My Adopted Princess's

My Adopted Princess's
Chapter 3

Lewis immediately rubbed his face violently, cold sweat instantly starting to feel. Lewis's face was now deathly pale, what more trouble had he made today? Not enough bad luck that he experienced when he found out his lover was cheating?

BUKS!! A loud sound made Lewis immediately turn his head quickly, he swallowed the saliva strongly, his hands trembling even more as several people began to gather around his car with unfriendly faces. Where is he now? How could he drive that fast in an area like this empty market?

“Out!” The cry of a man of great stature made Lewis' guts grow smaller. Lewis had not yet opened his mouth, some people began to bravely hit the glass part of his car. Amidst the confusion mixed with strong fear, his gaze was fixed on Amara who had been sculpting, he also seemed to be so shocked by what they were going through.

“Amara,,,”

Never had Lewis finished his words, Amara turned with a very sharp look, an aura full of hatred as if he was pouring for Lewis. “What! Can't you just go out and finish everything? You can't see how those people can kill us right now!” I strangled Amara with annoyance. Amara threw away her face quickly, she pulled out the phone with a slight murmur that left Lewis' heart breaking even more. “You are useless Lewis, I would never want to see you again if this incident affected my career!”

The people who were out there seemed to get more furious because two people in the car were not coming out, one of them began to blindly, because, he threw an apple on the windshield of the car hard. “Hai, stupid! Are you guys going to stay inside until we burn this car?!”

The shout sent Lewis back into a panic, his hand starting to grab the seat belt and opening it in a hurry, these market people would actually burn them alive if this was his anger. “Hurry out Lewis! Didn't you hear their threats?!” amara shouted impatiently.

Lewis who was also panicked could only crackle violently, he was fed up with all the selfishness of Amara. With a long breath. Lewis starts to open the car door and prepares to get tantrums from everyone who is waiting for him. Just now he had set foot on the ground, a hand clutching firmly his collar, “Well apparently this fool came out too!” lewis's eyes could only be tightly closed and prepared to take a blow to his face, but another hand touched his shoulder and slightly pushed the man who was about to hit him earlier.

“Son, quickly take Maria away, there is a hospital at the crossroads there, our wagon will not be able to carry Maria quickly,” said the old man with a pleading gaze, the look on his face was so panicked and occasionally looked at a woman who had been lying unconscious on the road, the blood that splashed the woman's body as if it was evidence of the tightness of Lewis' car hit him.

“Mommy!” the loud screeching of a little girl who ran into the crowd made Lewis even more silent, sobbing the little girl who immediately hugged Maria's body made Lewis' heart sliced, just now he destroyed a happiness between a child and his mother. The little girl was still wearing the school uniform, the little goblet in her hand she let go beside the limp body of Mary, the shadow of a child who just wanted to show his success in school but became a terrible tragedy that he will remember forever. “Uncle, Mommy!” the girl screamed while looking at the old man earlier.

Some people started to help Maria get into the car, while the old man hugged the crying little girl. “Caitlin, come with them, accompany your Mommy, I'll catch up with you.”

Lewis, who could not say a single word, saw the girl named Caitlin enter and the car door closed. His consciousness began to return as a rough clap from a man behind him was painful. “You must actually deliver them to the hospital, if you are not responsible, we will destroy the car we have marked!”

“Can you shut up? Don't you see the situation now!” lewis snapped which for the first time he put out on Amara. When Lewis glanced back at the mirror, he saw that the eyes were staring at him with fear. “Sorry, I promise I will arrive at the hospital quickly, your mother will definitely be safe,” Lewis said. Citlin did not reply, he immediately lowered his head and came back crying to his mother.

...✨✨✨...

Arriving at the hospital, Maria was immediately treated quickly, all that was left was Lewis and Caitlin, Amara? The woman immediately ordered a taxi when not in the hospital, she immediately fled so as not to be a witness let alone a suspect in this case if it gets more complicated. Caitlin sat at the very end of the chair, away from Lewis who wanted to calm the girl down. Lewis pulls out his phone and starts looking for Mommy's contacts, there's nothing he can do in Florida alone, nothing to help him here. “Halo baby, are you done? How was your lecture today?”

The soft voice made Lewis feel guilty, he could only exhale heavily from being too confused to tell the whole thing. “Mom,” murmured Lewis as he glanced at Caitlin who was still crying and stared at the door where Maria was being handled.

“Ya darling? Why is your voice like that? You're okay, aren't you?” ask her with an anxious tone.

“A-I just hit someone Mom,” said Lewis, he couldn't help but cry this time, there was fear if the woman in there was not saved. How Caitlin feels worried about her mother's condition.

“Jeez, what? You're at the police station right now?”

“No Mom, I'm in the hospital, I'm afraid. I-“

“Wait there, Mom will go right now, send me your location now dear. One more thing, do not contact your Daddy, let Mommy explain everything later.”

After the call ended, Lewis' panic did not diminish in the slightest, he looked anxiously at the door that Caitlin was looking at, why so long? Can the woman survive? Will he end up in jail after this? All the bad thoughts flashed through Daneil's head, he couldn't think clearly let alone help to calm the little girl down. About 10 minutes passed, the old man who was in the scene earlier came, he immediately hugged Caitlin and calmed her down.
