Thirty minutes have passed. Before that Sero set up a fireplace on the river bank there to warm the person he found it. So that he did not get a fever because of the cold, Sero took off all his clothes and covered his body with a cloth.
There was no other choice for him but to wait until the man woke up. While taking off his clothes, Sero found two knives tucked between his clothes. If seen the knife is not an ordinary knife and can be guessed that the knife is used for fighting.
Will he be a friend or an opponent. The person should have no reason to attack Sero who saved him, but it will be answered when he starts to wake up.
Sero waited for him by sitting near the fireplace he made. While keeping the fire from extinguishing, the man seemed to start moving parts of his body indicating he would soon be conscious. He rose from his unconscious and slowly sat across.
"How are you doing?" Ask Sero.
"What's going on?" Said an unknown person who looked confused.
"I saw you drifting in the river, so I saved you." Sero Say.
After hearing Sero-people's words seemed to contemplate bowing his head with a disappointed look as if he was remembering something. He was silent for a moment with his hands clenched tightly, then he breathed heavily and said.
"Thank you very much." Say that guy.
"So, who are you, what happened to you?" Ask Sero.
Looking at his clothes, it was clear that he was no ordinary person. From his face to his feet full of wounds, it was possible that this person was in danger.
"My name is Senju, I could end up like this-because I was in a fight with four people chasing me before. I didn't know what they were headed for, but as I was running through a waterfall, suddenly an explosion appeared in front of me and I fell from there." Senju.
"Then it's possible that the person chasing you is currently looking for you. What are you gonna do now?" Ask Sero.
"I don't know." Senju replied rather upset and disappointed.
The atmosphere instantly became silent. The sound of sparks and the rumbling sound of the wind were only heard. There was nothing Sero could convey, he was just waiting for another response from the Senju or waiting until the Senju clothes dried.
"Let me come with you!" Suddenly Senju said.
Sero could not answer that question. If he allowed her to come along, then Sero would both be in danger. But he also cannot just leave it. Senju could only shut up and wait for Sero's reply with great expectation.
"What's your answer?" Ask the Spirit of the hermit.
"I think I'll take him." Answer Sero.
"The danger that pursues him will surely both pursue you." Speak the Spirit of the hermit.
"While it's okay, I can't just leave it. If danger were to come, I would definitely fight it." Obviously Sero.
"All decisions are yours." Said the Spirit hermit and disappeared.
Sero did not recognize the person in front of him who claimed to be named Senju. It could be a trap that will make things worse. But if it didn't, he would feel guilty. There was no other choice but to bring him along, if this turned out to be a trap then he could definitely do something. At least he can do good.
"All right, but before that, did you have a family? I might be able to get you there and they might be able to do something for you." Sero Say.
Hearing Sero's words, Senju immediately returned moody. His hands clenched back and from the look of his face he seemed to try to hold back and cover his emotions. Both of his hands crossed, pulling tightly onto the cloth covering his back.
"They…"
Senju seemed so hard-pressed to tell her family.
"What's wrong, if you mind telling it." Sero's speech cuts off Senju's words.
"You must be hungry, this is eating." Said Sero while giving a wooden plate containing fresh bread and fish that he caught earlier in the river.
"Thank you." Senju said while receiving the food Sero gave.
Stomach was filled, clothes were dry, Sero continued his journey to the kingdom of Valhedi. The horses that Sero carried were used to transport the items they carried. He did not ride the horse because he felt it was unfair that only Senju was on foot, so he chose to lead his horse and walk. They walked straight through the path beside the river that flowed quietly. Seen from the increasingly bright sky, indicating that the day has begun to day.
"Sorry before, may I know what your name is?" Senju from behind.
"I'm sorry I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Sero, greetings." Sero said while looking back.
"I forgot to thank you in advance, so thank you for allowing me to come with you Mr. Sero." Senju.
"Don't call me Mister!, just call me Sero." Sero Say.
"I'm sorry then, it's my habit to call someone older than me by name." Senju.
Almost all the way they continued to chat especially Sero who very often asked. In their conversation, they talked a lot about things like monsters or about weapons and magic. From the chat they do is very profitable for Sero, Sero can add basic knowledge about this world.
After some time, they finally reached the end of the forest and from there appeared a kingdom called Valhedi.
A kingdom that seemed so big and so vast. The cloudless sky made the view towards Valhedi kingdom seem so clear. The towering wall of the brick fortress was extremely tall, huge and extremely sturdy completely astonished him. The size of the fortress, Sero thought it was a fortress that was very absolute and very impossible to be penetrated by anyone. It seems Sero forgot that in this world there is magic power that he still does not recognize.
From there also appears a main path to the gate of the kingdom of Valhedi. They walked towards that main road for it to be easy to enter the gate. The shoes are wet because they pass through the shallow river next to them, of course because the weather is getting hotter, their shoes will definitely dry up quickly.
There were a few people on that road. Some of them seemed to carry a lot of cargo in a carriage pulled by two horses and also some pedestrians who only carry weapons. It was possible that they were merchants and adventurers who were on task.
They arrived in front of a very large steel gate also high. There they were dismissed by an officer in full armor.
"Where are you from and please show the terms." Said officer.
Sero was immediately confused by the requirements intended by the officer. He knows nothing of his terms. But then he remembered something before he left the village. Oris's grandfather had previously given him a small, long piece of wood with an iron plate stuck in the middle that read "Travelling merchant". Without thinking, Sero immediately handed over the object.
"We're from a village that's in the west." Said Sero while giving the small wooden object.
The officer received the thing Sero had given him and examined it. Then after that, the thing that Sero had previously handed over was now returned to him.
"Please come in." Said the officer while handing the object back to Sero and returned to where he was.
Sero had panicked if it turns out he had no requirements to enter the kingdom then he will return to the village with a sense of stupid. The thing that Oris' grandfather gave him was one of his requirements, and he survived thanks to it. They both walked into the kingdom. The atmosphere was so bustling and peaceful it was almost like in the Kingdom of Holes. The residents there also have a variety of races such as in the kingdom of Holes.
"Senju, why are you wearing your hood? aren't you hot?" Sero asked while looking back because of curiosity on a hot broad day, Senju seemed to wear a hood that covered her face.
"Because I've gotten used to living in a lonely forest, so I'm very nervous and embarrassed if I meet a lot of people." Said Senju with a slight laugh.
"ohh so yes, just relax anyway definitely will not care about us." Sero Say.
The road to the royal castle felt quite far away, but once they still walked there. Along the road they passed, there were many cheerful laughter from the children running around. Many adults around them work passionately with their peers. Almost every branch in the market is mobbed by many people, especially women. No one who suffered or a slave was there who was in chains or forced to work, really quite a heartwarming sight.
They were at the royal door. Before he was there, Sero tied his horse to a pole under the stairs to the castle and stored all his belongings including weapons. Sero asks Senju to stay quiet and wait there, but Senju is whistling loudly to join the royal castle and see the king.
Sero was asked by the soldier who was on guard about what he needed to enter the castle. After explaining everything to the officer, Sero was finally allowed to enter on condition of being accompanied by two royal soldiers. From there he was led by one of the two soldiers who were with him to the throne room. Until allowed to meet the king directly, the king must have a very good personality and care for his people. Finally they arrived at the throne room and a very honorable throne stood there.
