New Adventure
Sphinxes

The bushes were so thick and high. Although Sero had walked quite deeply, the tip of the bush was still not visible. Then a while later, Sero finally managed to get out of the bushes. Then he found a ruin there.

...****************...

The ruins look like a temple with a large stone sword embedded in the temple. It is seen that the temple has been hundreds of years old, it can be seen from the moss that grows on some parts of the temple. There are four pillars that stand firmly around the temple, it is clear that on one of the pillars there are unknown writings.

After seeing the ruins, Sero re-entered the bushes to call his three colleagues and show what he had found.

Seen, the three of them were still busy looking for the medicinal plants that Sero needed. Sero immediately called the three of them to meet him.

"Tohru, Abara, Ranta! can you come here for a second!?" Sero called his three colleagues.

Hearing his name being called, they immediately came and approached Sero. Sero saw the medicinal plants they were carrying were already quite a lot, so he thought the supply of medicinal plants they had at this time was enough to treat the sick villagers.

"What's up, sir?" Tanya Tohru's.

"Follow me." Sero replied as he entered the bushes.

Seeing Sero enter the thick bushes, makes them wonder what Sero is doing and what is behind the bush. Without asking Sero, they followed him from behind entering the bushes. Moments after they entered the bushes, Ranta began to complain.

"Why are these bushes so deep!?" Complain Ranta.

Finally, after being outside the bushes, Sero asked the three of them about the ruins he showed.

"Do you know these ruins?" Ask Sero.

"So, this is the first time we've seen these ruins." Answer Tohru.

Even the villagers who have lived in the area for quite a long time did not know about the ruins. It makes Sero curious about what is behind it, plus before Sero got a whisper that makes him able to find the ruins. So most likely, there is something in it.

"How about we check?" Ask Sero.

"Come on." Answer Ranta.

Looks like the others besides Ranta did not mind to check it, they immediately walked up to the ruins in front of him.

As the others walked closer to the main ruins that looked like a temple, Tohru approached one of the columns and observed the inscription on the stone pillar.

"What do you think Tohru's writing is?" Ask Sero.

"This is the writing of the ancient Arum language. The Arum language has been around for three thousand years. Fortunately I've learned it" Tohru explained.

"So what does that mean?" Ask Sero.

"That is to say, One of the damned of the gods because of his arrogance. His grudges and hatred for the god had been pent up and ready to be vented. He is one of the ten Ayasha" Tohru replied.

"Then what is the meaning of all these words?" Ask Sero.

"I don't know, unfortunately." Answer Tohru.

Sero is very curious about the meaning of each sentence spoken by Tohru, because he thinks the sentence contains important information. But Sero felt more curious about the word "She" in the sentence, who "she" was. Without lingering they again walked closer to the main ruins because Abara and Ranta were seen waiting for the two of them.

When viewed from the outside, the main ruins that look like the temple look so small and there is an entrance beside it. Although it was daytime and the weather was so bright, for some reason the room inside the temple looked so dark. Even so, out of curiosity they planned to enter it.

Sero who was at the front, entered the temple first without suspicion, then followed by his three colleagues from behind who entered one by one. After being inside the temple, they were all astonished because the room was completely dark, while the weather was so bright outside and for some reason there was not even a hint of light coming in. The light from outside seemed to be blocked by a thick wall so that the slightest light could not pass through.

Because inside the temple there was nothing they decided to go from there and return to the village. But just as they were about to step out of the temple, the exit mysteriously disappeared in the blink of an eye before them.

"What!?" Abara was surprised.

They were all startled and started to panic as the pitch blackness they felt started to make them feel claustrophobic.

"Quiet down!" Tohru said trying to calm the others down.

Shortly after, one of them started to fall and then fainted.

*bruukk

"What sound is that!?" Sero Say.

Spontaneously Sero immediately tried to find the origin of the sound. After a few steps forward, his foot accidentally stepped on something. Unable to see, he tried to feel what he was stepping on. After he touched, he felt that the center turned out to be someone's hand. Sero did not know who the man lying down was but he still tried to wake him up.

*bruukk

Then came the sound of someone falling. Out of concern Sero tried to call his three comrades.

"Abara! Tohru! Ranta! you guys all right!?" Sero asked worriedly.

But there was no response from the three of them. Before long Sero's body seemed to lose balance and slowly he began to fall and fainted unconscious.

...****************...

A few hours later. As if entering another dimension, they were all suddenly somewhere mysterious. There was not a single living creature there, the atmosphere was so quiet and silent.

After fainting for some reason, Sero began to wake up and try to wake up. Sero held his head because of the dizziness he felt after fainting. Sero began to open his eyes, he looked not surprised even though he knew he had been in a mysterious place. The three colleagues behind looked still unconscious, immediately Sero woke them up one by one.

"Hey, wake!" Sero's speech woke Abara up.

Slowly Abara opened her eyes and began to wake up. Just like Sero he was not surprised at all and actually looked still calm.

"Reply wake the others." Sero Say.

Without saying anything, Abara immediately did as Sero ordered. After everyone woke up and realized, they all stood up and discussed.

"So where are we now?" Ask Abara.

"Of course." Answer Tohru.

None of them seem to know where they are right now. They were all confused and anxious and didn't know what to do. At that moment, suddenly reappeared a whispering voice in Sero's ear.

"Street ahead."

Unsuspecting, Sero carried out what the voice was telling him. Sero was sure that the sound of the whisper would lead him to something. Sero also asked his three colleagues to come walking forward.

"Let's walk." Sero Say.

"Where?" Ask Ranta.

"Of course it's ahead of there." Answer Sero.

Not far from where they first woke up, they found a book standing on a buffer. The book opened and showed a page telling them to read it. Then they all approached the book with the aim of reading the writing listed on the book. But it turns out that the book uses the ancient language of Arum, so that all of them besides Tohru can not read it.

"What does that mean?" Ask Sero

"She is a woman who is hated and feared. For his former deeds, he was cursed with great evil by a god with a body resembling a lioness, wings on his back, and a head that is still intact in the form of a human being signifies a form of disdain of the god to him. the great hatred and grudges he harbored made his existence a threat to every life. Know that his human nature is gone and now he is a very dangerous butcher also terrible. He's known as the Sphinx, and he'll be out soon." Reply Tohru read the meaning of the writing.

"What does that mean!?" Ranta Resolute.

After hearing Tohru read the meaning of the writing on the book, they were all terrified and very anxious about the figure depicted in the book.

Questions popping up in Sero's head, all the questions that popped up in his head were not questions about what was written in the book, but questions that referred to the sound of whispers that had brought him there. Then suddenly there was a whisper like before.

"More steps."

Sero began to feel doubt at the direction of the whispering voice. However, there was no other choice but to follow him, as he did not know the way back.

"Come on." Sero said to his three colleagues.

They continued their steps and followed Sero from behind. They seemed unsettled and alert as to what was about to happen.

A few minutes later, after walking straight ahead, they came to the front of a large stone door with a red crystal attached between the two doors. With all their might they tried to open the door, hoping to find a way out. When the stone door was wide open, they immediately entered it and all they found was scattered fighting gear and a staircase down.

For a moment they stayed inside to look at all the things that were lying there. Weapons, shields, arrows, and armor were scattered everywhere. Then the exit by itself immediately closed tightly until it was tight, and caused quite a strong shock to the floor they were on. Ranta immediately ran to the exit and tried to reopen it but his attempt failed.

"Hey fucking open it up!" Shouted Ranta fearfully while banging on the exit.

With despair, Ranta returns to his friends and is ready to face the risks that will occur. Without lingering they immediately walked to the descending stairs in front of them to see something down there.

To their surprise, it turns out that what they see is a figure that has been described in the book as well as the figure they fear is the Sphinx.
