Mysterious ally

At the time...

Suddenly the Sphinx and other fellow Sero including Abara who was bitten suddenly stopped moving. All the colors that were there slowly started to fade. Wherever Sero looked, the colors were only black and white. Sero was confused by what was going on. Time seemed to have stopped spinning and only Sero was excluded.

"What!?" Sero said in confusion.

All movement suddenly stopped. Even the dust, until the blood flowing from Abara's shoulder seemed to float above the air not touching the ground. Everyone around Sero even the Sphinx seemed to stop moving as if it had turned into a statue.

Sero did not seem surprised and could still calm down when the incident happened. He began to stand up slowly, then looked around. Sero tries to call Tohru who is next to him. The look of his face looked desperate with his hand stalling forward as if trying to reach Abara who was hanging from the bite of the Sphinx. But Tohru did not respond at all even though Sero had called his name many times.

Shortly afterwards, a mysterious voice of a woman was heard.

"I have been waiting for your arrival for a long time,...Sero."

The voice sounded quite loud and echoed throughout the entire room, then spontaneously Sero raised his sword and was wary.

"Who are you! show yourself!" Sero insisted on the sound.

His eyes glanced in all directions looking for the origin of the source of the mysterious sound. Anger and anxiety filled him, because the guidance of the voice had made Sero and his partner in danger.

"Right now you can't see my form. But I am your ally." The mysterious voice.

"My body!?" Sero said in wonder.

Sero hesitated about the mysterious voice's statement. If indeed he was an ally of Sero, then why would he lead him to an abyss.

"My existence is meant to guide and help you out of a predicament you face." Clearly a mysterious voice.

Sero does not believe his words, because the mysterious voice has put Sero and his partner in danger.

"Why did you lead us here!?" Ask Sero.

"obvious. I just want to find out how much power you've gotten from since you've been in this world." Clearly a mysterious voice.

"Since I've been in this world? means you already know that I'm Viards?" Sero was surprised.

"The gate will take something precious from you." Answer the mysterious voice.

"What-like?" Ask Sero.

"Of course, the desire of the gate is always unpredictable. You just have to be ready to lose something valuable." Answer the mysterious voice.

Hearing the answer made Sero very worried about what he would lose. He was afraid that his own family would become victims. But Sero thought that the thought might be refuted due to their different world. Therefore, at the moment Sero only thinks that he has to save his comrades who are in danger.

Without much thought, he received help from the mysterious voice and accepted the consequences.

"I accept." Answer Sero.

"You sure?" Ask the mysterious voice.

"Yes, I'm pretty sure." Answer Sero.

"Alright if you're ready." Mysterious voice.

For a moment the mysterious voice disappeared. Sero waited until the mysterious voice came back. Then the mysterious voice said...

"OPEN!!" Mysterious voice.

Suddenly a blue hole opened in the air and something appeared on Sero's body as if sucked slowly into the hole.

"Your soul will be connected to the thread of the gate that is in the hole. Then the gate will drain the power into your body." Mysterious voice.

Slowly but surely, Sero witnessed for himself the soul that stretched out from his chest increasingly dean with the thread of the gate that also seemed to be trying to reach Sero's soul.

And finally after waiting for a while, the soul of Sero and the thread of the gate began to wrap around each other. Sero can feel something that is his own soul as if it is binding each other with the thread of the gate.

Soon, Sero's soul and the thread of the gate began to fuse and connect with each other. Instantly something like a blue flame emerged from the hole seemed to grab Sero's body through their souls and threads that had been connected and made Sero's body filled with blue flames. However, Sero felt nothing or heat from the blue flames.

"You'll feel intense pain all over your body when you're done using that Power. The longer you wear it, the more pain and the longer the pain you will feel." Mysterious voice.

Sero nodded his head indicating he was ready for it. Sero does not care about the pain he will feel rather than the life of his partner who he must save.

"I remind you, when time goes back, your heart condition will return to what it was before and do not be too consumed by emotions also remember the consequences that you will get." Mysterious voice.

"Good." Sero Say.

Sero walked to his original place beside Tohru, before time went back. He adjusted his body position as before. Then the mysterious voice said…

"Time will soon be running. Good luck to you." Mysterious voice.

A room that had previously been filled with gray, now began to re-emit their respective colors. The colors are coming back slowly, as is the movement of everyone and the Sphinx there.

And it was true that the mysterious voice said. When everything returned to normal, Sero again felt the emotions he had previously felt. Tohru again shouted Abara's name with her hands that seemed to be trying to reach her there and Abara who seemed to be struggling in pain due to a strong bite from the Sphinx.

When the incident happened, Sero noticed Abara and his partner, then another emotion arose in him. Various emotions began to appear little by little. But, everyone has a limit to restrain their emotions before they overflow.

And now, his emotions began to flow profusely trying to break through his limits.

Sero's body began to emit a large red aura, making all the attention shifted to him. It was not only Tohru who was surprised to see Sero suddenly change. But also the Sphinx who realized Sero had suddenly changed was also shocked.

The Sphinx also released a bite on Abara and Abara's body was lying on the floor with her shoulder severely injured.

Sero lowered his sword and walked slowly towards where the Sphinx was. As a small golden light began to gather under Sero's left palm, the golden light instantly formed a sword-shaped pattern and became a real sword that was immediately grasped by Sero's left hand.

Sero looked so strong with both swords he carried coupled with a huge red aura on his body that further added to the impression of the greatness of Sero.

Tohru who was watching, fell silent a thousand words without moving at all and only noticed.

The Sphinx, feeling threatened with Sero, decides to attack him directly. He ran towards where Sero was and was ready to give an attack. Sero instantly swung his right sword with full force and very fast with one hand in the opposite direction.

It seems very clear that the attack that Sero unleashed did not hit the body of the Sphinx at all. But apparently, so strong swing of the sword made the Sphinx thrown to the end of the wall very hard to make the wall he hit destroyed very deep. The hard blow made the Sphinx bleed out of its mouth and it said…

"How can you be that strong!!!" The Sphinx is full of emotions.

Sero realizes that he has to get out of the place to save the lives of Abara and Ranta who were seriously injured. Without lingering Sero dashed with lightning fast with both his swords to strike back.

The Sphinx was severely disadvantaged in the fight this time around. Because his body armor slightly makes the Sphinx very easily hurt by Sero even though the attack was successfully repelled.

After receiving all the attacks Sero gave, the Sphinx seemed to start weakening and off guard. At that moment, Sero quickly jumped and grabbed a red crystal necklace on his forehead which was the key to the exit.

After the crystal was captured. Sero moves away from the Sphinx to get out his last and final judge of the fight. Sero crossed both hands while holding a sword. He held the position while grasping both his swords very firmly, then he said…

"MAZA-AIR-NOVA"

Sero slashed his two swords, and a great white light flashed across which quickly rushed to where the Sphinx stood. The light hit the body of the Sphinx directly on target and produced a giant white ball that was very large and a few moments later the ball exploded with a very large explosion.

The Sphinx was seriously injured by the explosion. When the Sphinx was still lying, the debris of the room began to fall and hit the Sphinx. The Sphinx was immediately trapped and unable to move with the rubble. After that there was a big earthquake there as if indicating the place will collapse.

Immediately, Sero holds Abara and tells Tohru to hold Ranta and take him out. As the door opened, Tohru became the first to step out as a survivor. While Sero was still feeling inside, he remembered that he had broken the long nail of the Sphinx so he looked for it to retrieve it.

"Mr Cortesius, let's hurry!!" Shouted Tohru worrying about Sero.

Finally after finding what he was looking for, Sero began to run and rushed out of there because the room was almost collapsed. After he came out, the door was automatically closed by itself.

"We're finally safe." Tohru said feeling relieved.

Can they go back to the village?
