Chapter 7 Consolation

Seeing that Hana's condition is getting worse, Lucas goes to see his parents.

“Daddy ... Mother ... I want to take Hana on vacation without the kids. So, I'm going to take Rei and Rio.”

“How about your job?” Lukman asked. Although he is the owner of the hospital where Lucas works, Lucas still has to be professional.

“I'll take a leave of absence. At least until Hana can I stay.”

Lucas takes Hana to a beach resort. From the information he got from Rei and Rio, Hana likes the beach. While Hana was still in town B, Hana often took Rei, Rio and Ryu to the beach.

Lucas put their suitcases into the room. She could see the beach from her room. The resort that Lucas rented had two rooms. So, they slept in their own rooms.

Lucas takes Hana for a leisurely walk on the beach. But Hana's still daydreaming. He saw the waves running towards the beach. The beach water is very clear in light green. Ryu comes in his dreams.

Hana suddenly woke up. She was crying again. His meeting with Ryu was too short. He wants to see Ryu again. He tries to sleep again but Ryu does not appear again in his dreams.

Lucas invites Hana to see a mini zoo near the resort. There they could see the deer. Feed them.

Lucas also took Hana on a cruise for a moment with the ship. Romantic dinner on board.

As they rested at the resort, suddenly the earth shook. Earthquake occurs. Lucas goes straight to Hana's room and takes her out. The resort they were staying in was heavily damaged. Fortunately, there was no tsunami. Even so, there are dead and injured.

Lucas, who works as a doctor, can't stay silent. He tried to treat the wounded. Emergency tents were quickly built to house survivors. Access to and out of the closed resort. For a while until access can be opened again, they survive with what is there.

Hana helps in the emergency kitchen to provide food for the refugees. Afterwards Hana becomes Lucas' assistant to treat the injured. Resort staff collect food, clothing, blankets and other items that may be useful in refugee tents.

Hana saw Lucas who was so good at treating the sick while giving them words of comfort.

Hana heard Ryu's voice. He looked to the right and left but there was no sign of Ryu.

In the city A ...

Lukman, Lucy, Rei and Rio hear the news of a disaster in the resort area where Hana and Lucas are vacationing. They're anxious. Lukman attempted to call Lucas but his call was never connected. They become more anxious. Of course, because the communication line is also cut since the disaster.

Call from Lucas. ~ Lukman instantly lifts it.

“It's Lucas, Pa.”

“Papa worry. Mama and the children are also worried, even Rei to fall ill.”

“Lucas and Hana are fine, Pa.”

Lukman immediately took his phone to Rei's room.

Lucas brought his phone closer to Hana.

Lucy then brought the porridge for Rei to eat. Rei fell ill from refusing to eat. He cried because he thought his mother and his father were victims.

Rei then ate the porridge from his grandmother's feed. Slowly his condition began to recover.

Access in and out is open. The injured were taken by ambulance to the nearest hospital for further treatment. Fortunately, Lucas was the one who gave first aid. Not too many are victims.

Hana and Lucas looked at each other. Their work in the refugee camp is done. They also had to return to A.

“I'm sorry. I came here to take you on vacation but it was a disaster.”

Hana shook her head.

Lucas blushed to hear Hana's praise. Lucas feels very happy to be praised by Hana, the woman he loves.

Lucas then tried to apply for Hana again “Hana ... I know the time is not right. Do you want to marry me?”

Hana nodded her head. Lucas wanted to scream in pleasure but he held himself back. There are many volunteers around them.

He made a ring from a twig that lay not far from where it was. Pairing it to Hana's ring finger.

“While I only have this. When we return to city A I will buy a nicer one from this.”

“No need to buy new. What you showed me in the restaurant was okay too.”
