01 Prologue
In the year 2040 appeared the first game VR MMORPG graphics like in the world yata.

Created by companies that are well known for their work in the medical and defense industries and sponsored by the government, this game instantly became famous all over the world. Five million people signed up, fighting over ten thousand slots allowed for beta testing. So majestic, so enchanting is the newly revealed world, that people wonder if this is not actually an interdimensional journey.
Applicants are selected based on age, gender, character, occupation, education, health, criminal history, and other factors. And for the ten thousand lucky ones, who were waiting for them was the world they had wiped out: Yggdrasia. To increase the stakes, the game features a death penalty: lowering magic power, 10% statistical decline, and dropping inventory items. If the player does not set a respawn point, they will be revived in a random location near their previous death. If the player dies again without raising their stats back, their character will be removed. Pain is simulated, but only by 10%. Players will still feel the shock of being hit even if they lower their pain settings to a minimum.
Criminal activity will be punished according to the law of the local country, with a prison sentence as one of the possible penalties. Players can fight each other, but if they are caught by law enforcement (in the case of murder instead of a duel of likes) and receive a long enough punishment, their account will be deleted. Playing as a criminal is allowed, but if you are on the wanted list, your activity will be severely restricted. The speed of time in the game is almost the same as the real time. Considering the size of the world itself, each area of the game has its own time zone.
