My boyfriend's a Vampire

My boyfriend's a Vampire
Episode 98: Panic in Kos

Mentari returned to his contest, making a very beautiful orange sky tinge to the eye. Maya had finished her studies that day and returned to boarding with a bag of provisions for her dinner purchased from a nearby stall around her boarding house. On the terrace, Bu Laksmi was sitting on his wheelchair with the art behind him.

“Good afternoon Mom,”why Maya while nodding her head to salute.

“Sore. You're home?”ask her while smiling kindly.

“Already,Bu. Excuse me upstairs first.”

Ms. Laksmi just nodded while looking straight ahead, staring at her orchid plants flowering lushly.

In her room, Maya cleans herself and rushes to open the food wrapping paper and puts it on a plate and eats it. Stared at every corner of his room that was still messy, dirty clothes still piled up had not had time to enter the laundry, the papers used to study last night were also still scattered. The table he used for the dinner mat was a small dining table with two chairs that he bought online because the boarding house did not provide it. As the girl opened the bottle of mineral water and was about to drink it, an incoming message rang from her cell phone. Maya glanced at the clock indicated by her phone.

“Seven o'clock past twenty-nine minutes,”inya.

This means that in New York it is still morning at the same hour, different 12 hours earlier than in Indonesia.

“May..I've arrived in New York and occupy a threesome apartment with other students from Indonesia.”

Maya types a reply through whattsup for Ryan who has now started his pre-university period in the land of Uncle Sam.

“Friends boy or girl?”

“Cowoklah. Girlhood. You jealous?”

“It. Don't bule lyrics there.”

“Iya. I want breakfast first, May. Love u.”

“Love u,too.”

As time rolls on, Maya cleans her room and throws all the trash out to the front of the stairs where the second floor trash is collected in a large barrel, in the hope that the art immediately took it and threw it into a large garbage tub in front of the house. The atmosphere of the cost of the night was silent, all the residents were busy with their respective college assignments. Downstairs there was a squeaking sound of electric tokens roaring for charging. Passing through Wulan's room, the lights appear still dark indicating the girl has not returned home. Every day after college, Wulan always went to work in a mall that hired herself as customer service with night shifts. Maya is quite concerned and sympathetic with the way the girl divides her time with her busy college affairs.

Maya lays herself on the bed after completing all her college assignments for the next day. His body felt very tired and his eyes drowsy, the blanket pulled and his eyes began to be closed. He fell asleep for a few hours until the time showed at eleven o'clock at night when a noise sounded from the first floor. Maya opened her eyes that were still very sticky and her body felt reluctant to wake up. Thought of the wall clock mounted above the door of his room, in the dimness he could see clearly.

“Even hours past five minutes.”

Maya put up her ears, like the sound of conversation from many people below. His curiosity arose, the girl suddenly became refreshed and got up from her bed and walked towards the light switch.

“Czech.”

The room turned very bright, her earlobes were placed near the door, the sound was still vague but very rowdy. Maya opens the door and walks up the stairs so she can see clearly, five of the cost residents coming out wearing her pyjamas, seeming to be conversing with the host mother. One of them seemed busy calling a number and talking seriously. Then the voice of the art sounded like screaming in fear.

“God...”.

Maya is curious and goes down to the first floor, joining the others.

“What's this about right?”

Dian is a child of the Faculty of Biology whose building is adjacent to the Faculty of General Medicine. The long-haired girl is from Bantul, and is a friend of Wulan High School.

“Yang really? Where now? Worse?”

“Community hospital center. Let's go there!”take Bu Laksmi while standing with a cane to help walk three feet with the artist.

“Udah call his parents yet?”ask Maya.

“They're on their way here,”sahut Dian while ordering an online taxi from her phone.

Eventually five boarding and boarding mothers jostled into the taxi, the rest waiting at the boarding house with anxious hopes. Along the dark path made all five speechless with their thoughts during their time in the taxi. Ms. Laksmi seemed to hold the art's hand with a tremble, the old woman was concerned about the fate of her boarding child and also took responsibility for Wulan's safety so that even though she had difficulty walking still forced herself to participate in distinguishing Wulan in the hospital.

Arriving at the hospital, Dian hurriedly headed for the receptionist room.

“Wulan is still in the ER. Let's go there!”

Maya looks sorry for Bu Laksmi, she walks on the left side of the boarding house's mother, while the art is on her right side. The mother stuttered with her staff until they reached an elongated room with ten beds lined up. There were only three patients, one of them Wulan who appeared bandaged legs and hands due to blisters. His face appears blue on the forehead and cheeks due to the toppling over the asphalt which leaves scratches that make the surface of his skin slightly swollen and bluish.

“Luckily you are only minor injuries,” Dian said as she approached the bed where Wulan was being treated.

“Iya..But the thing was for mercy,”sahut Wulan while grimacing in pain.

“Where did it happen anyway?”asked Maya curiously, her face looked seriously at the wounds on the girl's body.

“It looks like the driver of the car is drunk. But he paid for all these treatments.”

“Whose person?”ask Mrs Laksmi.

“Still at the police station,”sahut Wulan while straightening his legs.

Suddenly two old men walked into the room, his appearance very simple.

“Eh. Sorry to trouble you guys,”seru Wulan with a happy face.

“Aduh,Master. Mother until deg-degan not kaluan. Until rent angkot make it here,”seru the mother while stroking and kissing the head of the princess.

“Thank you for looking at Wulan ya...”, said the father with a smile.

Wulan's parents seemed relieved after witnessing the princess in good health. His mother wiped the tears with the back of his hand, his thin body wrapped in pink hijab, on his face was clearly a wrinkle that indicated his age was no longer young. The father was wearing batik and black pants complete with a pecinya.

In Maya's heart thought, Wulan is much luckier, her parents are still complete even though they live a simple life. The girl went out of the room for a bit to breathe fresh air because inside the ER was crowded with humans. The sky was still dark with a sprinkling of stars illuminating the sky. A red, blue-striped angkot was parked in front of the ER lined up with a number of other cars.

“A sacrifice of loving parents. Although it has financial limitations still take the time to rent angkot,”gumam Maya while shedding tears.
