My Adopted Princess's

My Adopted Princess's
Chapter 4

Lewis is from Chicago, in the North Side of Loncoln Park, where at the age of 17 he decided to study in Florida, where Brian came from. The thing that Lewis liked most about Florida was the tourist attraction that was so in line with Lewis, he said, and no one knows Lewis as the son of a CEO father in a big company and a mother who has a big name because of his work that has been adapted into a film.

From childhood Lewis did not like something special, he wanted to be free to find his identity and succeed with his own hard work without the intervention of his parents again after he went to college, but a plan sometimes has many obstacles, the romance story is over and also the desire to succeed becomes chaotic today.

Lewis's gaze was immediately diverted when the door of the room was open, they all immediately stood up from their seats and approached the doctor who had just come out. “How is the condition Doc?” ask Lewis.

The doctor just exhaled slowly and smiled wryly. “The situation is very critical, we need the approval of the family to perform the operation at the head.” Hearing that Lewis was getting weaker, he got more and more frightened.

...✨✨✨...

2 Hours had passed quickly, Lewis several times saw the watch in his hand because Mommy who he hoped could calm him never came. “Mommy what is Uncle doing? Why so long? Mommy's gonna be okay, isn't Uncle?”

Lewis lowered his head, realizing that he was as selfish as Amara, worrying about himself but others who suffered far more from him. “Your Mommy is strong Caitlin, Uncle knows you are tired, take a break, Uncle will wake you if your Mommy is awake.”

Brian sat next to him, patting Lewis on the shoulder hard. “What happened? You didn't tell me at all. If I hadn't fought my laziness to contact Amara I'd never have known where you were until now,” sizzled Brian. It felt like all day he felt together with Lewis because he had let the poor man see a photo of Amara's affair with another man, plus Lewis did not take a class at the Campus, he said, all messages were not answered and when contacted by Lewis' phone as if inactive. When asking Amara, the woman hummed and said Lewis was useless, brought him into trouble and when Brian found out Lewis had just hit someone quickly Brian rushed after Lewis. “You've contacted your parents?” brian asked slightly weakened as he felt pity with Lewis's alarming look. The blank look and the glassy appearance of Lewis illustrates what the man is as broken as he is.

Lewis could only nod his head slowly, he closed his eyes again and rubbed quite strongly on his eyebrows. Brian circulated his gaze, he was a little stunned to see 2 people beside Lewis, they must be the family of the victim, waiting quickly for the news to be delivered by the Doctor. “Who did you hit?” brian whispered very slowly.

“A mother of the girl's child,” Lewis replied.

When Brian wanted to ask further, the door of the operating room opened, they all stood up again and asked the Doctor the same thing. “Operation is running smoothly, the patient is still unconscious and will be moved first,” explained the Doctor.
