Chapter 63 Separation
Hana talked to Richard. "Sister, it looks like we can't do tube babies in Indonesia because we're not legally married husbands." Hana spoke carefully. He was afraid Richard was disappointed.
"Looks like I should take you abroad. Countries that legalize surrogacy are America, India, Thailand, Ukraine, Russia. Where are you going?"
"I prefer America. I lived there for a while while pregnant with Ren. I can't leave Rin and Ren for too long. If Rei and Rio can I leave it to my in-laws."
"We're taking Rin and Ren. I'll rent two baby sitters."
Hana is actually more afraid of separating from Lucas because of past trauma. But he was ready to do the surrogacy. He had to trust Lucas.
In the afternoon Lucas picked up Hana and Rin in the upstairs room and they went home.
"Tomorrow the hospital?" Rin asked.
"Hmmm .... Hmmm ..." Hana deliberately stalling her answer.
"Yin come along." Rin knew her mother's answer was definitely yes.
"Tomorrow Richard can go home. Rin's in the hospital probably early in the morning." Lucas saw Richard's physical condition had improved.
At home, Rin distributes toys that he can for his brothers and sister.
Hana then gathers her family members in the living room. "Rei, Rio, mama is going through a baby tube program. Mama will probably be in America for a few weeks. You'll have another sister. But mama wants to tell you that your brother's father will not be Lucas's father but Richard's."
"Later Rei's sister?" Rei wants a little sister to make a power puff girl trio.
"Rei's sister will be a boy." Hana could see a slight disappointed look on Rei's face. Rio is the opposite. Rio instead deliberately said, "Ren, we can later make power puff boys."
Ren laughed when he heard Rio's words. It was as if he had already understood Rio's words.
The next day Richard came home from the hospital. He's already hired a lawyer to make a surrogacy agreement. Hana is his acquaintance and he trusts Hana but must remain black on white.
"Hana, this is a surrogacy agreement. Although we're friends but it's better to have black on white." Richard handed over the finished agreement.
"I'll read it with Lucas at home. I'll tell brother again." Hana helps Richard get out of bed. Richard's wheelchair was an automatic wheelchair that, at the push of a button, could walk on its own.
In front of the hospital was a standby car. The car whose door is sliding. Then out the assistive devices for the wheelchair.
Hana and Rin are taken home by Richard. "Bye bye." Rin waved her hand to take Richard away.
While Lucas is at home, Hana exposes the surrogacy agreement. "Is there anything you don't like?" Lucas asked.
"It says Ricky, as soon as Richard's brother names our son, will only stay with me until he's ten. Actually I want my son to be with me as long as he's not married. But I also knew Ricky would be groomed from childhood to inherit his father's hospitality network." Hana doesn't want to part with Ricky.
Ten years is a long time but it will feel short if lived.
