Patience has its limits.
Marva walked in carrying Narra who was already asleep on his shoulder, enveloped the girl then kissed her briefly. Noticed again that face that looked sad and exhausted, Narra's tiny lips clenched tightly. Marva moved the banana doll that was near the pillow giving into the little girl's embrace. Narra usually sleeps with the yellow doll.
"Mother. I'll talk to your dad, son. Whatever happens later, Mommy hopes we can face this the same." lirih Marva rubbed Narra's head full of affection.
Walking heartily closed the door slowly so as not to disturb Narra's sleep.
"Huhhh!" sighing prepares the mind to talk to Handi who has been sitting casually on the bed of Handi's private room. Marva stepped up to look at this man late.
"Speak, I don't want to get stale." reproved Handi cold tone even the body still turned its back on Marva. His gaze remained fixed on the window covered in curtains.
"Reverse, it's not good to talk without looking at each other."
"Don't talk too much, talk fast."
Marva tried to get an emotion squeezing her own hand. Aware of being tired of standing for a long time, Marva sat on the edge of the bed against Handi.
Their positions are turned against each other.
"What's your reason for taking Narra to the city park this morning?" tanyanya.
"Isn't that what you want, isn't that Narra's wish. Why are you asking me why?"
"What kind of reason is that. You should realize, you're a father who should make the family happy, taking the child on the road is one way."
"But I'm not happy" he replied lightly.
"Not happy with your daughter, is that what you mean?"
Sandy paused for a moment to think about what she had to say. Clearly, he was happy to see Narra nearby. But why the answer from his mouth was inversely proportional, ahh already already too. He is proud to tell the truth. His egoism is high, "I just feel sorry. He has asked me several times to walk with him. So it just so happens that I have time, I take it a minute."
That answer hit Marva's heart. It turns out that there are men like Handi living in this world. Wiping away the tears that were about to fall, Marva said calmly "Ok. Then what made you leave Narra?"
Heyy, how could he stupidly tell the truth. Sandy will lie again. "I received an important call from the office" he replied briefly. Though in his heart until now he still feels guilty to Narra.
"Why did you forget that there's still Narra you have to look after?"
"I ordered an online taxi, the address went to where we were. Yeah, maybe he's the one who just left. That taxi didn't find Narra, I didn't forget Narra."
"Mas Handi!" hitter Handi turned around to hear Marva scream from behind.
Their gazes clashed. Marva looked at Handi nyalang. The woman walked over to Handi.
"Auhh," Handi rubbed her face as a result of Marva's hand slap was quite hot on the skin, "You slapped me!" spoken. Handi.
"Yes, why. You in pain, dad? What's on your mind, Handi, you're not responsible for your daughter. If you really hate me, but why do you do the same to your own flesh-blood child!" the sob escaped just like that, the slap was the physical form of pent-up emotion all along.
"You know, Handi. Narra walked in the rain during the day, he was cold to walk on footwear, his joints cut off. It was fortunate that Narra was such a smart and brave boy that he thought of looking for a police station. Narra's gone home safely."
"The most important thing is that he's home, right, is with you, right?"
"Handee!" marva's voice rose, "Is that how you feel about Narra?" The tears kept flowing. He continued saying as he pleased, "I know you're lying, Mas Handi."
"Lied, you mean?" The slap was no longer felt. Handi turned his gaze away from the crying Marva, fearing guilt.
"Mas Handi," his voice was blocked in the esophagus. "Honest answer. Whose call did you receive, that made you forget Narra was with you, Mas?" marva said break up. Even minutes he looked at Handi, but the one in the face did not reply at all. Sandy refused to stand up. The man was still faithfully sitting in his place earlier.
"It's Marva, the important thing is now that Narra is with you. There was not the slightest wound on his skin. If it's just about that, it's better to get out of my room. Please!" said Handi cynically.
"Bag,"
"What the hell else?!" Handi snapped at Marva.
"There's one more thing I want to ask you, Mom?"
"Who told me about Lefrando coming to this house on mommy and papi. You right?" the question had finally escaped had also been pent up for how long. Marva returned Handi's cynical gaze, her chin raised reaching out to Handi's body which was taller than her.
"Yes. Let everyone know that you've brought another man into this house."
"Ohhh so is your answer. Now I'm back to asking?" the tears stopped. Today it must be done everything she asks in her heart, Marva does not want to continue speculating on her own without seeking the truth directly from her husband, "Where you are during Narra's illness, you are looking for Franda. Aye right?"
Apparently this woman managed to provoke Handi's emotions. Without a second thought he said a sentence he should not have told.
"You know Marva," Handi grabbed Marva's chin roughly. Marva grimaced with the pain of Handi's hand. "Yes I've been looking for Franda all this time, and I've managed to find her. He's dying now."
"Auhh," Marva grimaced again as Handi put away her hand.
"I've never loved you and Narra, remember that" Handi said.
This is a painful confession for Marva. Now it was heard from Handi's mouth.
"Mas, you told me what you thought was wrong with mami and papi. But you cover up your act of keeping silent looking for another woman from mami and papi. Did you not realize, you were nothing more than pecun,, ahhkk" Marva's words stopped because of Handi's slap on her cheek. Marva stroked the bruised scar to ease the pain there.
"Coward, yes, selfish, yes, yes, yes,,. I just keep my love. That's it, what's wrong, huh!!?" said Handi a loud voice.
"Wrongly, because of your selfish love, you forget there's a love that you should be looking after. Narra needs your love."
"Geek,,!" Handi pulling hair frustrating. "You better get out of my room. Now!"
"I'm not done talking, Mom! Handi drags Marva's body out of the room.
"I haven't, Lepas Mas. Sick it!" Marva whimpers feeling her wrists cramped due to Handi's grip.
"Mas open the door. I'm not done talking, Mas Handii!" In the room Handi did not heed the outside exclamation.
🌹🌹🌹
The sound from outside is no more. Handi looked at his face from the mirror, he really felt messed up right now.
Swiping the cheek from Marva's slap earlier.
"I'm tired of hurting Marva too." Handi said to herself.
Ddrettt ddrett...!
Handi turned to reach for the vibrating phone, "Hello," he felt anxious, this call from Lisa's doctor, this night.
"W-what!" mandi's body decays, his cries just breaking. The news finally arrived.
After being powerful enough to get up, Handi grabbed the car keys from earlier located perfectly above the nightstand, stepping in a hurry.
"Bag,Mas. Where are you going?" Handi did not care about Marva's call, he still stepped towards the car in the garage.
"My jawab. Where are you going, mas?" Marva knocks on Handi's car door but the car keeps walking out the gate leaving Marva and her crying.
Ting..!
Marva reached into the cell phone from inside the same dress pocket as earlier this afternoon.
Read a message from Lisa's doctor.
"Gosh my god." Marva shut her own mouth to read the sad news from Lisa's doctor, she could not say a word anymore.
Without them knowing. There was a tiny body still quietly peering out of the window of his room. He cried watching the scene from below, his father left his mother, went somewhere.
That's what he knows.
