Adrian kept his promise. After work, the man was waiting for me in the lobby. Inevitably, this leg followed in his footsteps. He walked in front of me, and I just followed behind me without saying much. My head was bowed deeply, hiding the face from the attention of people who might pass by.
Adrian has got into his car. I'm actually confused, which chair to sit in. Is it, or behind?
Pause next to the car, weighing. Then I decided to open the back of the car. My hand stopped, not until the door was wide open.
"Anna, sit in front!" Mr. Adrian's orders, suddenly startled me.
With a heavy heart, I turned to open the front door, then sit on the seat next to the steering wheel. Mr. Adrian watched my movements carefully. His eyes were clear, staring intensely at me. After putting on my seat belt, the man beside me pulled the car out of the parking area, then sped at high speed after four wheels of his car stepped on the highway.
In less than half an hour, the car stopped at a Japanese restaurant. Hmm, this was my first experience here.
Mr. Adrian went in first, he chose a chair in the corner of the room. We sat face to face, Lesehan without a chair. I spread my eyes around the room. This place is pretty crowded. Looking to the left side, a flower garden with a fish pond decorates this restaurant. Very lovely.
"I ordered the menu ...." Mr. Adrian's voice distracts me. The man was seriously reading the menu. A waiter patiently waited for her to finish, then mentioned the order.
"Sir, what exactly do you want to say? He said there's something to talk about, seriously?" I asked her to be careful.
"The park's good, right? You likey?" I'm clucking. Adrian answered my question with another question, not with the answer I expected.
"Yes, I like it. This is my first time here. Thank you, sir." I really mean it.
"You can come here often if you want, I'll deliver happily." Mr. Adrian smelled a smile.
"Ah, that's .. hmmm." Not yet had I continued the word, the waiter came to bring our order.
"Eat first yes, then we continue to talk." Mr. Adrian gave me chopsticks. I took it with doubt. Honestly, I can't use it yet. During my stay in Malang, even if I had eaten at a Japanese restaurant with my co-workers, I chose to use a spoon to eat and was very reluctant to use the two skewers. But today, it feels very embarrassed if you have to refuse Adrian sir. Then, I was forced to take the chopsticks, trying to use them. Sure enough, many times I failed to take the pieces of meat that had been baked Adrian sir.
"Why?" Adrian stopped his activities. Then, the man stood up and moved to sit next to me. We sat close to each other with almost no distance.
Patiently, sir Adrian taught me to eat with these chopsticks. "Well, here's how ... Try ..."
"Yes, it worked." I answered cheerfully with a smile.
"Ehm. Eat ...." The atmosphere suddenly became silent and .. awkward.
We enjoyed the meal in silence. Every now and then my eyes glanced at Adrian, who unfortunately also glanced at me. I want to finish my food quickly. I ate in a hurry, choking.
"His appetites, I will not ask for your rations," seduced Mr. Adrian while offering a drink. I took it, then drank it with one toilet.
"Anna, we've both grown up. I'll say it seriously." Adrian said softly and softly.
"Speak what, sir?" I asked confused.
"I've liked you since we first met in the interview. And ... Mmm, I want to get to know you more closely."
My heart was pounding at once, hearing Adrian's confession was like drinking poison for me. Other than my married status, my heart still intact loves bang David, the annoying guy who never treated me well.
"Sir, actually ... I have been married. Only, in that status has not been changed. I'm sorry."
"I know."
" You mean, Mr Adrian? Mr Adrian knew I was married, and still you approached me?" My eyes widened to hear the fact that this man knew my status. So, he deliberately approached me even though I was married. Crazy one!
"Yes, I know your marital status is only on paper. I also know how your husband treats you. What I don't know is, how can you still hold on to your marriage?"
"I ... I love him."
"Love shouldn't hurt, Anna. He should give happiness to your heart. I won't let you keep getting hurt."
After that, we no longer talk. Then I went home, in the car, just kept quiet. I stare at the side of the window enjoying the street lights on the side of the road. Is beautiful.
If only love were like that. Like a lamp illuminating the darkness, it gives the road user clues about the direction they are going. However, the lamp will not die, if the electricity goes out. So they need a great power to charge so that their light remains, namely the solar.
Maybe love also needs great strength to survive, in the form of patience. So, until when can patience be maintained?
