Mr. Abdi arrived at the front room and Ayden immediately greeted the middle-aged man with a warm smile.
"Sir." Ayden greeted as he extended his hand.
Mr. Abdi watched Ayden from toe to head, trying to convince him that the big, burly man before him was Ayden. Bule Kere whom he had once refused his presence.
"Ayden?"
"Yes, Mr. Abdi. I am Ayden" replied the man.
"Please sit down, son Ayden."
"Thank you, sir."
Mr. Abdi sat down and was followed by Ms. Lydia who is now sitting next to her husband. Both he and Mr. Abdi were so curious about Ayden's intention to meet them.
"See how it looks! Ayden has changed away from the Ayden we used to know. Or ... it could be that he deliberately improved himself to look better in front of us" whispered Mr. Abdi to Ms. Lydia.
"Yes, Dad's right. But I think Ayden has really changed, Dad. Just try to peek at the car used by Ayden here. The car, the luxury car, Dad!" reply Ms. Lydia.
"What the hell, Mom?"
"Yes!"
Mr. Abdi stopped his conversation with Ms. Lydia. Now he focused on Ayden and Risa sitting before him.
"Ehm, so ... what made you come here, Ayden boy?" ask Mr. Abdi who is trying to start their conversation.
Ayden glanced at Risa. "It's actually like this, Mr ...."
"Dad, there's actually something I want to ask you guys and I'm really sorry if my question would offend you" Risa said.
"What question, Risa? Just ask," said Mr. Abdi with a warm smile.
"I want to know where my real parents are, Dad. I want you to be honest, where you found me before," said Risa with her head down.
Ayden clasped Risa's hand which felt very cold and tried to give strength to the woman.
Mr. Abdi rounded his eyes perfectly after hearing the question posed by Risa. Similarly, Miss Lydia, the two women's neutrals now look teary.
"Well!" Ms. Lydia looked sadly at her husband.
"Risa, why do you want to find out about them? Is the love we have been giving so far lacking? Anyway you're still our son, Ris. The affection we give you is much greater than their affection" said Mr. Abdi.
Risa raised her head then looked at the two middle-aged man neutrals closely.
"I'm sorry, Dad. But anyway, I have to know where they are. At least I can make sure they're okay."
Abdi took a deep breath. "We don't know where your parents are, Ris. We don't recognize who they are either" Abdi replied.
"Sorry to interrupt, Mr. Abdi. We are actually planning a wedding day. And on her happy day, Risa wants both her biological parents to be present at our wedding party" said Ayden.
Mr. Andi and Ms. Lydia were looking at each other for a moment.
"Married? So you two are planning to get married? Why didn't you tell us first? Although we were only foster parents, we deserved to be told first. In any case we are the ones who raised Risa," cried Mr. Andi with an annoyed face looking at the couple.
"I'm sorry, sir. But this time I have to make my own decision. This is my future and I don't want my future taken away anymore" said Risa.
Mr. Abdi and Ms. Lydia were instantly silent. They felt slapped after hearing the words spoken by Risa just now. Yes, all this time they were so cruel because they had taken the happiness of Risa for the sake of their daughter, Mona.
"All right then. We can only wish you all the best."
"Dad, Mom, you still haven't said where I'm from? Please very much, I would love to meet and see the faces of my biological parents" Risa said once again.
Mr. Abdi took a deep breath and then exhaled back. "We adopted you from an orphanage called Cahaya Asa. Meet the caretaker, who knows they can help find your parents, Ris," replied Mr. Abdi.
Risa developed a smile on her face. He was so happy to hear the answer from Mr. Abdi. Although it is still not clear the origin, but at least he already has a little hope.
Risa got up from her position then approached Pak Abdi and Bu Lydia. He hugged the two adoptive parents in turn while thanking them.
"Thank you very much, Dad, Mom. Thank you very much" said Risa with teary eyes.
"Together, Ris." Miss Lydia is the same. Her eyes looked teary as she returned Risa's gaze back then.
"Oh yeah, where do you work now, Ayden boy?" continued Mr. Abdi who began to mince words.
"I work at a telecommunications company, sir," Ayden replied.
"Oh." Mr. Abdi just 'oh' ria while nodding his head. "How much is the employee's salary there?" ask again.
"Ehm, pretty big, sir. Because the salary applied in our company is above average salary," Ayden replied calmly.
"Trus what is your position in that company?" continued Ms. Lydia who had been curious since.
Ayden was silent for a moment while watching the two foster parents Risa.
"Of course it's a regular employee, right? But it's good enough, the salary is greater than the salary in other companies" said Mr. Abdi.
Ayden simply smiled as he nodded his head.
Ms. Lidia patted Mr. Abdi's arm gently with a bent face. "Ish, this Dad!"
"It's okay, Mom," Ayden said.
