Marrying a Blind Man

Kana ran down the hospital hallway. His feelings are so indescribable, how he feels claustrophobic and delusions about bad things continue to follow him.

Kana opened the door and for a moment looked at Krishan lying down with an oxygen hose on his nose. Kana's cheeks were wet, tears could not stop flowing especially now she saw her husband with many cuts on his face and hands. What broke Cana's heart, then, was the bandage that covered her husband's eyes.

Kana sat next to Krishan's bed. This guy is not yet human. What if he finds out his eyes are in trouble again? Kana could not imagine how broken Krishan's heart was. Kana clasped the hand that was scratched a lot of glass shrapnel wounds. She kept crying, her feelings were devastated. They had a difficult journey already. But it doesn't seem to be over yet. Now, Krishan had to accept again the harsh reality that he thought was over.

"Miss Kana, can I talk to you for a second?"

Kana looked back, where the doctors, Sean, Daniel, and David were standing not far from her. Kana who was very curious about the condition of Krishan immediately got up and followed the doctor to his room. Kana sat in front of the doctor and the others stood near her.

"Miss, I'm sorry if I had to frankly tell you this." The doctor glanced at Sean for a moment then continued his explanation.

"Actually, master Yohan's vision has not been so recovered 100%. Mr. Yohan has to take medicine and do eye drops to really get good eyesight. Unfortunately, master Yohan did not do that. He rarely takes medicine and almost never does eye drops. I also warned Mr. Yohan to wear glasses to avoid dust or dirt entering the eye. But, since the first bandage was opened, mister Yohan had already left without caring for his eyes."

Kana immediately looked at Sean, asking for an explanation to the man who always accompanied her husband.

"I'm sorry, Miss. Mr. Yohan forbade me to tell you that."

"This accident resulted in a shard of glass entering the eye, as well as a violent impact on Mr. Yohan's head made the layers of his eyes deteriorate."

Kana sobbed, she looked down deep. Kana blames herself. On the first day Krishan saw, he wasn't even there. Krishan looked for her without thinking about the health of his own eyes.

"Then..is he...blind again?" Tanya Kana in the middle of her stuffing.

"I don't know for sure, Miss. We can tell after Mr. Yohan wakes up. But when viewed from the condition, the cornea of Mr. Yohan's eye suffered fatal damage. If only from the beginning Lord Yohan really took care of the health of his eyes, this kind of impact would not result in fatal damage."

"Are you blaming Yohan?" Daniel said grimly.

"I'm sorry, sir." Reply with a down.

Kana wiped away the tears that ran down her cheeks. As much as he heard all this, Krishan must have been much worse off. His job now is to take care of Krishan. Kana promises in her heart to stay by the man's side so that he does not go down because of his condition.

After hearing all the doctor's explanations, it was Kana's turn to hear the story from Sean, how the accident could have happened.

According to the dashboard footage of the car that Krishan was driving, several motorcycles followed him about a kilometer from his jewelry store. The motors threw a fairly large stone into the windshield. Sean predicted that their target was indeed causing Krishan's eyes trouble again.

Hearing that, Cana could not hold back tears. He sat down limply imagining how devastated Krishan would be.

"Do you know who did it?"

Sean shook his head slowly, regretting and disappointed that they had not yet discovered who was behind all this.

"Arex, who else?" Tukas David's.

"I think so too. You remember, he still has a little brother hanging around here." Keep Daniel.

"First of all, we really don't have any leads on his sister."

"Why is that?" Tanya Kana was curious.

"Arex didn't register his siblings. There's no information whatsoever about who Arex's sister is because in the country, Arex is listed as an only child." Obviously David.

"I'm sure Arex registered the identity of his sister in someone else's family." So Daniel again.

Kana lowered her head, if their classmates alone could not get any info, let alone her. In fact, Kana has been determined to help find out who is behind all this.

"Miss, you better go to Mr. Yohan's room." Sean's Advice.

Just as Kana was sitting down, Krishan's hand moved and he seemed to have regained consciousness. His head was also tilted to the left right, as he realized that something was wrong in his sense of sight.

"Krish.." Kana got up from her seat, she clasped the hand of the restless man.

Krishan opened the oxygen hose that covered his nose. He sat down and touched the bandaged area of his eyes. Seeing that, Kana started to panic and get anxious.

"Why my eyes?"

"Krish, calm down, yeah." Kana sat down and tried to hold onto Krishan's hand. The man took off Kana's hand and continued to feel the bandage in his eyes.

"Jia, what is this?" Krishan's voice was heavy, like holding back the emotions within him.

"Krish, just calm down for a second." Kana hugged Krishan and rubbed the man's back. "Krish, tell me. What are you feeling? Do your eyes hurt?"

Kana took off her embrace as Krishan started to not budge. It seems like he has realized something.

"Krish.."

"My eyes ache and throb a little." He answered with a face down. He heard a raucous tone from his wife's voice and he knew very well what was happening to him.

"Oh, yeah." Cana shed tears. He removed it quickly. Already caught, he couldn't make his voice sound okay.

"We're going home tonight, baby. I'll keep it next to you. You should know that. Yea?" He said as he continued to gently stroke Krishan's cheek.

The man did not answer. He just felt, the sharpness of hearing now began to increase again.

"Joe.."

"Yes, baby." Kana voice raucous. He really can't hide it anymore.

"Can you come out for a second?"

Kana. Why did Krishan ask her to come out?

"Can't you?" Petunya again.

Kana who was beginning to understand just nodded. He wiped away his tears that did not stop flowing. Krishan said nothing about his vision because he was quite aware of it. But Krishan's treatment frightened Kana.

Kana kissed long time head of Krishan. She could not bear the crying, she knew the fragility of Krishan at this time and she could do nothing.

"I'm going out. Please call me immediately." Kana said and then stepped out. He closed the door and was still leaning there.

"YAAAKH!! PRANGS!!"

Kana hears Krishan screaming and dropping things like a depressed person. He's venting his emotions in there and doesn't want Kana to see it. He was devastated by the fact that he thought it was over.

Krishan could not imagine how he could live the days again when his heart had blossomed beautifully with his wife. To live the day very happily. How grateful he was for his perfect life a few hours ago. But now he has to live the day as before. No, it's even worse. As his eyes could see, Krishan began to reorganize his life again. He built new hopes and dreams and now they're all falling apart.

Kana can't hold her shit. Krishan's tantrums with the things he slammed were still heard from within. He cried a mouthful of heartbreak at the sight of such Krishan.

David, Daniel, and Sean just stood there listening to the commotion from inside Krishan's room.

Cana could not bear to see the man she loved so much, who always spoiled her, had to experience something bitter like this again. He's gonna do something. He stood facing Sean.

"My eyes are on Felix." He said and went out of the hospital.
