18. A Cracked Relationship

"Gentleman where are you going?" ask the driver.

"To the bar." replied Ethan.

"Where's the lord?" ask the driver.

"Whatever it is, you'll know where the bar is that can make people throw away stress" Ethan says.

The driver was silent, thinking maybe the passenger was in a lot of trouble. He then drove his car to the bar he used to go to, not far from Daby's apartment. Before long, the car stopped at a bar that was open twenty-four hours non-stop.

"Till master" said the taxi driver.

Ethan took the money in his pocket, handed it to the driver and got out of the car. Without seeing anything, he went straight into the bar. It feels lonely because of the morning as well, although it is open all day without closing.

But he needs a drink, though he rarely gets drunk. But right now he wants to forget the betrayal of his lover and best friend in plain sight. It seemed to overshadow the sound of the sighs of Daby and Jhonson. Also Jhonson's love for Daby.

"What do you want to drink, sir?" ask the waiter as Ethan sits at the bar table.

"Wisky." said Ethan.

The bartender took what Ethan asked for. Then he gave it to Ethan. Ethan immediately chugged it quickly and asked again, unmitigated he asked with the bottle.

He had never been drunk, he had been unconscious five times and was blabbering more and more. The bartender nodded as well.

"Just five gulps had already been stoned, had he never been drunk before?" said it.

"You really are assholes! Two traitors!" ethan said in his drunkenness.

He looked at the bartender with a faint look and brandished his hand with a weak pointing. Saying unclear words. But the bartender understood, maybe the man in front of him was having a problem.

Two men approach Ethan and take him away. One of them paid for the drink Ethan ordered. Then he takes Ethan out and rides his car.

The night before, Ethan just realized from his stupor. Turns out he was drunk and then fainted, he opened his eyes and looked around. His head was dizzy because it was unusual to down wisky at the bar this morning.

He looked to the side, sitting the man who was none other than his best friend Jhonson. Ethan slaps his face to the side, wanting him to slap his best friend's face for seizing her lover without his knowledge.

"If you want to slap me, go ahead" said Jhonson.

"God! Why dirty my hands just for the sake of a woman not knowing herself!" ethan says.

Jhonson does not accept Ethan saying as to Daby, but he is silent. He also felt guilty for being tempted as well and ended up loving the girl instead. He knows Daby is his best friend's lover, but Daby chooses him instead.

"Ethan, forgive Daby" said Jhonson.

Jhonson was silent, he lowered his head and took a deep breath. It is not easy to apologize to the person he hurt, but at least he is trying to restore all the circumstances even though it will never be good again.

"Do you think I'm just a loser? Letting everything run stealthily behind me. You should have said that you liked Daby too. I'd give up that girl for you if she likes you too. But I know you guys are having fun even sleeping together. Where is your brain as a man and Jhonson's best friend?!" ethan said that had already peaked his anger.

Jhonson was still silent, letting his best friend beat him and even scolded him. If he gets hit, he's a coward. Why don't you tell Ethan that he and Daby love each other.

"Here you go, you better get out of my apartment. I don't want to see you, it's not easy to change a broken mood. And also will never put together pieces of glass that have been cracked. I think it's better if I pull out my stake in the cafe, just manage yourself you and Daby. I will return to Indonesia forever." said Ethan finally he will return forever to Indonesia.

"Don't Ethan. How about the cafe? Don't mix work with personal affairs, the cafe was your struggle here. Why should I take back the shares?" ask Jhonson who's worried about Ethan's intentions.

"I don't care, it's all ruined because of you. You should think well of your affair, I don't mix work with personal matters. But I'm tired of being here, seeing you guys cheating behind my back? Isn't that sickening? It's disgusting!" ethan said with a sigh.

Jhonson is upset by Ethan's remark, he comes in with good intentions and apologizes. If they're going to fight, he accepts. But Ethan prefers to shut up and say harshly to her. Wanting to reply to Ethan's words was also inappropriate because he was wrong, Jhonson finally stood up and left his best friend who will soon become a stranger.

He felt guilty, but the rice had already become porridge. The cafe will also manage itself later with Daby.

Ethan is still in his bed. Still thinking about who brought him to his apartment, as he remembered he was at the bar and drunk there. After drinking a few glasses he was immediately drunk and unconscious.

"Who brought me to the apartment?" ethan's mumbling.

He remembered, if Jhonson had brought him it would have been impossible. Because the man didn't know he was going to a bar and getting drunk there.

The knock on the door in his room made Ethan astonished. Who else knocked on his door. Before long the door opened, Daby looked with a sad face. Ethan takes a rough breath, wanting him to drive the girl away. But he could not bear to, just looking at her coldly.

Daby sat next to Ethan, looking at him guiltily. Then he looked down and held Ethan's hand.

"At first you were very gentle Ethan, very romantic. It makes me like you. But whether six months ago I suddenly liked your best friend, I tried to tease him. She didn't respond to me, because she knew I was your lover. But the more he rejected me, the more I liked Ethan. I'm sorry, I was wrong with you." said Daby.

"Have it, I don't care what you do now or what you did. Everything seems to be your hypocrisy, you are secretly in a relationship behind my back. If you intend to break up with me, why not from your visit to Indonesia. Why do I catch you sleeping together now? Do you really intend to betray me?" ethan says.

Daby was silent, he knew Ethan was angry. It's impossible to slap her or chase her away, so she dares to go into Ethan's room.

"Go away, there's no point in you coming and apologizing. That's all you and he did for me to forgive you. Yeah, just do what you want to do. I don't care anymore. Now you get out of my room!" ethan says.

Daby was silent, and he got up from his seat. Ethan picks up his phone and searches for an e-ticketing service app for his return to Indonesia tonight. After that, he hurried to pick up his suitcase and tidy up his belongings for him to take home.
