Marrying the Enemy
Eva's Cajolery

Eva who witnessed the debate between David and Shazia could only remain silent there. His head lowered because he did not want to interfere.

"What do you mean?" shazia asked with a serious facial expression.

"Shazia, I'm sorry for lying to you. But, this is not what I meant. I never thought that you also had a problem with Devid. From the beginning I was suspicious that my twin brother was pronounced dead. My life was very bad at the time. I'm just a shadow that can be underneath."

"I don't like being lied to! What is the evidence that you are twins?" shazia asked still with a face expression of disbelief.

David pulled out his phone. He showed a family photo of him and Devid. Shazia looked at the photo for a while before returning David's phone again.

"Now do you trust me?" david asked with a hopeful facial expression.

"No! Liar men like you can't be trusted," said Shazia, still with an annoyed face.

David took a breath. "alright. I won't force you to trust me either." David looked at Eva. "Eva, please take care of Shazia. I have important business to finish."

"Good, Sir." Eva nodded and looked down.

David looked back at Shazia before leaving. "I'll be back. You better take a break first. Your condition is still very bad. So, don't force yourself to run away from the hospital."

Shazia turned her face away. He did not want to answer David's question because he was still upset with David who had lied to him.

Seeing Shazia turn her face away, made David not want to say anything more. The man stepped away from Shazia's room.

When the door was closed, Eva immediately approached Shazia. The woman wanted to help David persuade Shazia. He did not want Shazia and David to be hostile. For Eva, Shazia and David are a compatible couple.

"Miss, how are you?" Eva massaged Shazia's legs gently. He is also very careful not to touch the injured part.

"I feel like there's something weird about my body, Eva."

"Sir, Miss?" Eva scrunched her forehead. "What's weird, Miss?"

Eva smiled slightly. "Miss, maybe your body is too tired. So, now your body wants you to take frequent breaks. Um, if I may know exactly what causes Miss to often not sleep? Did Miss work the night before she married Mr David?"

Eva's question made Shazia silent. However, in an instant Shazia again smiled so that Eva did not suspect him.

"Yes, you can say that."

Eva nodded slowly. "You're a great woman. You even have martial skills. Did you learn martial arts in order to protect yourself, Miss?"

"Self? What do you mean Eva? What kind of self-defense?" Shazia is convinced that Eva has never seen herself fighting.

"It's true that last night you could easily push Mr. Logan down the stairs. If I were to push it would be me who fell first, Miss," Eva chuckled. "If your body is small, you have a strong energy. I've just seen you holding Mr. David."

Both of Shazia's eyes widened. He was really embarrassed when Eva discussed things about him who had held David like a child.

"Miss, you better excuse Mr. David's mistake. Didn't Mr David explain why he lied to you? All this because he wanted to find evidence that his twin sister was still alive" Eva said in a soft tone.

"Eva, I'm not mad at him. I'm just confused. If what he said was true, then now he was in danger. That guy named Devid isn't a random guy."

Eva smiled at Shazia's reply. "Miss, so you've forgiven Mr David?"

"I just want to work on it. I wonder where he tried to persuade me not to be angry anymore" Shazia replied with a smile.

Eva raised her finger and pointed at Shazia's face. "Miss, you can do it the most. I'm sure, Mr. David will definitely fight hard to get Miss's apology."

Behind the door, David smiles at the conversation between Shazia and Eva. The man walked away from the door with a much calmer heart.

"Shazia, I'll be back. I hope when I get back you're not mad at me anymore. Right now I have to go see Devid. I have to clarify everything. I don't want to live in Devid's shadow like I used to."
