3. When Waking Up in the Morning

Aria enters Kanva's room. The room was so neat and the faint aroma of Kanva's perfume still felt faint there. Slowly but surely, Aria entered the space getting deeper and deeper. His hand touched the table before he sat on Kanva's oversized chair.

He saw a picture frame placed on the table. It was a picture of the two of them in a museum. Aria touched the frame, especially the smiling face of Kanva.

“Money Young after I investigate. I found that the stock price went down all because of Klein's company. Looks like they took the chance to defeat Killian Group. Lf it doesn't? How can stocks drop drastically.”

Aria was silent because she was busy with her thoughts. He pondered for a while before expressing all his thoughts to Franz.

Kanva put the empty glass on the nightstand next to her.

“You were unconscious for a few days, so my family referred you to the city. After you woke up, I was really surprised. What's your name?”

“My name...” Kanva opened her lips but she herself did not know what she was going to answer. His mind was completely empty. He was confused by his own name. “I don't know.”

“You can't remember your name? Are you from here?”

“I don't know.”

Luckily Kanva only had temporary amnesia and it is most likely that she can still remember the past.

“Nothing, you will regain your memory slowly,” said Merlisa. He looked towards his mother. “Actually your name is Arsel. You are my master. Doctor says tomorrow you're allowed to go home.”

Kanva does not know where her home is, who her family is, whether they are still alive or not, what her name is, how old she is or if she has friends.

And here comes Kanva, in a pretty big house.

“You can rest in this room.”

“Thank you.”

Merlisa smiled and went to the kitchen to get some water.

“What do you do Merlisa?”

“What does mother mean? Why did you lie to her that you were her fiance. You don't even know his name, where he came from.”

“Bu, I don't need to know what his name is and where it came from. Ever since I met and saved her, I've been in love with her.”

“Rising, what if he has family out there, wife? Even child? What if they look for it.”

After going through the last few days with Merlisa. Kanva is beginning to be touched by his kindness.

Aria refocused on her computer screen but her focus was lost as news broke about the appointment of a general manager at a company. Aria's forehead frowned as soon as she saw the photo there.
