Pick up Devara

The following days, Rey began to move as an assistant to Mr. Wibie. Starting from monitoring the work of the tailors and the amount of production every day to handling administration and finance.

His hours are more in the store as all the consumers take goods there. However, every day should also take time to the factory which is located about 500 meters from Mr. Wibie's house. Working hours are in accordance with the employees in general, from 8 am to 4 pm.

After work, Rey spends more time by staying in the room. Not feeling, it has been almost two months he became part of the residents of the house Mr. Wibie. While here, Rey has never seen a woman introduced as his wife.

If Mr. Wibie is not in place, the house is inhabited only by Ms. Fat, their domestic assistant. Rey would occasionally approach the middle-aged woman if she felt she needed a friend to talk to. Conversely, the woman also often accompanied Rey in the store if she felt bored alone in the big house.

If Mr. Wibie is off, the situation becomes different. Devara who lives with Omanya everyday will come and stay at this house. He came delivered by his mother Pak Wibie and will be picked up if Mr. Wibie will return to Sumatra. From the results of Rey's observation, the working cycle of Wibie pack is two weeks on and one week off.

Rey already has more than enough money for living expenses in Jakarta. Food, drink and shelter are free. His life is starting to taste good. This situation made Rey remember something.

His main goal was when he ran away from home. Leaving the family is also her mother's preferred lover. His desire to continue college suddenly reappeared.

"Tomorrow I'll talk to Mr. Wibie. May he allow me to work while in college" Rey whispered inwardly. She hoped Wibie would agree.

Although he was also a little hesitant because too often against the man who had one child but Rey was sure, Mr. Wibie would straighten out his desire on this one.

******

If it's off, Rey is a little lazy to move from her room. Like today, he spent time watching the morning news from above his bed. Rey knows if this week Mr. Wibie off but he does not know if the person he is waiting for is already at home.

"Guide me breakfast,"

one chat came in from Mr. Wibie. Rey never contacted him, if he hadn't started.

Rey did not answer that call. Rey asked, Where is he now?

"I'm already home. I'm waiting at the dinner table, yeah!" his orders

Rey got up from her bed while tidying her clothes. Then he immediately went down. Meet the invitation of Mr. Wibie who wants to enjoy breakfast with him.

Sure enough, as soon as Rey entered the house, he saw Mr. Wibie was waiting for him. At the table was served breakfast and a cup of warm drinks for him. Rey didn't see Fat Ma'am. Maybe she was shopping at the market.

"Sit. Let's have breakfast first," take Mr. Wibie as soon as Rey is in the dining room.

Rey sat on the bench closest to her. In front of Wibie.

Fried rice and eggplant, the menu prepared by Bu Fat for breakfast this morning. Rey immediately took the plate that was already on the table and took two rice cobs along with one flat egg and then thrust it on Mr. Wibie. The man accepted with a fluffy smile and a thank you. Rey also took the rice for herself.

"Today we're going to Mom's. Pick up Devara then accompany me to buy her school supplies. You don't have any plans to leave, do you" Whether it's a request or an order, but his tone is so flat.

Rey did not reply, as she was still waiting for the man to continue his cut words. The first bribe went into his mouth and he chewed it slowly.

"Devara this year wants to enter the Play group, he already really wants to go to school" he continued.

"Well, sir," Rey replied briefly.

Despite working with Mr. Wibie for a long time, their communication is only limited to work. The report that Rey sends every day via WA messages is only read by Mr. Wibie, rarely he responds.

At the time of meeting in person, Mr. Wibie told me more about something, except that one. The mystery of the name Devara or the wife of Mr. Wibie. No one has given Rey any information. Rey also didn't want to find information about it.

"What time's up, sir?" Rey asked before she bribed back the food that was already at the end of her lips.

"After this," the man replied briefly.

Rey grins. He only realized that Mr. Wibie had been neat so early. He became ashamed of himself by his condition who was still wearing the clothes he wore to sleep last night.

Presumably Mr. Wibie can catch what Rey has in mind. At once he said, while looking at Rey with a mimic who understood the state of the girl.

"You can take a shower first. Don't be in a hurry,"

"Yes, sir," Rey said, nodding her head slowly.

*********

A moment later, Rey had already appeared before Wibie in neat clothes. Wibie, who had been ready since then, immediately entered his black lexus and sat behind the wheel. Not to forget he also opened the side door so that Rey sat beside him.

They left the house accompanied by a smile and a wave of the hand of Bu Fat.

"Sir, is there a lecture schedule that is only Saturday and Sunday only?" tanya Rey ventured when the car they were driving had darted on the highway that was quite stretched. In Rey's heart of hope, Mr. Wibie does not know if he asks this question just a pleasantries.

Rey is not a stupid child, he knows for sure that many campuses are opening lectures on Saturday and Sunday.

Wibie did not immediately reply, he glanced at the girl beside him and then revealed his distinctive smile.

"Do I have to answer that question?" he said and asked back.

"You're this. Look for a little smart question. I'm sure you don't really want to ask that, do you?" his smile re-expands.

"Yes, sir. He.he..," Rey is so embarrassed that the mind can be easily read by Mr. Wibie.

"I know, your desire to go to college is still passionate. For that, I've been looking for some campus references for you,"

An unexpected response made Rey almost jump from her seat. He was so happy, apparently Mr. Wibie still remembered very well what was the purpose of his life.

"In the back seat there are several campus brochures in the East Jakarta area. Take it, you can choose the major you're interested in!"
