"Don't die before you pay off your debt!"
Yuki's clamor rang in Kenan's ears until late at night he could not close his eyes. The short sentence containing the threat was uttered by Yuki before he and two of his friends left Kenan on the bridge.
His smile, his gaze, even the touch of his index finger on Kenan's chest he could still feel until that second. I don't know, there was something rustling in his heart, but not the wind. A strange taste that sent strange waves into his brain.
"G ... Damnit damnit! How will I do it? I'm always nervous when dealing with women." Self-curdling. Kenan rolled to the right and left to shake off the embarrassment and was nervous to meet Yuki tomorrow.
He stopped with a bad breath. Look at the ceiling of the room that is gloomy. It was there that he lived, in a narrow room with only a mattress and a small plastic cabinet.
"Sister!" Suddenly the door to his room opened. The door, made only of thin plywood, almost collapsed because it was supposed to be replaced.
"Kira?" Kenan froze, he sat up when he saw his brother standing with his cry in the doorway.
"Come, baby! It's okay," he said as he spread his arms to welcome his little sister's body.
Kiran ran over and flopped in her brother's arms. Crying becomes more and more while hugging. Kenan rubbed his brother's long hair and kissed the top of his head.
"Here, don't cry!" said win.
"They said Brother died, they said Brother left me alone. They said that my brother would never come back. They're lying, aren't they? They lied .. I know Big Brother is not dead, I'm sure Big Brother will be back. I don't believe them, Brother." Sobbing the sedan the girl spilled her heart.
Kenan closed his eyes, his heart ached hearing that. They wanted Kenan dead. The grip on the fragile body was strengthened. The hair that smelled of shampoo was kissed over and over again.
Kenan took off a hug, rubbed his cheek the sister put away the water that was in his possession. The narrow forehead he kissed, he buried the face of the sister in his chest. He is the only treasure he has. The one he wanted to protect and be happy with all his life.
"They're lying, baby. They always lie, never believe their words. Brother is here with you and will always accompany you, don't cry anymore." Heartache Kenan heard the cry of the sister who was so bitter.
"Sister it's okay, no one can hurt Brother. Want to sleep here?" Kenan took off the clutch, swept back the water. He slightly lowered his head, clearly seeing the face of the younger brother.
Nodding his head in response to Kenan's invitation. On top of that narrow bed, they shared a bed. Kiran hugged the body of the Big Brother she cried almost all day because she heard false news from her cousin.
"You've eaten? If you're hungry you have bread, you can eat it before you go to bed." Kenan tidied his sister's hair which blocked the innocent face when he heard the sound of his stomach ringing.
Kiran nodded while slipping her face in the armpits of the Big Brother. Kenan took her to sit down. Luckily, he always had a stash of bread in his closet.
Kenan took the bread and gave it to Kiran with mineral water. The little mouth started to devour. Just like people who did not find any food, Kiran was so greedy to eat it.
"Didn't you eat anything all day? You look so hungry" asked Kenan when he saw how his sister ate.
He paused his meal, the bread was still on his lips. Both of his cheeks bulged, slowly returning to chewing after nodding his head.
Kenan's breathing sounded heavy. He rubbed the head of the younger brother who went back to devouring the bread in his hand. Both are always like that, sometimes Bibi does not give him any food if Kenan does not give him money.
"Mmm .. Does Brother not want his bread? We can divide it, it's big" said the brother, bringing the bread closer to Kenan's mouth. The head of the teenager shook his head, his lips forming a smile. Smiles of fortitude and rigor in their difficult lives.
"Son't eaten it, it's .. The container is still there." He pointed at the corner of the room with his chin. There, he found a plastic wrap that was exactly the same as in his sister's hand.
Kiran nodded and continued eating. A loud noise rang out outside Kenan's room. The quarrel between Uncle and Aunt always happened. They are always worrying about the same thing every day. Money and money, and the victims are Kenan and Kiran.
"Sleep! It's night, tomorrow we have to go to school." Kenan helped his brother to break down, he lay down beside him. Hugging each other, giving each other a sense of comfort in each other's hearts. To whom else Kiran will take refuge, other than herself.
"Kiran is still very small, Mona. He's still in elementary school, you shouldn't have told him to make money. Didn't Kenan always give you money from his work, why do you still want Kiran to work?" Uncle's voice defended. Understandably, Kenan and Kiran are the children of his older brother.
Uncle felt responsible for the lives of his two nephews.
"Keep you defending your useless niece. He's just a trash who usually makes it hard, our lives are already hard. With them in this house, more and more expenditure is available. I'm sick of them." Aunt's high voice echoed.
Kenan who had not fallen asleep felt furious himself. They forget that the house they currently occupy is a relic of Mother Kenan. The store they manage is also owned by Kenan's mother.
"Dad ... What's Dad's face like? Why don't you have a picture of Dad on one sheet?" mumbling slowly. He glanced at Kiran who had fallen asleep.
Kenan moved, out of the room to mediate the commotion that occurred.
"Uncle, Auntie, it's late. Shame on the neighbors who hear. For money matters, I will look for it even more. Please, let Kiran go to school. It's enough that I'm looking for money" asked Kenan in a soft voice.
"Penchant, you're not per-"
"Good then, get a lot of money if you don't want your sister I'm asking for money." His hand was pointing at Kenan's nose fiercely.
She turned to her husband, raising a sharp gaze that struck the heart of the man before leaving.
Uncle approached Kenan, nothing he said. Just clap twice on the shoulder before he leaves Kenan alone. Uncle always did.
Hup!
Kenan's hand caught precisely the thing that was drifting towards him. A ceramic ashtray thrown by his own cousin. The young man's eyes widened as Kenan managed to catch the ashtray he threw. Not like that! The ashtray should have hit his head and fallen, then disintegrated. As usual it always managed to provoke his mother to scold Kenan.
He was stunned to see Kenan's sharp and menacing glances. Squeezing the ashtray until it melts into ash. The glint of light from his eyes pierced the bead seeds of Roni, his cousin.
Give him pain like a poisoned needle. Kenan turned around and left his cousin whimpering in pain. The ashes of the ashtrays he was squeezing were scattered on the floor, he did not care. It was a small warning from him to Roni who was always annoying.
"Bad! Why are my eyes suddenly hurting like this? What did that trash do to me?" grunt while rubbing the eyes that still feel sore.
He felt the wall looking for a sink intent on washing his eyes. Many times he washed, until the pain gradually disappeared.
"Damn! What did he give my eyes? Why is it so red?" He cursed. In fact, Kenan did not come close to him at all. How could he sow something in his eyes.
Slightly swells in the petals plus a white color that turns red. Make it like a predator at night.
"Aragh!" He slammed his fist into the mirror, "aw!" Whimpering himself as he felt the pain radiating in the joints of his hands. Furious at the mirror, he turned and went into his room.
Just like Kenan, who lay down on the floor because his mattress is controlled by his sister. The mattress is enough for just one person.
"Sister won't let them trouble you. Brother just wants you to keep learning and become a successful person later on." He kissed the sister's forehead before completely lying down and closing his eyes.
