Chapter 30: The Land of the Rising Sun

After arriving at the land of the rising sun, Liu Huan and Ling Xiu parted ways with the grandfather who seemed immediately in a hurry to go somewhere there. Having still no idea what to do, Liu Huan decided to go for breakfast with Ling Xiu at a food stall that looked very crowded.

When they got there, they both ordered food and chatted for a while waiting for their food to come.

"Why did we come all the way here?" ask Ling Xiu again.

As they were having a casual conversation, entered a group that looked like expert pill makers. They sat across from Liu Huan's table while clucking in annoyance. Out of curiosity, Liu Huan slightly turned his gaze towards them. But suddenly, though,

One of them patted the table because he was so upset with the problems he faced.

"What the fuck is that bastard, can't he see the pill-making master being in front of him?" say one of them.

"I don't know, maybe he's the new guy who takes care of the competition" said another. "No way, every year the person who became the manager of the competition must be the same. If there are problems or changes will definitely be announced," said another.

Due to the vexation that engulfed them, by the time their drink came, one of them immediately gulped down a drink in a sizable cup.

Seeing that made Liu Huan think.

"Maybe I can use them," Liu Huan said inwardly.

Ling Xiu who sensed Liu Huan's intentions instantly snapped his head.

"Then what about me?!" liu Huan grumbled inwardly.

"Interesting, what are the conditions for joining there?" ling Xiu asked curiously.

"There are two ways to join that tournament. The first is with your identity as a member of the Pill Making Sect, and the second way is by proving that you are a pill master. It could be a pill you made as well as your cultivation technique," the person continued.

"Alright, thank you for the info" Ling Xiu said as he returned to his seat.

"How's my acting? Does it look like a real master?" ling Xiu asked Liu Huan.

"Who's the one who said don't do this weird thing?" satirical Liu Huan with flat eyes.

"Hehe, at least we've got a little information" Ling Xiu said.

"Yes, right," agreed Liu Huan.

Finally, after quite a while they waited, the food that had been ordered came. Liu Huan who looked bete instantly became cheerful upon seeing so much food.

When Liu Huan and Ling Xiu ate their food, the person sitting opposite them stood up and left from there.

Liu Huan who saw this did not care and continued his food. After a while, their food finally ran out. After sitting for a while longer, the two of them stood up, paid for the food, and left from there.

"So, are you going to the show?" ask Ling Xiu.

"Maybe, yes," Liu Huan replied.

"Then, how do you do it?"

Liu Huan stopped his steps and directed his gaze at a shop board. "With this," he said, pointing to the shop. "Animal shops?"

"That's it, let's go in first," Liu Huan asked.

"What system of ingredients is needed to make a pill," Liu Huan murmured inwardly.

Liu Huan and his friend went into the herbal ingredient store filled with the fragrant aroma of spices. They saw the shopkeeper who was cleaning the storefront and preparing the ingredients for his customers.

"Excuse me, can we buy some materials?" asked Liu Huan politely.

"Yes, of course," replied the shopkeeper kindly. "What materials do you need?"

Liu Huan gave a list of the ingredients needed to make the pill he wanted, which was, and the shopkeeper helped collect the ingredients from store shelves filled with bottles and small bags of herbal ingredients.

"It's complete" said the shopkeeper, showing the basket containing the ingredients. "Is there anything else I can help you with?"

Liu Huan nodded in thanks and paid for the materials.

Arriving outside, Ling Xiu looked at Liu Huan who had never made a pill and became curious.

"Have you ever made a pill?" ask Ling Xiu.

"Look, even though I don't look cute, pill-making is easy" Liu Huan replied with a flat face.

"What time?" ling Xiu asked in disbelief.

Seeing Ling Xiu's incredulous face, Liu Huan felt a bit of emotion. "What's with your face?" tanyakanya.

"Nothing, just not sure what will happen later," Ling Xiu replied observing Liu Huan.

"I told you, I can make pills!" liu Huan.

Along the bustling city streets, the two of them were seen arguing and fighting a little over disagreements. However, from a distance there was someone watching them.

"Is he the one you're referring to?"

someone dressed as a ninja observed them from afar.

"Yes, he's who I mean," replied someone who spoke to him

"Just calm down, everything will be fine. But remember, don't forget the pay," he added.

"Just calm down, if you can beat him then I'll give you everything you ask for"

Hearing the words of his client, the person dressed as a ninja immediately moved quickly from his place.

"Hehe... Who would have thought I would meet someone pill master in this place"
