MARVEL: GAME MAKER SYSTEMS

MARVEL: GAME MAKER SYSTEMS
63 – Complete Configuration

Alex doesn't know about Peter and Bruce's conversation, but he doesn't care either.

After having fun with Bee and a good night's sleep, Alex returns to Fortnite development.

If there is one thing Alex knows about Fortnite, it is that the game manages to attract a lot of love from the fans, and is also great at attracting resentment from the players.

This was mainly due to the mechanics of construction during the battle.

As much as this is the difference of the game, Alex knows that for a novice player it is very counterintuitive to build rather than just shoot like in a regular game, and over time, it is very counterintuitive, players who do not adapt to increasingly complex building mechanics begin to get frustrated.

So Alex decided to take a more advanced approach to the game, taking advantage of some ideas he took from other games.

First, he will do Arena mode, which is a mode with buildings activated, and he will also do the No Building mode, which obviously cannot be created by the player, just shoot and make sure they have a good shot.

This is something Fortnite did in the previous world that frustrates many players from rebuilding the game.

Another thing Alex will do is a Ranking system like League of Legends, where there will be Rankings preceded by Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Master, GrandMaster, etc, and Challenger.

This system will be a way to encourage the player's brain to produce more dopamine when their ratings go up.

Behind the Ranked system, Alex will create an MMR system where players will have points that will speed up their rankings, and will pair players with others who have the same level of gameplay.

To set the player's gameplay and MMR levels, Alex must spend 100,000 GPs buying software with AI.

Just like Fortnite's previous world, Alex decides to add Bot to the game, but unlike the previous world, whose Bot is terrible, but, Alex intends for this bot to be a little worse than the MMR on that round, so even the worst player of the game can have fun and feel good about killing someone thinking it is someone else.

With his hand on his chin, Alex thought. "What draws so many players to the Hunger Games in Minecraft is the reward, what can I give in Fortnite?"

Alex tried to think about a few things, but he wanted something that suited his game.

He knew he could not give weapons to players, because it would be too dangerous.

But after a while, Alex had an idea.

"I know this game will be very popular among the military, maybe the Challenger Rank will only be controlled by elite soldiers, while other players will not have a chance to get something good, he said, so I can make two levels of rewards!" Alex was excited when he started coding.

This gift was very useful to everyone, but it was very simple, so Alex decided to say that any player above the Gold Rankings would receive a bandage like this as a gift at the end of the season.

In addition to the bandages, Alex also makes a commemorative robe representing the rank of the person he can use in the following season to exhibit, which is like in Minecraft, it can also be sold for $220 if someone wants to use it in the real world.

As for the prize for the Challenger Rank player, Alex decided to make a better version of the bandage, which was released further, but Alex felt it would fit as a good gift.

It is a green spray can with the "+" icon on the front, which the player can use during the game to recover the wounds on the body, one can is enough to recover 150% from the maximum health of the player, but Alex turns this into that in the real world this is enough to speed up the recovery of the target from the wound, enough to turn the dying person back ready for battle.

Alex knew he could not deter military personnel from playing Fortnite, so he decided to make something useful for them, but also not used as a weapon to kill.

With the prize setup, Alex shifted his focus to setting up build mode, what items could be collected, vehicles, vehicle mechanics, and other things he thought were important.

Fortunately, Alex doesn't need to configure each Skin one at a time, as the System can use its memory to make skins faster, as most skins don't change the mechanics of the game.

Only Reactive Skin had to be configured more carefully by him, but Alex did not care.

In addition to the skin he plans to make, Alex also makes the most interesting point of the trailer, namely Skin Iron Man.

Obviously Alex wouldn't give this skin as a gift to redeem people in the real world, he just made a Skin for the NPCs he set up to go around the map.

Unlike what the players think, Iron Man will not be a villain in the game, but a "hero", that is, if someone kills someone else, Iron Man will go his way, and if he sees that guy he'll shoot.

NPCs are invincible, but it will take a lot of effort to defeat them.

If the players manage to destroy it, the armor will be destroyed and people will find that the armor is empty and Tony is not wearing that armor.

However, they could receive armor boots, which allowed them to fly freely for 60 seconds.

"Tony will be angry because people will hunt him down so they can fly like him." Alex thought excitedly.

He knew that the boots could not fly on their own, and there were many flaws with his idea logically, but he did not care, as this was just a game, the important thing was to attract players.

"It's not like he's gonna find me anytime soon, is he?" Alex chuckles to himself.
