Just Love Figurant

Just Love Figurant
Chapter 18

Lusi was unable to close his eyes. Last night the woman thought of the many bad possibilities that would happen. Lusi shouldn't have thought about this much. But whatever the power, Lusi is just an ordinary woman with many shortcomings.

Surely the worry in his heart, made him feel that he was at the highest point of difficulty. Imagining being a mother, even when I was so young, made Lusi feel depressed, even before living it.

This morning Renata finds Lusi talking to Shila. Although it looks haggard with puffy eyes, but Lusi still looks beautiful. A simple makeup polish that stuck to her face, helped save her from the nickname pitiful face.

Sometimes Renata wonders, what is the heart of Luci made so strong and strong? even if Renata replaces Susi, Renata believes Renata will not be able to.

"Morning, Lus. You're doing better?" Renata asked softly, looking at Susi with a smile on her lips.

"Yes. Much nicer. At least I'm relieved that Shila's going to school. I don't like being waited on like a bad patient. I want my beautiful sister to stay in school and achieve her goals." Lusi said with a cheerful look. His left hand rubbed his sister's head, giving Shila great hope not to take the school day off.

Since an hour ago, Shila insists on refusing school. The boy had a firm stand to leave school just one day, to take care of his sick sister. It's not that Lusi doesn't like having a sister as good as Shila. It's just that, Lusi wants Shila to be diligent in studying.

"But if I go to school, what? I mean, won't Renata leave Susi alone?" Shila asked innocently. "I'm afraid Lusi feels alone.

Renata laughs crisply at her place, assuming that Shila is cute.

"of course. I might leave your brother. My husband will soon leave for work, I am also free without having to be chased after the obligations of the wife. Take it easy, my husband is a good man who always lets me wait for your brother. So, don't you worry, okay? Learn to think mature. Leaving school is not something that is allowed." Renata looked softly at Shila.

"Well, I'll go home and get dressed. Thank you for giving me the tuition, Renata. I'm picking up my brother." Shila answered.

"of course. Don't forget about school, just go home, Shila. Brother will also be home soon, waiting until the infusion runs out. It won't be long." Lucia said, smiling.

Until then Lusi sees Shila has passed away, leaving Susi who feels guilty for the little girl. Until now, Lusi is still not able to provide happiness for his only sister.

"I've got the address of Marcel's apartment unit, Lusi. We're going there this morning, or what?" Renat asked Lusi, sitting on the chair that was right next to the gurney.

"Yes, the sooner the better. It's just a problem, what if Marcel later refused our arrival? And again, what if I tell Marcel. She'd be in deep shock if she knew I was pregnant." Luci.

"No problem. It's better for him to be in deep shock than for you to suffer alone, Lusi. Listen to me, stop thinking about the happiness of others. It's time you thought about your future. You didn't live with Shila alone after this. You're gonna be a mother." Renata.

For the size of a friendship, of course the bond between Lusi and Renata is very strong. Even after everything that happened, Lusi still could not hate and blame Renata for the calamity that happened to him.

Life is sometimes full of jokes. When we are faced with a situation of choosing between saving a friend, or even plunging a friend, we will be difficult and hurt ourselves if we choose to save a friend. When other people will weed out friends who try to save themselves, but not with Renata. This is where friendship loyalty is tested.

"I didn't expect much from Marcel, Ren. He doesn't love me, it's impossible. Who am I, when compared to him who is the number one person in a big company. I'm self-conscious." Luci makes his point.

"You mean?" Renata asked not understanding.

"Yes, I do have a desire for him to take responsibility for me. But to have the desire to be his wife forever, that's not in me. If Marcel had decided to accept me, to the extent of my son's birth, I wouldn't have sued much less blamed Marcel." Tangled said softly.

"I've predicted all the worst possibilities though. It would be okay if Marcel would look for another woman who is equal to his family. As long as Marcel is willing to take responsibility, that's more than enough for me." Lucia continued.

Renata no longer knows how to win. "Yes, I can't say anything, Lus. Whatever is best for you and my niece-to-be, I will support her. But remember, you can't be selfish later." Renata answered.

"Yes, I know what I have to do. Pray for the best for me and my son. First of all, Shila and my son, they should be happy. Giving them a decent life, I'll work on it from now on." Lusi.

"You know what, Lucia? Last night I heard the news that Marcel was the son of Alex Atmadja's previous wife, not the son of Aridha's mother.". Renata tells Lusi, because he just remembered the news he heard last night.

"I know he has two fathers and two mothers. So I'm not surprised anymore." Lusi smiled slightly, letting Renata be the stupid party, and could only blink his eyes a few times.

"Damn it, you. Why did you just deliver such important news to me, Luci. You're not loyal, my friend." Renata pointed at the softly chuckled arm of Lusi.

"I can't tell a story, because Marcel said, that he's not ready if his identity becomes public consumption. I'm a loyal friend, which is why I choose to shut up for you." Luci replied.

"Whoever Marcel is responsible for you, I'm relieved, Lusi. At least in your pregnancy, you've been looking after." Renata stared fondly at Luci, rubbing the sweet smiling head of Luci.

"Yes, I hope." Lusi. He knows very well how Marcel, Marcel will never do bad things, including leaving responsibility.
