Sick Mom

Leo and Dhira arrive in front of a house. Leo pulled Dhira's hand slowly towards the courtyard of the house.

"How's it?" Ask Leo.

"How's what? Whose house is this?" Ask Dhira.

"Do you like this house?"

Dhira did not answer. He looked at Leo in wonder.

"This is our home. I've bought it. Intentionally designing our house is not terraced. So that our children do not fall later. Also so that you are not too tired to go up and down the stairs later."

"You're too excited. Why is it too hunting."

"Didn't you like this house?"

"Like. Besides the large design is unique and looks comfortable."

"From today this house is yours. Tomorrow we go to the notary to confirm it. I'm making this house certificate in your name."

"Why?"

"Kok why? Of course because I love you. Look, this is your house. Our house."

"Leo, don't do this. I don't want to take anything from you before we get married. So, I'm rejecting this house." Dhira Tegas.

"Husss.I told you this is our home. I just do it in your name. And you can stay here even if we're not married."

"I don't want to. Tomorrow I won't sign. If we have to, it will happen after we get married. Don't talk about this anymore, we better go home now 'cause I'm hungry."

Leo took a long breath. He had expected that Dhira would not. But still try. "Well already. We'll wait until that time comes."

"Hehehe..kok limp so." Dhira pokes Leo's waist.

"Huhhh.it's hard to take your heart."

"Akh of course I won't give you my heart. I can die if my heart is broken." Dhira laughs. He likes to tease Leo.

"It's up to you."

"I'm rambling him.try looking at his face. Hahaha.you're ugly if you pout like this. Like a duck laying eggs." Dhira pulls Leo's cheek.

Leo smiled. He could at least be angry at Dhira. I don't know at any moment. After upsetting her heart, the girl here was always smart to restore her good mood again.

They arrived at the restaurant. Leo and Dhira ate voraciously.

Suddenly Dhira's phone rang.

"Mother?" Mumbled Dhira saw his mother's name on the mobile phone screen.

"Hello Mother."

"Sir Dhira, this is Bali's uncle." Uncle Bali is his martial arts teacher. He is called Bali uncle because he is Balinese.

"Oh yes uncle. How's uncle doing?"

"good. Look son, there's a little news that uncle wants to tell you."

"What's the matter uncle? Mother where?" For some reason the feeling of Dhira arrived was not good. His mother dislikes telling someone.

"Your mother's in the hospital. Uncle and aunt are now in Liwa accompanying your mother."

"Huh? What's?" Dhira's face that had just been beaming instantly turned frantic. Even her tears were unstoppable again. "haks..." Dhira sobbed "is mother a bad uncle?"

"You better go home first. Your mother needs intensive care"

"Hiks please uncle, take care of my mother. I'm going home. Thank you uncle." Dhira turned off the phone and hurriedly put the phone in his bag while crying.

"What's Andhira?" Leo also stood up to follow Dhira.

"My mom's sick. I have to go home."

"Come on. We're going home now."

"You'd better go home. I have to leave right now." Dhira wiped away her tears.

"I'll accompany you."

"That's impossible. You've got a lot of work to do. What about the company?"

"That could be handled by Papi and Kim. Anyway I'm coming."

Dhira did not listen much to Leo as he had already stepped away.

Quickly Leo took four hundred thousand pieces of money and put them on the table. With a run he caught up with Dhira.

"But Leo, you can't come."

"Why is it impossible? I'm going with you."

Dhira can't fight anymore. Actually, he really needs a private vehicle in order to travel faster.

While Dhira takes the supplies to his house, Leo has Kim deliver some of his clothes.

All are short. Even Dhira did not change clothes to catch up with the time before the ship's departure. Only a few dozen minutes left to reach Merak port.

Dhira lets Leo drive. When he reached the new Lampung he took over. The road to West Lampung regency is quite extreme with mountains and valleys that winding quite sharp. Especially to the location of Liwa general hospital.

And it's true. After entering Bukit Kemuning, they have passed several times the winding road is quite sharp. Dhira eloquently passed the road without nervous though many times they passed by a large vehicle like Fuso which requires him to more succumb to the side of the road.

Leo deeply regrets that the situation is not right to have fun. Though he really enjoyed the trip and the green scenery, the vast expanse of coffee plantations cover the top of the mountain peak up to the lowest valley. Cold and cool air increasingly feels wrapped in the body and fresh wind feels penetrating the lungs.

Dhira like being chased by a ghost carrying a car. Plunge the gas continues with an observant eye not spared from the road and rearview. Although he was driving, but his mind was struggling to think about his mother.

Three months ago, he knew his mother was not well. But when asked, Amelia said only colds and the common cold. He sent his mother to the hospital for a health check. But his mother said there was nothing. Just the season and the cold.

Had argued also to persuade his mother to move to Jakarta as well. But his mother was unwilling. Reasons not to feel at home in hot areas, still want to work in the garden, more comfortable in the countryside. Not knowing how much more to persuade her mother, Dhira chose to give up.

But if this is the case, however, he must succeed in persuading his mother to come with him. So that he can take care of and control his mother's health by staying at work.

"Uncle, how's mom doing?" Dhira and Leo have arrived in RSUD Alimuddin Umar in western Lampung.

"Your mother is conscious. And now I'm still sleeping." Uncle Bali and his wife named Ayunda welcomed Dhira with a directed look at Leo.

"Can I go inside? I want to see Mom."

"Can. But don't wake her up on purpose. Your mother's energy hasn't recovered. Still limp as a result of enduring his pain." Reply Ayunda uncle's wife Bali.

"What kind of sick mother is Bi?"

"Your mother has kidney disease. The consequences of the transplant he had done made him now bear it. Your mother once donated her kidney." Answer Ayunda.

"What's? Did you ever donate his kidney? When?" Dhira who knew nothing was shocked.

Uncle Bali let out a long sigh, "Yes. Your mother donated her kidney when you were four years old. Your mother kept this a secret from all of us. Just yesterday we found out from the doctor who handled it."

Dhira's whole body is limp. His chest felt in the crumb hearing that reality. "So all this time the mother survived with all the responsibilities and work with only one kidney? Huh, why? Why does it have to be like that?" Dhira was dazed and almost fell down. His feet did not feel so weak.

Leo swiftly caught Dhira's body. "Andhira, who is patient. You have to stay strong in order to overcome this situation." Whisper Leo after hugging his girl and give a soft pat on her back.

Unknowingly, Dhira's tears had washed down her cheeks. How he felt stupid all this time to let his mother work with conditions that are not possible. How he did not respond to the condition of his mother who was very easily tired and easily feverish. Regret wrapped around his heart with an unspeakable sadness. Why should such a situation be experienced by them. Besides having no one, they are not money people who can provide a lot of money to overcome Amelia's disease.

'Relax Dhira, calm down. If you are also sick then how to treat your mother.' As she gained new strength, Dhira strengthened herself. She wiped her tears and pulled away from Leo's embrace. "I want to see Mom first."

With steady steps, Dhira opened the door of the room where her mother was in care. In the room were six beds lined with other patients. He approached his mother's bed, which was not accompanied by anyone.

Weary and pale face of Amelia who fell asleep. Although slumbering but weak look and withstand the pain on the face remains visible. Dhira could not hold back her crying anymore. He sobbed stifled with his palm covering his mouth. The swift tears that poured signify how deep he moaned to see the condition of his mother.

Long enough he cried stifled until he made her hiccup. Even his eyes were swollen and red. He sat pensively beside the bed with both hands clasping his mother's palm.

His brain was spinning thinking of how to treat his mother. What he knows if someone has donated one of his kidneys, and finally got a weak condition or pain due to the effects of donation then one solution is to do kidney planting again. Can he support his mother? He could find a kidney for his mother. It certainly doesn't cost a little. Even if he sold his mother's land and housing plus all his savings wouldn't be enough. Then what should he do? Borrowing? Who would lend him a lot of money? Even if Bali's uncle lends it, the value will not be enough. His only hope is his own kidney. Hopefully it is suitable so that the costs needed are not too large.

"Dhira?" The voice she always missed called her name.

"Mother? Is she awake?"

"When did you arrive? Did Bali's uncle tell you? Mother has forbidden it. I'm just a little less healthy."

Dhira's heart was like being pierced hard hearing his mother's words. What was he for if his mother could not rely on him?

"Mom, don't mind too much. I'm there for mom. I'm your son. Don't take everything for yourself."

"Ah why? I will be healthy again. You must be so tired. Forcing myself to go home impromptu." Amelia rubbed her daughter's arm affectionately.

"No. Your son is strong. You forget who made me strong? That's mother. I miss Mom." He hugged his mother.

"Hem. Mom too. It was only six months ago that we met." After Andhira graduated, he had time to go home before applying for work.

"Mom should calm down, don't mind much. Whatever the doctor says, the mother must obey. I'd be very sad if Mom didn't care about Mom's own health. Anyway, I have to promise, whatever the doctor says I have to do."

"It depends. If it goes against our will time has to be done?"

"It will not be opposite. I cannot argue. For Mom's health so we can be together longer in the future. Wouldn't want to play with your grandchildren later. Scolding them and teaching them to be good children like my mother taught me. For that to happen, you must be healthy first."

"As far as age is God's secret, dear. Though we desire, the one who decides is He Who is All-Powerful."

"Yes. But it has to be from Mom first."

"Yes. I understand that. Ask the doctor when I can go home? I don't feel at home in the hospital. Make the spirit disappear. Especially when my son comes home like this."
