Meet with Jack

Lewis's footsteps stopped when he saw that a sandstorm was coming. Unlike the sandstorms he faced before, this time Lewis will face a bigger sandstorm.

Seeing that there was a hill not far from where he was, Lewis immediately ran there and entered a cave to avoid a market storm that could burn his skin.

Sure enough, not long after taking refuge in a cave like sand directly hit the area with a fierce even to cause a flash of lightning in the sky.

While waiting for the sandstorm to subside Lewis chose to sleep in order to save his energy. Until when the storm had subsided Lewis went straight out of the cave to continue his journey.

Today was the seventh day Lewis set foot in the Eternal world and he was still in the barren wilderness alone.

The scorching sun made Lewis stop for a drink. With his dry lips, Lewis slowly drank a not so much water supply.

While drinking accidentally Lewis found an eagle that was lying limp on the ground due to lack of water, even seen some vultures began to approach him.

Feeling unbearable, Lewis then approached the eagle and drove some vultures using his wooden stick.

Lewis who was about to give a drink to the eagle unexpectedly his hand was immediately pecked by the bird until it was torn and bleed.

As a result of the eagle patting the water bottle in Lewis' hands fell, making half the water in it spill free.

Lewis quickly tried to save his water supply, which was left very little for the next few days.

Lewis stared intently at the dying eagle and said, "If you want to stay alive, take care of your attitude!"

The eagle who understood Lewis' words finally according to when the man gave him a drink until the water supply was completely exhausted.

Lewis then took out three last pieces of protein bread to give to the eagle and let the bird spend it.

A packet of rations filled with chicken curry rice Lewis took out for him to eat. But when it was about to eat the chicken curry ration, the eagle who had little energy then seized it and ate it.

Seeing the eagle that he helped actually snatch his last meal, the corner of Lewis' lips twitched and did not understand the way the creature thought.

"Is this how you repay the kindness of someone who helped you? Huh... Just enjoy the food, goodbye..." Lewis let out a long sigh and left the eagle enjoying his lunch.

The eagle, which saw Lewis leaving, took a moment to watch the man before finishing his meal because he was very hungry.

With a step that had been limping Lewis convinced himself to keep walking because he saw on the map that the distance to the nearest city was only fifty kilometers away.

While on the road, Lewis was suddenly visited by an eagle that he had helped. With an annoyed look Lewis looked towards the eagle.

"What else do you want, I don't have any more food for you?" Lewis asked as he looked at the bird that had a wingspan of 2.5 meters in front of him.

The eagle, who understood Lewis' words, shook his head and placed one rabbit on the ground to give it to Lewis.

"What's that rabbit for me?" Lewis asked the eagle while pointing to himself to be sure.

Lewis hesitantly took the dead rabbit and ate it without cooking it first, given the limitations of the equipment he had.

After finishing the rabbit given by the eagle, Lewis slowly stretched out his hand and rubbed the eagle's head which seemed to have begun to tame to him.

Getting a caress from a human in front of him made the eagle feel comfortable, but when he began to fall asleep suddenly Lewis stopped stroking him and walked away.

As if Lewis did not want to leave, the eagle immediately bit and pulled Lewis's clothes from behind.

Lewis' clothes were pulled by an eagle then turned around. "What's wrong? You want to come with me?" Lewis asked in surprise when he saw the eagle's attitude.

"Kiep-kiakk!!!" Screaming the eagle while nodding before flying and perched on Lewis' shoulders which clearly felt quite heavy.

"Hey-hey, you are an adult and not a child anymore. Look at your size..." Said Lewis who slightly objected when the eagle perched on his shoulder.

Actually the eagle understood what Lewis had just said, but he chose to ignore him and but perched on the man's shoulder.

Feeling no other choice, Lewis finally let the eagle perch on his shoulders and continue the journey, until a notification sound from the System suddenly appeared.

[ KING! The side mission of rescuing and taming the starving eagle was completed. A reward of 10 System points has been added! ]

Getting a notification from the System instantly made Lewis feel very happy. He immediately opened the shop menu and looked for potions to heal the wounds in his hands.

But when looking at the price of the cheapest healing potion has a price of 100 system points, making Lewis finally can only buy a bandage with a price of 10 system points to bandage the wound in his hand.

"It's so sad, I'm really poor right now..." Lewis's sigh as he wrapped the wound in his hand using a bandage.

None of this is what Lewis imagined. Lewis thought to get system points would be very easy, but it was very difficult and requires extra energy to get them.

This is not like in the game, when the character helps other creatures it will get a lot of exchange points easily.

Lewis let out a long sigh and felt unable to really equate all of this with the game he had played while still on earth.

Unwilling to remain silent and wait for his death in the barren wilderness, Lewis reassured himself and immediately set foot again.

Lewis's trip this time seems a lot easier than before. With the eagle he named Jack as his colleague once was, Lewis's journey was greatly helped by his presence.

Jack willingly hunts for food for himself and Lewis, but enough for them to eat once a day.

The relationship between the two is getting closer and makes the two become partners who seem to be connected to each other.

Although several times the two had a fight, but quickly Lewis and Jack can get along again.
