Have Died

Dhira retreated, he sat in the long chair available there. Waiting very agitatedly. After sitting for about five minutes, he got up again to see Leo coming out the door. His eyes looked at Leo with a suspicious look.

Leo approached Dhira. "Mommy wants to talk to you in person."

Dhira. His mind immediately guessed the wrong thing.

"Don't worry. Mama's fine. He said something had to be told you."

Dhira. With his heart beating faster, he walked into Meli's room.

His eyes were immediately fixed on the lying Meli. The woman closed her eyes, but from the water her face did not sleep.

Dhira's legs drew closer, after reaching closer to Meli, he stopped. I wanted to say something, but it felt like his mouth was hard to open.

Meli felt someone was beside her. Open his eyes slowly. Eyes that are usually sharp and always excited are now dim and dim. His face was also pale as bloodless. His mouth also looked dry and difficult to move. His eyes glanced towards Dhira.

Their views meet each other. A few seconds later, Dhira advanced even closer.

"Ma-af.me..have," Meli stopped. He was seen trying to swallow his saliva but it was so difficult that his chin had to be raised slightly.

"Yes. I'm not gonna remember that. I just want my mom." Dhira says his wish. Honestly, he also felt sorry to see Meli's condition. Enough for him, Meli said her mother's whereabouts. The others will not count it anymore. That's why his face is more friendly.

Meli smiled stiffly. Then he looks grimacing while holding his breath.

"Mom, please just tell me where my mom is." Dhira lowered his body with a very hopeful face.

Meli opened her mouth. The woman had a hard time moving her tongue. "D-he..mmaa.ssihh..." Meli stops. He was exhausted and like shortness of breath.

Dhira is like an extraordinary thirsty waiting for the end of Meli's sentence. Very eager to find out soon, but can not force the state of Meli. His own heart did not have the heart to see the condition of Meli.

Meli nodded slightly with a look of eyes staring at the warming Dhira. "Hhhiddupp."

Dhira breathes a sigh of relief. His hands raised rubbed against his chest because what he feared did not happen. But still confused because he did not know where his mother was.

"Can I tell you where my mom is?" Ask Dhira carefully. He also looked hard at the condition of Meli. But no one held back from wanting to know where her mother was.

Meli. "Di-a with or-rang others." Meli took her breath even until her chest went inwards. Then he looked troubled as he let out the air that had just gathered in his lungs.

Meli opened her mouth to speak but it seemed like her voice could not come out. He frowned so he could make a sound. But his attempt failed. He even coughed. Along with her cough a slightly blackish blood came out from her nose. Then it appeared again from his mouth. He was seen breathing faltered with the more fluid that came out.

"Akhs! Why this?" Dhira confused to see the condition of Meli. "Mother Meli?" He wanted to raise Meli's head but hesitated.

"Leo!!! Loooo...!!" Shouted Dhira while running to the door. Opening the door, but just holding the handle, Leo opened the door.

As soon as the door opened, Leo had already walked in and ran inwards. Hearing Dhira's cry, he already got a bad premonition.

"Mii...Mommy..." Leo shrugged Meli's shoulders above her arms. The blood was so much that it even flooded his neck.

"Doctor! Doctor!! Please...!" Shouted Leo with a trembling voice holding back the cry.

"Mamiii.don't do this! Please hold on!" Leo's cry broke. He could not bear to see Meli's condition.

The woman's still spasm. Blood still flows from his nose and mouth.

The woman's hand moved touching Leo's face with watery eyes. His mouth that was still bleeding open was like he wanted to say something. But the slightest sound could no longer come out of that mouth. His hand that was already holding Leo's cheek sagged and fell down. While his head fell limp with a down position.

"Mamiyii..." Screeched Leo. The head of Meli who was helpless. The woman no longer tried to breathe. But it's resigned. His pale face was now turning blue.

From where she stood, Dhira could not help but hold back her tears even though there was no sound of crying from her mouth. His mind stopped and his chest hurt.

The doctor and nurse entered in a hurry. "Let's check first."

Leo's backwards. His face was flooded with tears. She was very afraid something would happen to her mother.

"The patient has died." The doctor said after several tests.

Leo is like a dazed man. The news that reached him from yesterday gave him good hope. Especially after hearing from Kim her mom did not experience depression anymore. I can talk as well as usual, even though stammering.

But why did it arrive like this? Only healthy for two days, then died.

Dhira did not know he wanted to do and say anything. He just stood with a gaze to the bed where Meli's body was. He also did not expect the woman to be so quickly finished from this world. Without feeling her tears flooding her cheeks.

Without saying anything, with a limp body, Dhira backed out of the room. He was holding on to the door so as not to fall. From the door he saw Leo's shaky shoulders. He knew the man was crying without a sound.

Wanted to embrace the man who was the victim again but his legs could not move. Precisely retreating away from the room and leaving carried the confusion in his heart.

***

Meli's body arrived at Atmaja's residence. News of grief spread quickly and many people have come to visit. Neighbors, acquaintances and family.

Leo, Rudy and a few others were standing near the chest. They held the event as they believed to send the deceased Meli to the final resting place.

Among the people dressed in all black, a girl also stood with a sad face. He wore a long black dress to his shoes. It was Dhira. He still came to mourn for Meli.

"Who died? Why bring me here?" Ara asked with a confused face.

"The woman who gave birth to you. Are you not sad?" Dhira's face was stiff, with a weak look in his eyes. Not usually violent.

"The woman who gave birth to me? How can? My mother died from my birth." Answer Ara lightly. Ara doesn't understand.

"Your mother's been alive all along. If she didn't die today, maybe you don't know your mother's ready." Dhira answered with a sigh. His face was no longer as stiff as before.

"Huh? How could? How do you know she's my mom?"

"Leo is your brother. And the man standing to his right is Rudy Atmaja your father. Go over there! Before it's too late. If Meli's buried, then your whole life you'll never see her again." Dhira pushed Ara slowly. While Ara walked with legs poking each other because it was not her will to walk.

Ara looked back several times, looking at Dhira's face in confusion. His eyes narrowed, not understanding yet.

"Go over there! Look at him one last time." Dhira continued to push Ara.

Although Ara did not understand the truth, she walked up to the chest surrounded by many people. His feet stopped when he saw the face lying inside the chest. His eyes glared at the woman he disliked for her arrogance, stiffened with a face and turning blue. Now he understands that the deceased is Leo's mother.

Suddenly he remembered the words of Dhira who said, the woman who gave birth to him.

Ara knelt beside the chest. Both of his hands were on the edge of the chest looking at that lifeless face again. There was no reaction from his face, except for his eyes that continued to look at Meli.

"Hiks hix Araaaa..." Leo's cry broke as soon as he saw his sister Ara already beside him was looking at their mother. He hugged his sister with increasingly loud cries.

"Huuu..uu.u.u...hu.u.u.u.u..." Leo's cry broke. He hugged Ara and kissed her head. "My sister, this is our mother..."

Likewise with Rudy, once he saw Leo hugging a girl he called Ara, he immediately rushed to embrace Ara as well.

"My son.my daughteruuu...huuu..."

Everyone in the room came crying to hear the cries of two men they knew so well with faces full of question marks towards Ara.

Ara's tears flowed down her cheeks. Without excuse the water was crammed continuously with a confused feeling. He was crying not sad because the corpse beside him but hypnotized by the cries of Rudy and Leo. It was like being carried away by the current feeling how the two men were feeling.

Dhira who was behind people's backs slightly felt relieved to have done the right thing. Actually his egoism still dominates him to trouble the Leo family. But her heart won to enlighten her brain, bringing Ara out to meet her real family. Although Meli has made a big mistake but the woman is gone. Other family members were victims and received only injuries. That's what he's thinking.

Once out of the hospital, Dhira immediately thought to Ara. At that time he also told Bali uncle to bring Ara to his home. That's why Ara arrived at the funeral home.

At dusk, the burial was completed well. The drizzling weather made the atmosphere even more sad. It was as if shepherding Leo's indescribable feelings. Now live the nuclear family who are still loyal standing next to the wet belly button Meli. Leo unceasingly rubbed his face which was still filled with tears.

"Have Son. Everything has happened. This is what we have to accept." Rudy patted Leo's back slowly. The man looked stronger and was not too sad anymore.

Leo sniffles. Many things make him sad. Especially for everything her mother did during her life. He never thought their life would be like this. Very messy and painful. Coupled with the age of her mother who is only limited to forty-three years.

"This is a lesson for us. Do not be greedy and have love and wisdom in your heart." Rudy looked at Ara who was standing beside Leo. The girl only spoke a thousand languages. Only his eyeballs moved during the burial procession.

Stared at by Rudy, making Ara blink while taking a step back. His face was covered in confusion. He did not understand what he had heard. It feels strange and unbelievable.

"My daughter, it's Papi." Rudy advanced.

Ara is retreating. No welcome from him. It was like rejecting what Rudy said.

Leo also stepped towards Ara. "Yes Ara, we are your family. We've been separated since you were born." Said Leo in a loud voice. Even her tears were not dry.

Ara shook her head hard. While his legs increasingly quickly do not want to be reached by two men who arrived to confess his family.

"Mom!" John's voice caught their attention. The man has been there since. From his place he watched Meli who had entered the grave, while watching Ara as well.

"Sister Jhon..." Ara ran towards Jhon. Her crying was very loud. But just a few steps away from Jhon, he stopped and looked at the man with an angry look. His brain immediately imagined that Jhon and Robert had been deceiving him all this time.

Jhon ran to catch Ara. In his hand tightly Ara's hand so as not to get away from him. "I'm sorry I couldn't find you. It seems they have tortured you. Look at your body so thin and pale."

"Let go!" Ara's voice trembled with her teeth. She was crying and angry. He encouraged John to stay away from him.

"Son, don't go back there. We're your family. Let us live together to make up for all our lost time." Rudy half ran over to Ara.

"Stop! No one comes near. I don't know any of you." Ara looked at the three men with hatred in a row. He was so angry that only a cry came out of his mouth.

"Ara, I've been trying to find you everywhere but they've been so cunning that I couldn't find you. Now, let's go home. I won't let them hurt you again. We're going home to Papi." Jhon also tried to bring Ara.

"I'm not with anyone!" Shouted Ara. "You are all cheaters! I don't trust you guys!" Ara stepped away from the place.

"Fra! Ara! Wait!" They called the girl. But Ara didn't bully them. He kept running out of the cemetery.

While the three men ran after Ara who was getting further away. But Ara ran very fast.

Incidentally when he reached the side of the road a car passed by and he stopped the car. Then it was lost in that car.

In the car Ara was crying. Confused about his own life. Who he should trust. Who exactly is he. At once angry at Dhira who turned out to be the perpetrator in his confinement. He had been aware of that since arriving at Dhira's house.
