Madelin Tough Women
1. Mother-in-law Pressure

Sam sat on the chair of his sadness that he often wore when he had to face a very painful problem. This time the problem was very heavy. The company he had built for many years had fallen into disrepair. His wealth disappeared quickly. Everything he had was now just a small room and Madelin was so loyal to accompany him.

No one knows that wealth can simply disappear like a dead man. Business is always demanding, even when someone already feels successful. Sam is constantly working hard and keeping his business healthy.

But as he began to feel a slump, he became entangled and could not get out of the situation he created himself. Small problems begin to spiral out of control and so quickly swell into big problems. Every small problem that could originally be overcome immediately became a big problem and was increasingly detached from his control.

Sam comes to the conclusion that everything he has built means nothing and even his identity as a loving and gentle husband has turned out to be a rude and inconsiderate one.

He even realized that his behavior had turned violent towards Madelin.

Everything I have built has gone to waste, even my nature has turned violent to my own wife.

Sam glanced at the table, and there was a sharp little scissors. Seeing this thing, Sam's bad thoughts become called.

"Do I have to do it?" muttered Sam whose mind was in turmoil. Without realizing it, his hand moved on its own and grabbed the sharp little thing.

But once the scissors, almost penetrated the surface of his skin, Sam was surprised to find the scissors had been taken for granted.

"What are you doing?!" Madelin quickly seized the scissors. Luckily, Madelin quickly arrives and prevents Sam from doing anything.

Sam was silent. But clearly from the chaotic look on his face, it was more than enough to give his answer.

"Sam .. I know, you're devastated. But that doesn't mean that by hurting yourself, all problems will be solved. If you run away from your troubles, there will only be a thousand regrets that will make you even die in a cursed state." Madelin was filled with emotion, she was completely inexhaustible with Sam, her husband.

"I'm sorry, Madelin" he said. He then looked at Madelin for a moment, before finally getting up and leaving Madelin, out of nowhere.

Madelin himself just looked at Sam with a sad look. She was really worried about her husband.

God help us, he said in his heart. Madelin hoped God would hear her prayers and release their family from all the problems they face today.

In the midst of his thoughts that were huddling, suddenly Madelin's smart phone rang. Madelin quickly opened her smartphone, then raised the call from a figure named Mother-in-law who was visible from her smartphone.

"Hello, Mom, how are you? What's up, call me, Mom?" greet Madelin politely. Lady Lily is Madelin's mother-in-law and is Sam's stepmother. The woman who is famous for her haughty style, often acts indifferently, to Madelin her own daughter-in-law.

Madelin was upset and saddened by Lady Lily's words. But he still tries to be patient. "I'm sorry, if I'm late in answering Mom's call, there's some business I need to get done before, ma'am."

"There's nothing you need to finish anymore, Madelin. Sam is already poor, are you not aware of your current situation? You don't even have a house anymore, and you have almost nothing." Mrs Lily was wailing.

Hearing Lady Lily's words, Madelin grew increasingly upset and disappointed. However, he did not want to fight. Instead, he chose to give a polite answer and tried to remain calm.

"Thank you for your concern, but now I'm trying to solve all the problems. I believe God will give the best way out for Sam and me" Madelin said.

Madam Lily was silent for a moment hearing Madelin's reply. But he didn't just give up. "How can you be so sure of your current situation? Sam's been poor and all his property's gone, you don't have a job, and you're lost. We, as a family, want to help you. And Sam will definitely understand and accept the help of his family. Remember Madelin, I'm his mother!" firmly Mrs Lily.

Hearing this, Madelin was convinced that Miss Lily, just wanted to look for face and pretend to care. To be honest he did it just so that, he was looked upon well. Madelin, realizing this, did not want to rely on Sam's family and chose to remain independent.

"Thank you for your offer of help, ma'am. But I want to try to solve all these problems without relying on Mom. I'm sure, with effort and hard work, Sam and I will be able to rise up and show a better life" Madelin said politely.

Lady Lily tried to suppress Madelin with some arguments. However, Madelin kept trying to be patient and reassured him that he did not want to make himself continue to depend on Sam's family.

"Basar brazen daughter-in-law. What can you do? Not aware, you are with the circumstances that befell your family. Don't you have a brain, and you're gonna keep Sam alive?" press Lady Lily.

Madelin took a deep breath before replying, "Mother, I understand your concerns very well. However, I believe that I can find a way to help Sam get out of this situation. I don't want to continue to depend on Mom's family because I want to be independent and proud of the abilities I can work towards" Madelin replied wisely.

Lady Lily sounded puffed up softly, "But how? What can you do?" Lady Lily deliberately doubted Madelin.

Madelin tried to be patient while keeping her voice calm. "I will look for a better way and will continue to try to find opportunities while still prioritizing Sam" Madelin said firmly.

Lady Lily paused for a moment, then she said, "Alright, I'll give you a chance to prove yourself. But, remember to prove all your words in no time at all, if you can't prove anything, then you should accept my help and let Sam go back to his house, then divorce you!" threatening Madam.

Madelin bit her lips, she felt restless but it seemed like Lady Lily, not messing with her words, even so she could not show her vulnerable side to the woman, "Thank you, Lady Lily. I'll try my best."

Without lingering, Lady Lily immediately severed the connection unilaterally. In fact, when Madelin was about to say his greetings, he had already first turned off his call. The 50-year-old woman looked very angry and irritated.

"What the fuck is he .. how great is his way of speaking as if he can make his words come true," the woman scolded.
