Chapter 1

Margot Evans is the adopted daughter of Lee Ryder, a wealthy American family. Since childhood she has been taken by Lee Ryder's family from an orphanage during the New Year's celebrations.

When Lee Ryder's father visits the orphanage to share a new year's night together.

Margot Evans is 17 years old and Won Shik Lee is 17 years old. Won Shik Lee has a son, one of whom is Lee Ryder.

Lee Ryder is a wealthy oil tycoon and one of the nine richest and most influential people in the world.

The beautiful girl lived and grew up in the big house of Lee Ryder's family with great affection.

"Morning, dad!", said Margot Evans.

"Good morning, dear!", said the white-haired man who was sitting on a wooden chair by the wide-open window.

"I've made my dad's favorite apple pie" says Margot Evans.

"You must remember that my blood sugar can go up, baby" Won Shik Lee said.

Margot Evans laughed softly while cutting the apple pie on the dinner table for Won Shik Lee.

"This apple pie isn't very sweet, dad" says Margot Evans.

Margot Evans offered a piece of apple pie to her foster father.

"Thank you, Margot", said Won Shik Lee.

"Isn't today the father's schedule going to Andreas Simons' doctor" said Margot Evans.

"Hmmm.., yes.", Won Shik Lee was silent.

"I'm taking you there, yeah, dad, because I'm off school today" said Margot Evans.

"Why is the holiday?", asked Dad.

"There is a meeting at the school so that all students are forced to leave" said Margot Evans.

"Hmmm, yes, but I will go to Andreas' doctor with a driver" Won Shik Lee said.

"Umm.., well, if you go with the driver" said Margot.

"You just rest at home and enjoy your day off" said the father. "Dad go first, yeah ! Take care of the house because today the workers at home are on holiday as well as you" he continued.

"Mmm.., yes!", said Margot Evans as she chewed apple pie in her fork.

"Dad is planning to have a new year's party in this big house, there will be many guests present to celebrate" Won Shik Lee said.

"Woah.., fun ! New Year's party!", exclaimed Margot Evans cheerfully.

"Do you like it?", asked Won Shik Lee.

Won Shik Lee fixed the location of his glasses hanging on his pointed nose.

"Very like it ! Did you also invite Lee Ryder?", asked Margot Evans.

"No.", said the father.

"Oh.", said Margot Evans.

Margot Evans was silent as she cut the apple pie on top of the flattened plate that was in front of her.

"I will not invite him because without being invited he must come", said the father.

"But, I think you should invite him to the big house for a new year's party" said Margot Evans.

"So soon he will come here, you will tell him that there will be a party in the big house", said the father.

"Me!?" said Margot Evans in a panic. "Where does he want to talk to me, dad!?", he continued.

"Just tell him if there's a new year's party, don't have to talk to him at length, it'll be free ! It's a waste of time!" said father.

"Dad knew it still told me to tell him", said Margot scowled.

"Already ! Already ! Don't pout so ! Or you just write it on a piece of paper and then you give it to him, and he will read the message" said the father.

"Patience, we must be patient with his attitude ! Basically he is, a good-natured boy" said the father.

Won Shik Lee then stepped away from the middle room of the mansion.

The atmosphere of the house suddenly deserted without anyone in the big house, lived Margot Evans who was in the room while sitting facing the dining table.

Enjoying his homemade apple pie.

"Talk to him ? It was the same as putting your head in a crocodile cage!?", muttered Margot.

Margot Evans plays the fork in her hand onto a plate containing a little apple pie.

"She's never felt like me since I came to the mansion even since she got married" Margot said.

Margot Evans looked at her dinner plate and put down the fork she was holding.

"When can he accept me sincerely in this house?" said Margot.

Margot Evans' gaze stopped on a tall man standing outside the central room.

Take off his long jacket and walk into the living room.

Margot Evans choked in shock as the silver-haired man approached her.

"What do you see?", said the handsome man.

"A-dogs... Yes..., the poodle dog on my phone wallpaper!?", said Margot nervously.

"Hmmm...., you wouldn't say that my face is similar to that mammal, would you?" said the silver-haired man.

"No ! I didn't say it like that because I was telling the truth", replied Margot gulping.

Margot Evans quickly turned her gaze toward her dinner plate.

"When did Lee Ryder come ? He entered suddenly into the mansion without sounding at all !? At least he rang the house bell !"

Margot Evans muttered softly as she glanced at Lee Ryder who was walking near the television.

The silver-haired man sat down leisurely while watching the television screen regardless of Margot Evans' presence in the living room.

"Oh, yes, my father told me to tell me that there will be a new year's party at home, I invite you to come" said Margot.

"New year party?" replied Lee Ryder.

"Yes, I'm expecting you to come to the party later and I hope you like this invitation too" Margot said.

Margot Evans got out of her chair while cleaning the dinner plate.

"Today the workers in the big house were all on holiday, so no one was cooking as usual while the father went to Andreas' doctor" Margot continued.

Lee Ryder still watched the television screen in front of him without making a sound.

"I go to the room first, if you need anything you can call me or if you're hungry, just order a fast food service" said Margot Evans.

Margot Evans finished washing the dishes then she stepped out of the middle room.

"And tell me if you're going home so I lock the door because there's nobody home" Margot said.

"I'll be home tonight.., don't worry about it!", said Lee Ryder.

"Mmm.., okay" said Margot Evans.

"Why don't you go to school today?", asked Lee Ryder.

"Light, school is meeting" said Margot Evans.

Margot Evans ran out of the room to her bedroom on the top floor of the mansion.

Lee Ryder turned his head and looked out of the room.

Sighing his breath while muttering softly.

"Can't that little girl talk to me ? Fuih..., you spoiled girl!", said Lee Ryder somewhat complaining of annoyance.
