(Not) In the Fire

"Assalamu'alaikum..," a greeting from someone made Anelis and Abellard who were sitting on the sofa of the family room turn her head.

"Wa'alaikumussalam.." answered both.

This morning Azuma returned to their residence to work. Azuma, the new cook and aunt of his son-in-law, joined the group. Azuma was a little reluctant, but it was a request from his employer, so he complied.

"What's up, madam?" azuma asked with a polite looking down face, no matter how much the woman was her master.

"Uma, don't call me mistress, again! Because from today you do not need to work for us anymore," said Anelis lirih, but enough to make Azuma look up in surprise.

Seeing Azuma's expression that did not understand his wife's words, Abellard immediately spoke to straighten out so that there was no misunderstanding.

"My wife doesn't mean what you're thinking right now, Azuma" Abellard said as if she knew what was on the woman's mind sitting on the end of the couch. "You're our Kimmy-in-law's family. That means you're part of our family, too. So, how can we hire our own family?" Abellard.

"But I need money for my daughter's school fees, sir, mistress," Azuma said.

Anelis rubbed Azuma's shoulder while smiling. Last night while I was sleeping with Kimmy, the girl told me about her family. Including Azuma who has two young children. This made Anelis think that Azuma would not have to work at home again. But decide something else.

"Yes, we know, Azuma. Your daughter Lexa is going to school this year, isn't she?" tanya Anelis was nodded by the woman. "Kimmy told me about it last night" he added.

"Since you still have two young children and we need a cook like you, we decided what if you just stayed at our house with your sons?" haggar Abellard. "You are not here as a servant, but as our family. And do not call us masters and mistresses, for we are not your master but your family."

Azuma was so moved, they were so kind to him. He rose up and fell at the feet of Anelis. Anelis immediately woke Azuma and hugged her.

Their attention was turned to Kimmy who was whining about wanting a young mango since he was in Barcelona. But Jef has not granted his request. Today he also abandoned his intention to go to the office, and asked Cheryl who handled everything.

"Yes, be patient, yeah! I'm going to look for its fruitful mango tree" Jef said, trying to calm down.

"You want a young mango, Kimmy?" ask Azuma.

Jef and Kimmy who were walking not far from there stopped their steps then turned their heads.

"Yes, aunt. I want Jef to take it straight from the tree" replied Bumil.

"The thing is I don't know where there is a mango tree that is bearing fruit" Jef lamented.

"Then we go to aunt's house. It just so happens that the mango tree next to the house is fruiting."

A ray of happiness flashed on Kimmy's face, he couldn't wait to go to his aunt's house immediately.

"Really?" kimmy asked got a nod from Azuma.

Anelis and Abellard were relieved to hear this. Now Jef seemed agitated, thinking about how to climb a tree.
