For Amara

"Oeeek."

"Oeeek."

Amman was awake at night, when he heard the sound of a baby crying. He was staying at Vera's apartment.

"Oeeek."

"Oeeek."

Amman wanted to wake Vera up, but she slept very well, as a result of a long day taking care of Amara.

"Oeeek."

"Oeeek."

The baby continued to cry, until Amman was forced to move and visit his room.

"Hey girl, what's the matter. Are you hungry?" ask her while reaching for the baby. But Amara was still crying in her arms.

Amman puts Amara back in the box, then tries to open her diaper. Because he had seen Vera do it, after he came home from the hospital. When hospitalized, all are handled by nurses. So Amman never saw anything like that.

"Oeeek."

"Oeeek."

As Amara cried, Amman found the baby's diaper full. He took it off and looked for a new diaper. It just so happened that Vera put the diaper down, not far from Amara's bed. So Amman could easily find him.

The man took one of the diapers. Now he noticed, where the front and also the back.

"Oeeek."

"Oeeek."

"Hey girl, you can't be quiet for a second. Papa is confused that you keep crying."

Amara slightly eased up, but her tears were still flowing. Amman tried to put a baby diaper on her, but she remembered. If Vera cleans the dirt first, before putting on a new diaper.

Amman took a breath, then released the diaper that was almost attached. He's now dizzy looking for wet tissue. At least that's what he's seen, when Vera cleans up their son.

"God."

Amara wanted to start crying again.

"Can you stop for a moment?. Pelase, don't cry."

Amman began looking for a wet tissue and fortunately met, he then cleaned the child and put on a new diaper. Amara cries again, Amman thinks the baby may be hungry. He then went to the refrigerator and took the ASI that had been stored by Vera.

Time passed, Vera then woke up and did not find Amman next to her. Maybe in the toilet, Vera thought. He then grabbed the tablet on the side of the bed, and tried to check his son through the camera he connected to the tablet.

And how surprised Vera was, when she found Amman sitting in a chair breastfeeding their child with a bottle. Soon the woman moved, then visited Amara's room.

Vera's heart melted instantly, as it turned out Amman was asleep holding Amara in her hand. The breast milk he gave was exhausted, Amara was also as asleep as her father.

Vera's tears spread in her eyes, but she smiled and took a cell phone and captured the moment. He also sent it to Amanda.

Amanda, who happened to have not slept, even saw the picture, she smiled very thinly. But even so, he was grateful for the fate of Amara unlike himself, Nino or Rani.

***

"Nino doesn't want to."

Nino said to Ryan while throwing her eyes to the left side. He had turned his face away since this conversation took place.

"The romance is innocent, Nino. He's your brother, just like Amanda and Rani." Ryan is still trying to persuade his son.

"Nino doesn't hate the baby, Nino just doesn't want to. When you get there, there's him."

"Amman means?" ask Ryan.

Nino still looked away, but this time she did not answer. Amanda, who had been silent since then, began to approach Nino. He deliberately came to take Nino to meet Amara. Because when Amara was born, Nino was already hunted brought Ryan home and he fell ill.

Now his brother is cured, and Amanda thinks it's time to take Nino to meet Amara. All of you deliver the birth gift, to their youngest brother.

"Nin, that Vera doesn't live with papa. He's under daddy's apartment, one building but different floors. Papa's at his house, at the Bougenville Estate."

Nino is still tight-lipped.

"Yes, if you don't want to. I'm going alone." said Amanda.

The woman moved and said goodbye to Ryan.

"Dad, Amanda go first."

"Have you been careful, did you drive yourself?" ask Ryan.

"Yes." replied Amanda.

Nino sighed and went along.

"Yes, it's the same here as me." he said in a slightly riled up tone.

"Really?" ask Amanda.

"Yes." Yeah."

Nino grabs the keys to Amanda's car, and moves to the front door.

"You want dad, but that's the way it is" Amanda said, laughing.

Ryan smiled.

"That nino, it's always been like a child. Because he lost his entire childhood."

Amanda looked at Ryan.

"Thank you for loving my brother, dad."

"And thank you for loving my son."

Amanda and Ryan both smiled

"Be careful."

"Bye, dad."

"Bye Amanda."

Amanda catches up with Nino in the car, and they drive to Vera's house. Upon arriving there, the two of them were welcomed by the woman. He is very happy with Amanda and Nino.

"Now, it's Amara."

Vera takes her child out and hands it to Nino, as Amanda herself has seen the baby many times. It was Nino who had never seen him at all.

Nino welcomes the baby and holds him, but is confused.

"Amanda, is this the baby going to be flanked?" she told Amanda.

"Pepigment, Nin. Swab eggs, flour again."

Nino frowned while looking at Amanda.

"Krispi's Chick?" tanyanya.

Amanda held a laugh.

"It's nothing, Nino. Just pick it up."

"Yes I'm confused if this small, as big as Azka and Afka will be nice to carry. Not scared."

Amanda laughs.

"It's important that you don't do it" Amanda said.

"Drink first."

Vera provides two glasses of cold drinks on Amanda and also Nino, here are some small meals.

"Who's romance in the car is that?. Holding Nino's sister, huh?" ask Vera about her daughter. The baby just stared while blinking. He then looked back at Nino, while Nino now had a small smile on her.

They also talked for a while. Chat is dominated by topics around parenting and how to take care of the baby. Nino was more silent while watching Amara.

Before long the baby fell asleep, he was taken to the room by Vera. Amanda and Nino felt their visit had been enough. Gifts in the form of stroller and some other baby equipment, have been given Amanda since their first arrival. Both are ready to go home.

"Let's play here again." said Vera.

Amanda nodded.

"If the children are not fussy anymore" he said later. They are now moving towards the door.

"Braak."

Suddenly the door opened. Amanda and Nino are shocked by Amman's presence, and vice versa. Amman did not expect to meet his two children there, especially Nino.

"Nil." Amman said unconsciously.

But Nino only looked at him for a moment, then passed by.

"We're home" Amanda said, giving a look to Vera and Amman for a moment. Then he went after Nino, heading towards the elevator.

"Would you like a drink?" ask Vera to Amman.

The man nodded, Vera immediately went to the back. But Amman now wipes away her tears, unbeknownst to Vera. While in the car, Nino's face changed. He looks lethargic and also upset. He started the engine without speaking a word. Then the car began to creep away from the parking lot of the apartment.

"Nin, are you angry?" ask Amanda.

"Nino didn't answer."

"Nin, I don't know if he's coming. You think I'm a fortune teller, you know when he's coming."

Nino stopped her car on the shoulder of the road.

"Hhhh."

Nino sighed, Both of her eyes were down on the steering wheel.

"I don't want to see him." he said later.

This time it was Amanda who sighed.

"I'm sorry, I really didn't know and didn't think he was coming."

Nino was silent.

"Mrs."

"Because of him I was born, and because of him also I was banished by my mother. Because I'm not wanted."

Again Amanda sighed.

"I know you have suffered for years, maybe even the wound is still kept until now. I'm sorry for what you went through, when you used to live with your foster parents. But I suffer the same, Nin."

"You still have a mother who loves you, just like Rani. But my mom threw me out."

Amanda nodded.

"Yes, I'm luckier than you at that. But I also need a father, who in all my life he never existed. I do have a mother who loves me, but my mother was hurt in front of my own eyes by her. Rani must also listen and be forced to understand her mother's mental state for years. Each of us has our own pain. Maybe your birth mother rejected you, but did you forget. You have her late mother Ansel and daddy, who loves you wholeheartedly."

This time Nino looked at Amanda.

"Everything has been replaced through the two of them, Nin. What you did not get for at least 17 years of your life at that time, was replaced by them until now. Is that not enough."

Nino flinched and still looked at Amanda.

"Daddy loves you like his own son. He can be easily angry with Ansel, but not with you. Maybe even daddy loves you more than Arka or Ansel."

Amanda grabbed Nino's hand and grasped it tightly, while her eyes still stared deeply at Nino.

"Life will always feel unfair, but if we are observant to see. All the missing parts of ourselves have been replaced with something bigger. If suppose your life is straight, papa married your mother. They love each other and then give birth to you. Not necessarily the affection they give, can be as big as the affection given by daddy and his wife. We were put where we should be, with different travel stories."

Nino again dropped her gaze down, for a moment she and Amanda were silent in silence.
