him to play, he always reasoned that he was sleepy. Yura also no longer dared to contact Eric because he was threatened by Mr. Nico and of course he did not want to lose his job as a shopkeeper.

Eric called and chatted to Yura a few times but he ignored it and never told Anna.

After finishing breakfast, Anna told her parents to go out shopping for her son's school needs.

Arriving at the shopping center, Anna asks her son about the items she likes but not once Felyn makes a sound. All her mother's questions were only responded to by shoulder movements so Anna could not interpret, her son liked it or not with the items shown to him.

While he was busy choosing a school bag, suddenly his shoulder was patted by someone who made him shocked. He looked back and saw a man wearing a brown jacket, black jeans, a white combination black hat, and a mask.

Anna watched carefully but she did not recognize the man at all.

"Let's guess who I am?" said the man with shady and friendly eyes.

"Sorry, I don't know you!" anna was astonished that she had never known the man before her at this moment.

"It's okay if you don't know, please shop first, later I will invite you to rest at the store across the street!" said the man while pointing to the tavern in question.

Anna again chose a bag that was considered suitable for Felyn although with a heart that is still curious about the man who is familiar with her. Meanwhile, the man was still standing at the back and continued to take Anna seriously.

After shopping, the man took them to the store across the street and without being asked he grabbed the groceries from Anna's hand and took them.

Anna was still hesitant but seeing the man's polite demeanor, she finally took Flyn's hand and followed her from behind.

"Don't you say that this boy is your son, he must be your son, right?" the man said after they sat down facing one table.

"Sorry before, this is my son, his name is Felyn!" anna said seriously.

"Anna's... Anna, you never change well, being small always keeps me from being calm,"

"You mean?"

"Nana... Nana...," said the man again while shaking his head and his gaze could not be separated from Anna's face which was getting anxious because of curiosity.

"Wait a minute, you must be Randy, Beni..., or Gaius!" anna with spirit. He tried to remember his childhood which was always accompanied by the three names that he had mentioned. Understandably, in the complex they used to only be the daughter and three male friends who were always with him until they finished Elementary School.

"Not three names at once, just one!" tease the man again.

Anna was still busy recalling her childhood friend and matching up with the traits of the man before her at the moment. Meanwhile, the waiter had come to bring the ordered drinks and placed them on the table.

Felyn who was thirsty immediately grabbed the cold drink and enjoyed it. He paid no heed to the conversation between his mother and the man who was foreign to him.

"It's not wrong, you're Beni, right?" guess Anna after sipping orange juice that makes her throat feel cool.

"One hundred for beautiful Nana and ayu!" beni said while clapping. He opened his mask and smiled sweetly. A smile that never changed since childhood, a sincere smile that Anna had felt when Randy and Gaius disturbed her then Beni would come to her help. Every day the four of them always seem to play together but sometimes there are things that make them quarrel and sometimes even end up in a fight to not talk to each other but not enough one hour they seem to get along.

Unknowingly the two hugged to let go of longing despite several pairs of eyes turning towards them but both did not care.

After finishing Elementary School, Beni's parents moved to Sumatra because his father was assigned there and as an ASN certainly always obeyed government regulations and since then they never met again.

"How are you doing now?" asked Anna to release her embrace.

"As you can see" said Beny widening his smile.

Anna smiled and was amazed to see her friend who had changed a lot. Now his body is not skinny flat anymore but has been strapping and filled.

"Let's go, my best friend Mama!" said Anna making Beni's brows furrowed.

"Seriously, is he your son?" ask Beni not to believe it.

Anna nodded making Beni's face change. He looked very disappointed because Anna was still single like him.

"You're messing around, aren't you?" ask Beni again who is still hoping that the boy who is in Anna's shoes right now is his uncle.

During this time he often dreamed about Anna and from his dreams it caused a sense of longing that made him desperate to come to this city to look for her.

"What about you, do you have children?" ask Anna.

"It's just not the wife, let alone the child," said Beni with a forced smile.

Anna is flabbergasted because she doesn't believe her best friend's words. The atmosphere was silent for a while and each one was busy with his thoughts.
