"Melolong~"

"Melolong~"

The coldness pierced fiercely.

Jack bent his body and wrapped his hands around his chest. He fought forward.

The air exhaled from the mouth and nose immediately condensed into a white mist.

The ration pack and the pot of water freed him from hunger and gave him the energy to fight for survival.

The ice underneath was slippery and he might fall to the ground if he didn't notice.

Everything he could see was just a piece of white scenery.

Even the reflection of sunlight made the whitish-colored ice layer dazzling.

He could not feel any warmth but only endless coldness all over his body.

Currently, Haya is very hot and Jack wears a shirt with short sleeves and shorts only when he is caught. But in this ice-cold world, he was no different from those who wore nothing.

"Hold on. I had to hang on..."

He muttered with his lips turning blue to show his determination.

"Amber... Brent..."

He recites the name of the person he loves over and over again because it seems like the only way to bring Jack the will to survive.

The wind is like a knife.

It was devastating in this ice-white world.

Jack walked slowly and struggled to get ahead.

Looking down from a height, he looked like an abandoned ant struggling to survive. He was only as small as a small black dot on this ice-white ground.

Jack doesn't know where to go.

However, he confirmed that Madam Hughes and the Quinn family had no intention of killing him.

But they treated him as trash and left him on this frozen ground. The punishment he might face after that could be more terrifying than death.

If they only wanted to kill him, he was already a corpse.

But, to survive.

Jack is not at all concerned with what Madam Hughes and the Quinn family are planning next.

What he feared the most was that he had frozen and died on this icy land before reaching their plan.

If he survived, there was a chance for him to turn things around.

But if he dies, it will be the end.

He did not care how miserable he lived, because since young, he had depended on his mother to live. But, has he ever been pathetic?

Yep!

He was like a stray dog on the side of the road, walking step by step from darkness to light.

And now, he's back in the dark.

His persistence made him let go of everything and even persevere in any way.

Amber was waiting for him to return for the wedding.

Because of the three years of waiting, he should not have let her down.

His mother was still waiting for him to return and accompany him to old age.

Due to twenty more years of nurturing, he had to accompany her.

The explosion...

Ground vibrates.

There was a rumbling sound in the distance.

Jack suddenly stopped and stood glued to the ground and he narrowed his eyes to look far away while ignoring the dazzling reflection of the ice ground.

Extraordinary ice and snow rushed towards him.

The originally bright sky was colored in plain white.

It was as if it was a ferocious beast escaping from a cage.

"Snow avalanche?!"

Jack's heart was racing. Shit, how could there be an avalanche in such a place?

How could an avalanche occur on this frozen land without this endless accumulation of snow and ice land?

Seeing the roar of snow waves in the distance, Jack seemed to be pressed into the abyss of despair by an invisible hand.

Escaped it?

Of course, he had to escape!

But where could he escape?

Jack did not think much but turned around and ran towards his original direction.

He was like a directionless fly but he did not plan to stop.

He would never wait for death to come.

The explosion...

The ground was shaking more and more strongly.

"I can't die! I have to escape! If I were to be buried in such a cursed place, then it would all be over!"

Jack looked ferocious and his eyes were filled with red blood capillaries.

But, the ground in front of him was already covered in a black shadow.

It was like a big mouth in the darkness that would swallow it.

He knew that incredible shards of ice had reached the sky above him.

Goddamn bum!

Jack smiled bitterly and he was desperate at this moment.

Bumped!

Suddenly, there was the sound of gunfire among the rumbling sounds.

It was even more deafening than the rumbling sound of ice shards.

"The shot? Is there someone in the back?"

Jack's pupils dilated because they couldn't be trusted.

"People in front, stop!"

Suddenly there was a roaring sound through the loudspeaker.

Someone is there!

Jack was happy and relieved.

He immediately turned around and faced the incredible ice shards.

There was someone in the ice and he didn't care about that person's motives. Might as well... This is an arrangement planned by Madam Hughes and the Quinn family.

Even if it is a demon and let him crawl under the devil's feet.

He'll take it.

That's because he can live!

The explosion...

A deafening roar.

Slowly, several large shadows appeared on the snow-white ice.

When the shadow came out, Jack could only clearly see that it was some specially modified snowmobiles.

Or rather call it a snow fortress.

Each of them were nearly two floors and the dark steel plates throughout the vehicle were like armor. The engine with high horsepower pushed the track forward, rolling up the ice debris in the sky.

This gives people a very strong and almost oppressive visual impact.

There are three snow fortresses there!

They line up, producing a visual impact similar to an avalanche.

With a rumbling voice.

The three snow fortresses reduced their speed slowly and when they stopped, they surrounded Jack who was in the middle.

Extraordinary ice debris and a cold wind raged past Jack, causing Jack to fall directly onto the ground with his stiff body.

"Damn, how long has it been? How long has it been since the last person came to this damn place?"

"This is a forgotten land. Finally, there are new prisoners in the land of ice that this world has forgotten."

"Haha... I never dreamed that I would meet new prisoners during the patrol tonight. That group of people didn't even notice us before leaving the new prisoners here and this was a big surprise for us."

...

There were some cheerful sounds coming from the snow fortress inside the ice.

Jack was paralyzed on the ground, his body too stiff and unable to move but his mind was still working.

He quickly sorted out some important information from those cheerful voices.

The prisoner!

A place forgotten by the world!

Tonight!

He was stunned when he found out that he was left on a forgotten land. Is he a prisoner?

He looked up at the sky. There is no bright sun but also no cloud.

Is this... night?

Imminent.

Jack looked at the people who made those cheerful sounds.

The people were sturdy and each one was at least 1.8 meters tall. They walked slowly out of the icy wind.

They were tightly wrapped in thick mattresses made of animal skin like the Eskimos, which made their figures even more stocky.

And everyone is equipped with weapons.

But they come from different races. Some of them had blond hair and blue eyes, dark skin and black eyes and some were the same as Jack.

One of the bearded middle-aged men instantly shook the charge in his hand.

She laughs.

"Dude, since you're the new prisoner, follow us then. Otherwise, I'll shoot you and drag you away."
