Love Is Rain

Love Is Rain
Chapter 39. Barra my son!

Hearing Keenan's words, Bie seemed to get more nervous. His heart was racing faster. It's not ready if today Keenan knows the truth about all this.

"Where's your son, Bie?" Keenan repeated his question.

"Who said I had children?"

"Your sister's in the parlor. Bie, you can't dodge and lie anymore."

"Yes, I have a child. Wh why? A married woman will have children."

"You're married."

"Yes, why?"

Keenan let go of his support. He looked at Bie's face carefully.

"You lied ...."

"Why should I lie? If I wasn't married, how could I have a child?"

"He's my son, Bie."

"What are you saying is that it's your son."

"Bie, if I knew you were lying. I will never forgive you. I will separate you forever from the boy. Like you have hidden this truth from me. You can choose, be honest or lie."

Keenan walked away leaving Bie alone. Before he could go far he turned.

"I'll find out the truth. I'm gonna do a DNA test. If it's proven to be my son, I'll charge you with hiding the child's origin. I can do anything to you, Bie."

Just a few steps Keenan walked, there was the sound of the sobs of Bie. He sits on the floor.

"Don't take my son, you can do anything. Don't separate me and Barra" sobs Bie.

Keenan stopped the move. He saw Bie pulling his hair like a frightened man. Keenan approached Bie and held onto both of the woman's shoulders.

"Bie, what's wrong with you?" said Keenan anxious to see such a Bie.

"Don't take my son. I beg. Don't separate me from Barra."

Keenan takes Bie into his arms and tries to calm Bie down.

"Bie, who wants to take your son. If you're honest, I won't do anything."

"Barra's mine. He is the only one who has made me strong to this day. Don't be cruel to me, Keen. I have no one but Barra."

"Barra my son?"

"Keen, you can have a child from Cath. Barra. Barra my son."

"You can't just blame Bie. You should introspect yourself" said Dimas who had not appeared since when.

"Dim, where's Barra?" said Bie slowly.

"Barra is here" Dimas pointed to the stroller.

Keen stood up and approached the baby carriage. Barra was smiling towards Keen. Keen's tears dripped from the corner of his eye. He held Barra's little finger.

"Mara ...."

Bie standing in aid Dimas. He pulls Barra's baby carriage and picks up Barra. Bie held Barra tightly.

"What do you want? Don't take Barra," said Bie, watching Keenan approach. Dimas stood in front of Bie, protecting him behind his back.

"Why? Are you afraid to separate from your child? Did you never think that you were in my position? Your son is hidden from you. Just imagined you were claustrophobic and frightened. How do I feel now?"

"You can't blame, Bie."

"Why can't I blame, Bie. What if you were in my position. What can you accept if the truth about your son is hidden."

"But Bie never wanted to hide any of that from you. As she's about to tell the truth if she's pregnant with your child, Bie gets word that you're getting engaged to Cath."

"That's no excuse. If Bie tells all this truth, I'm definitely not going to make that engagement."

"You might be able to call off the engagement. What about your parents and Cath's parents. Can he accept all this. Will your parents be able to accept me? They will blame me. I must have been considered to have ruined your future. I must have thought to have set you up on purpose so you would marry me" Bie said.

"Why can you conclude that?"

"I am poor and have no brothers. My origin is unknown. Which old man wants to make me a son-in-law? You never feel poor. Often looked at one eye. Considered benalu. Considered a living. I have felt how bitter and harsh life is from childhood. I have nothing but my pride. I don't want your parents to look down on me and step on my pride. I'd better step back than I'll feel all that." Bie held onto his chest which felt tight. He finally told her all the truth.

"You never think about me a little. You're a selfish Bie. You only think about your pride. What about my pride? You have thrown away my pride. You are asking me to accept Cath. You always rejected me. You never appreciated my love. Don't you know, if I don't have any more price in Cath's eyes. He deliberately asked his parents to match me and him. I feel like I've been bought by his family by giving shares to my family. It all started with you, Bie. If you hadn't asked me to accept Cath, she would never have wished for my love."

Bie was silent at Keenan's words. He never thought that Keenan had been hurt as much as he was.
