My Boss My Enemy

My Boss My Enemy
Wish it was wrong

Renita woke up when she heard a moaning sound on her side. He saw the son's body shivering with pale dry lips.

''Oh my goodness, Vel. Your body is very hot" he said when touching the cheek and forehead of his son.

"Oh, how is this? Where is your father outside the city" he murmured frantically.

Renita immediately grabbed the phone that was not far from her. She intended to contact the husband, but stopped when she saw the clock on her phone still showing at six in the morning.

''Definitely still sleeping. Last night, he came home late. Then it will be...."

The woman turned to the family doctor, then asked him to come to the house to check on his son. But unfortunately, the doctor is having family business out of town.

''The lady, please take her to the hospital. I'll call my friend. So, madam doesn't need to queue later." The doctor gave advice.

Renita just agreed.

''My friends will be on standby at eight in the morning. Later, the madam just come in. I'm registering on your behalf."

''Okay, Doc. Thank you yes ... Sorry for the trouble."

The call ended.

''Ama," call Marcello in her weak tone.

''Yes, my dear." Renita said right near her son's ear.

"Lad...."

''Papa is still at work, tomorrow is just home," said Renita full of tenderness.

''Eyo wants what, I love you," she asked spoiledly.

''Mama just call.... Papa is far away." The woman tried to give her son understanding.

''You ''you...."

Renita immediately contacted the husband, already ringing to so, but there is no sign of will get a response from the man there.

''Where are you going, Mas? Don't know if your son is nyariin. You don't usually sleep," she said with a cell phone stuck to her ear.

''Papa, Ma..," whined Vello again.

Feeling her efforts were in vain, she put back her flat object and took care of her son.

"Papa can't be contacted, dear. Papa is busy looking for money to buy toys like ice cream for Vello. So, we can't bother papa, honey."

The toddler nodded with his pale face. Although disappointment emanated clearly from the twinkle of his eyes.

''Now we are ready to find a cure. Let's get you home tomorrow, Vello's healed. Would yes..."

Marvello just nodded weakly. Renita immediately put thick clothes on her son's body, then carried him out to get ready for the hospital.

...----------------...

"Ma, it's papa." Vello pointed to a man waiting in line in front of the obstetrician's room next to him, a distended woman.

Now, the mother and child couple are waiting in line for the drug at the Hospital Pharmacy.

''Vello misses his eyes, papa is out of town, baby," Renita replies without taking her eyes off the phone.

He was in a chat with his friends who asked him where he was.

''Sis, Ama. Eyo dak. That's what, Ma." The toddler was still adamant about his stance.

Curious, Renita followed her son's index finger. He sharpened his vision hoping that what he saw was also wrong. From the gesture of the man is indeed very similar to her husband but what is she here for, instead of him being on a business trip, her inner wonder.

To be sure, she immediately dialed the husband's number. Renita did not take a second's glance from the man, as he waited for his call to be lifted.

''Hallo."

''Where are you, Mas?" asked the woman withholding growl.

''I just woke up, honey. Why?"

''Don't lie to you! Around you is very noisy. Where are you, Mas?" Renita continued to scout her husband with an angry look.

''Yes. I see clearly if it's you, my vision is still normal."

''Where are you, Ren?" ask the man across there in a huffed tone.

''It's none of your business. Who is she with you?"

''I'm alone, not with anyone" Armand said.

''Yuk, Mas. We're called."

''Who is the woman you are with? I heard his voice." The woman's eyes were already heating up. He did not believe what he saw.

''I-i ... Can explain. Don't misunderstand me."

''No need for what I saw to be very clear."

''Mas, already dong phone. He's called a doctor." There was clearly a annoyed tone of a woman across there.

''I'm sorry if I interrupted your time with your woman." Renita turned off the call unilaterally.

He hoped that it would all be a mistake. He still clearly saw the man on his phone was still looking for his whereabouts, but before long the man's hand was pulled by the woman who was with him entered a room.

"The son of Marvello." An officer's voice ripped his daydream. He rushed to the place to redeem the child's medicine.

Renita contemplated to herself on the balcony of her room. The incident at the hospital was still recorded clearly in his memory. Completely, he still did not believe all of that. Many questions were lodged in his mind and only Armand could answer.

''Ama Mayah yes cama Eyo?"

Renita immediately wiped away the remaining tears when she heard her son's voice.

''No, Honey. Why are you mad at this lovely mama's son."

"Then I was silent. Eyo acute ama mayah," he said by stretching into the decapan of the mother.

''No, Honey." Renita clenched tightly onto the tiny body.

Tears flowed back down hard. He kissed the top of his son's head many times.

''Hello sleep yes, so the medicine can work. Play again" said the woman, holding back tears.

''Yes, Ama...."

Without waiting for long, the toddler fell asleep in the warm embrace of the mother. After making sure that her son was completely slumbering, Renita brought Marvello to her room. Not to forget, put a blanket up to the chest.

''Ren, we need to talk." Armand confronted his wife who had just come out of the bedroom of his baby.

''He said to come home tomorrow, why is he home now? It's not that you're out of town" he said cynically.

''Ren, I can explain."

''There is nothing to explain. It's all very clear."

''What you see doesn't match reality, Ren." Armand looks very frustrated.

''Whatever the truth is, I don't care. I'm obviously very disappointed that you lied to me, Mom."

''Move aside, your huge body is blocking me." Renita pushed her husband's body rough away.

He passed by just like that, regardless of Armand who was shouting kept calling out to him.

''No need to scream, your child just slept after taking the medicine.''

''Vello, why?''

Renita turned her body, then stared intently at her husband. ''What are you wondering about the state of Vello. Not that you don't care."

''Ren, I've been trying to get you to talk nicely, but why is your response always cynical like that? Am I wrong, I'm asking my son?" Lost the man's patience.

''Don't take care of you, Mom. Where were you when your son whined to find his father. Many times, I called you but not even once you picked up. Ooo, I know, you must still be busy with your woman, right?"

"Renita," growled Armand.

''Well, you don't have to go home, Mom. If you just wanna make a storm." Renita slammed the door of the room in front of her husband.
