Marrying a Blind Man

Marrying a Blind Man
a little hope

Chris seemed to think. He stared blankly in front of him. "Eitherway. I forget. I could be wrong for hearing too much."

"....but, Adam? I have heard his voice before."

DEG!

Kana clenched her hand tightly. Really, Adam, the only voice that Krishan had never heard before.

"You..heard that voice, where?" Kana asked with a slightly trembling tone. He was holding himself back from the turbulent emotions.

"Perhaps before the accident." Krishan shook his head. "I don't remember, Jia. Why why?"

Kana bit her lip. Before the accident, he said? Ah, just a little more, she could definitely catch the person who had harmed her husband. Kana regulated her breathing and calmed down before making a sound. He didn't want Krishan to suspect anything.

"No, I'm just asking."

Krishan nodded slowly. "Go, accompany your friends." Krishan said and laid his body on the back of the sofa.

"If there's something you want, just call me."

Kana comes out of the room and finds Bastian standing not far from her. His gaze rose to stare at the picture frame hanging on the white wall.

"Bas?"

Bastian immediately turned his head, he looked a bit awkward after being caught paying attention to the wedding photo of Kana and Krishan there.

"Ah, I. see your wedding photo." He said a little stiff.

Kana smiled widely and stood up to look at her picture.

"We got married simply and didn't invite anyone. Just Alana."

Bastian nodded slowly, then his head turned to the direction where Alana and Adam were joking.

Kana also noticed, she saw a sad look on Bastian's face.

"Alana's in love, apparently."

Bastian turned to Kana who seemed to know what he was thinking.

"What's wrong. He's already apologizing to me." Bastian.

"I'll apologize to him too." Kana then heard a sigh coming from her mouth.

"That's better. I hope he doesn't do it again after this." Bastian continued and got a nod from Kana.

"Come on, we'll have lunch." Take Kana to Bastian. He walked over to Alana and Adam, and took them to sit on the table where many dishes were available.

"Well, it looks good." Alana started filling the food on her plate. So did the others.

Alana and Adam looked like normal. Different from Bastian and Kana who look at each other.

Kana is actually very reluctant to start, apologizing to Adam whose suspicions are increasing after hearing Krishan's words.

"Ehm.." Kana started the conversation.

"Adam, I'm sorry. I've accused you of not-no."

Adam put down his fork and knife, listening to Kana's seemingly unfinished sentence.

"I'm accusing you without proof. And all just misunderstood. I'm sure you're not that kind of person." Kana was shaking her legs under the sign that she just wanted this conversation to be over quickly.

"Yes. I-i understand. I'm also sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable." The drill.

Kana nodded and a wide smile was engraved on Alana's face.

"So, dong. You two are closest to me. So don't be hostile to each other. I don't like." Follow Alana who immediately raised her hand with a glass of red wine.

"Let's toast."

They all greeted Alana with the clink of a glass. The atmosphere was still a bit awkward even though Alana and Adam were very ordinary.

Kana stared at the interaction of the two people. Alana and Adam continue to laugh at something that in Cana's ear is not very funny. He continued to watch the two closely while turning the wine in his glass.

Kana took a sip of her wine and found Bastian also watching the two men from his glass.

Kana lowered the glass, looked at Bastian who then turned to him. Bastian smiled slightly then gulped down his wine. Bastian, does he like Alana and feel jealous right now? Ah, I don't know. This atmosphere is very strange. The event that was supposed to be enlivened by four people, was only filled by those two people.

He put the fruit in his mouth. What if Alana knew who Adam really was. Would she beg and cry to Kana while apologizing? I don't know. Kana just wondered what the future would be like while hoping that it would not happen, so that Alana would not hurt.

The smell of wine made Kana's mood better than when she saw Alana and Adam like that. There was jealousy and sadness at that familiarity. Alana prefers Adam to her.

Alana, her best friend from a long time ago, now prefers the Adam she just met. Alana refused to forgive him until he apologized to Adam. Really annoyed.

Kana's eyes rose to look up, where the hidden camera was there. From there, he would see strange movements that might not be captured by Kana's eyes directly.

"Miss.."

Sean came to break Kana's daydream.

"Today Mr. Krishan had to come to the hospital for a routine checkup."

"really? All right, I'll be ready."

Kana carefully opens the room door and finds Krishan asleep on the sofa.

Kana sat down slowly next to him. His eyes could not be separated from Krishan's sad face. Look at the man, while sleeping his face is still sad. Kana felt very sad every time she saw Krishan like this. No more cheerfulness that used to decorate their households. Although Krishan smiled, but Kana did not see it as a real happiness.

"Krish, do I need to give my eyes to you?" For some reason, the murmur just came out of his mouth when his heart felt slashed if Krishan showed his gray face. Kana is very happy.

He gently stroked Krishan's sturdy jaw. The man in front of him, now it's like he has no real life. He never went out, there were not many requests like he used to, not much to say, eat potluck, really just Krishan who just felt compelled to live life.

"Krish.."

Kana looked at the eyes that were slowly starting to open. Chris looked straight at Kana. The sunlight shining towards them made Krishan's eyes capture Cana's shadow.

Krishan touched Kana's cheek exactly. "They're home?" Krishan's heavy voice sounded.

"It has. Now we have to go to the hospital."

Krishan nodded slowly. Then sit up straight on his body.

"Want me to help you get changed?"

Krishan nodded again, and Kana immediately stood towards Krishan's wardrobe.

"What's up, Jia?"

Kana stopped her activities. He looked at Krishan who had already undressed him.

"Your voice sounds sad." Further again.

Kana smiled thinly. He picked up a shirt and sat down next to Krishan.

"Did something happen?" Ask Chris again.

Kana did not answer directly. He put on Krishan's clothes slowly, buttoning them one by one while continuing to look at Krishan's eyes.

"It's okay, I just love you so much."

Hearing that, Krishan kissed Kana's lips at a glance. "I love you too." The reply while continuing to stare towards Kana.

"Krish.."

"Yes, sweetheart."

"What if it turns out, my eyes can't see next door." Ask Kana suddenly.

"What do you mean, Jia? What's wrong with your eyes?" Krishan felt Kana's eyes that turned out to be watery. He immediately removed it.

"Jia, tell me. What was? What the hell's going on? Do your eyes hurt?" Chris began to panic.

"No, Krish. I'm.." Kana hung up her sentence. He felt he could do nothing. Time and time again he thought of finding a way, still failing. Would if he gave Krishan a shred of hope, Krishan would be able to finish what was a burden to them right now?

"I'm willing to give you what I can give you, if you need it the most."

Krishan frowned. "What do you mean, Jia?"

"I want to give you my eyes."

Krishan froze with his hands still touching Kana's face.

"I saw you just pretending to me, Krish. I feel like I failed, I can't make you the way you used to. You're not happy, are you, Krish." Kana sobbing. He felt that something was on his shoulders. Moreover, Krishan was also greatly changed now, there was no encouragement. Yesterday Kana still felt she could get through it. But looking at Krishan, his heart again felt heavy.

"Joe.." Krishan pulled her in his arms. He clenched tightly to the woman who had already let go of his stuffing on his chest.

"I'm sorry, Jia. Forgive me.." said Krishan who unconsciously drained tears. He does not know, if Kana turns out to realize his slump all this time. Chris was not intentional. Only, he did feel desperate. But he did not think, if it makes his wife want to sacrifice his eyes for him.
