That afternoon Bella pensively looked at the park bench behind her house, looking at Issabell who was playing with Rania and her nanny. Either the decision is correct or it does not accept Rania in their household.
However, seeing the girl's smile, it felt like she was happy. Bella looks like she saw her childhood inside Rania. Back then, when Rania was a child, she had no father either. His mother had to work from morning until night, just coming home.
All day long she was alone with her sister. Each school home is entrusted with a neighbor next to the rented house. Sometimes, he and Rissa could eat, but not infrequently also had to hold back hunger until his mother came home from work.
Such a situation only ended when Bara allowed his mother to bring them to live together. Then things improve. He and Rissa could go to school, without thinking about the delinquent SPP. Not being chased by a rented owner's mother. No longer feel the power outage because you can't pay the bills.
From the back of the chair, there was suddenly a hand that was tightly hugging, dipping the young mother's cheeks at a glance. Then the burly hand turned to caress the belly of the queen.
“What do you think, Bell?” ask Bara. The man is still in his work suit. Deliberately going home sooner because of worry about the condition of the house. This was the first day Rania stayed with them. She was afraid that the girl would ruin everything. Bella is currently pregnant.
She doesn't want anything to happen to her baby. The experience of his best friend, Pram who lost a baby makes Bara more careful when looking after Bella.
“Mas! To my surprise,” grumbled Bella, gently patting Bara's hand that was stroking her stomach.
“What do you think, Bell?” Bara asked back.
“Nothing. It's just that I felt Rania look like me when I was a child,” said Bella, pointing towards Rania who was chasing Issabell while laughing cheerfully.
“Why are you so stubborn now, Bell,” asked Bara, come sit next to Bella.
“So, I myself was astonished by the change in my attitude. Am I so annoying, Mas?” bella asked, looking at her husband and waiting for an answer.
“Sometimes .. yes. Like this morning, completely unwilling to listen to my opinion,” Bara said, put his hands on the back of the chair, occasionally patting gently on his wife's shoulders.
“Mas, answer me honestly. Is there still a taste in your heart for Ms Rania?” bella asked, glancing at her husband with the tip of her eye. Soon her eyes turned back to look at Rania.
Bara instead of answering even chuckled. “Not that we talked about it yesterday. Why repeat again?”
“I'm not satisfied with your answer, Mas.”
“You should know one thing, I love you, Issabell and our wedding.” Bara answered.
Bara sighed, actually lazily discussing the same person. Moreover, the owner of the name is fighting his life in the hospital, fighting his illness.
“After trying to make peace with the past, when reunited .. like there is a sense left behind,” continued Bara.
Silent moment. Bella stared at her husband's cynics, suddenly her heart ached.
“However, the feeling left behind is not love. We were together for a long time, not just for a day or two. Brenda my first love,” continued Bara, along to look at Rania. When you first got to know Brenda, she was probably only a few years older than Rania is today.
“Mas loved him very much first?” ask Bella. The more he asked, the more curious he was, the more his heart also hurt.
“Already, Bell. Why discuss the past.”
“Mas, I want to hear the answer,” whine Bella like a child.
“I don't want to discuss it,” reject Bara.
Bella tears up her eyes. “The rejection of Mas made me understand what the answer was,” snorted Bella upset herself.
“If I answer no, would you believe me, Bell?” Back to asking.
Bella was silent again.
“I used to live my life and live more using feelings. The more I get here, I learn a lot. More use logic.”
“Love may be important, but sanity to keep that commitment is much more important.”
Bella gulps. His heart pinched upon hearing Bara's words. She was only a newcomer to Bara's life, not even given a proper place in her husband's own heart. A tear fell back and Bara saw it for herself.
The test!
“Already, Bell. Let's discuss something else. My past is too horrible. Every time I remember it, I'll cry like you. Time teaches me a lot of things. I don't want to fall in love anymore. I wish a lifetime didn't have to feel love anymore. It is not able if it must be destroyed for a second time,” explained Bara.
Bella tried to hold back the turmoil in her heart. It hurt so much to hear that her husband would never fall in love again, including refusing to fall in love with her.
At the beginning of his marriage, he did not care whether Bara loved him or not. But now, ever since she started feeling something for her husband, it became important. And so it hurts itself when it hears her husband does not love her. When he got married, he knew it clearly. There is no love between them.
“Is it as painful as I feel now? Is this what Bara felt when his ex-wife cheated?” Bella.
“Mas, can I not love you?” ask Bella suddenly.
Emar smile. “Love with logic and sane. When things don't go your way, you won't go crazy and stop enjoying life.”
“I know it will be difficult,” continued Bara.
“Everyone who falls in love, must give all his heart and life for the person he loves. Until we forget we are not the true owners of life and heart. When it was taken back, it was hard to get back up. Not even a few who fail to be grateful for the favor of another God. The only thing remembered is failure because of love.”
“Maybe I'm one of them. If it wasn't for your mother, I'd have killed myself or died silly and sad,” Bara's story, back to glare at her past.
After his divorce from Brenda, his life fell apart. Much more terrible than when still in the status of husband and wife despite the daily fight. He had to leave Jakarta to calm down. In order not to imagine again with a terrible household and forget love and pain betrayed.
He cannot take care of his company. All day long just drink to get drunk and forget about Brenda's betrayal. There was one point, his body was already unable to accept the liquor anymore. The hull churned and vomited. He switched to sleeping pills, until he ended up overdosing. Lucky there was Rosmah's mother. That woman saved him.
Counseled him slowly, until he finally chose the path to a psychiatrist. The presence of Rosmah's mother makes her feel not alone. The figure of the two parents who died from an accident a few years earlier like reappearing.
After she fell into the shadow of her past. Only then did he dare to decide to return to Jakarta, trying to make peace. Maybe her marriage to Bella helped a little. Though in the end, accidentally reunited with a part of his past, during his status as Bella's husband. Even though not living together makes him committed to their household.
“Mas, I'm sorry. Maybe I already love you, Mas,” said Bella slowly, awakening Bara who was wandering with her past.
Bara pecked, unable to answer at all. “Can't open your heart for me?” whispered again. Bella's voice begged.
Hening—
Tears are back. “I've never been in love. So I do not know ... what I feel for you this can be called love,” continued Bella, bowed.
