After sitting together in the front room and chatting as usual, the next conversation was conveyed by Mr. Guus to the Sumiarsih and Hanan Juragan, related to the incident between Ki Praja and Mang Dirman yesterday afternoon.

"Uummhhh, I people think it's just a misunderstanding and their personal affairs both people" concluded the Dutch man at the end of the speech. "But .. I am a person, apologizing for the incident yesterday afternoon. We people hope, your side people are willing to forgive us the mistake Ki Praja people."

Hanan and her mother looked at each other for a moment, then threw a smile at Mr. Guus and Miss Roosje. "Earlier than Mr. Guus came to the guest, we have understood and forgiven the incident, Gentlemen," the young man said, representing the family and Mang Dirman himself. "We also apologise for it. My mother and I talked about something that happened yesterday that afternoon together. As a result, the concerned can receive it with a chest roomy. But ... coincidentally, Mang Dirman is not here at the moment," added the only son of the late Juanda King, "because he is shepherding our horses. Isn't that right, Mom?"

The Sumiarsih scribe replied briefly, "That's fine, gentlemen."

Mr. Guus and Ms. Roosje smiled happily at the reply from the Sumiarsih Juragan family.

"Ah, thank goodness then," said Mr. Guus still accompanied by a certain look at his mother Hanan. "That's what I've always admired from you people, Sumiarsih."

"But now, that Mang Dirman is fine, isn't it, Hanan?" ask Miss Roosje to speak. Just like Mr. Guus, this woman, from the beginning, sat there together, always looking closely at Hanan. Admiration and deburan love increasingly terpatri strong.

"Alhamdulillah, Miss. Mang Dirman is healthy. God willing," Hanan replied not wanting to be frank about Mang Dirman's true condition. Especially related to last night, the old coachman of his family fell unconscious. Imbuh the young man then, "Of course ... as one of the health workers, I will always take care and take good care of him."

"Aahhh .. I just remembered that, Young Man!" mister Guus shouted suddenly after hearing Hanan's last words just now. "I already know from this my son Roos, if you're Hanan .. have completed that medical education, huh? So ... This is good news also for you Young People, I have asked the central government for a request, so that you people are assigned to work in this area of Kedawung Village."

Hanan and Juragan Sumiarsih were surprised. "Ah, is that true, sir?" ask the young man. In fact, he had previously sent a letter of submission to serve on the related party. "It's very nice to hear that, sir." He turned to his mother for a moment, greeted by a sudden reaction from the figure of the woman.

replied Mr. Guus proudly, "Of course, Young Man. Maybe in the next few days, you people have received a reply letter from the central government en I am sure, that the result must be good. He-he."

"Alhamdulillah ..." murmured Hanan and her mother increasingly feel cramped. The look on Mr. Guus and Ms. Roosje saw both of them. "Thank you, Mister. We're very happy. Hopefully, I'm actually placed on duty in this Kedawung Village area."

Reply Mr. Guus reassured, "Ja ... wel, we people do need health workers here, right?" he said with a friendly smile. "For, I think that's the most important thing. I people also see, it's the health worker who is now, is old. That's why I asked the central government directly, once you know you're a young doctor, heh."

"Yes, sir, yes. Thank you for the attention of Mr. Guus," Hanan said again, happy-mouthed.

To steal the attention, Roosje also returned to provide input. He told the figure of his father, "Then, how about tomorrow Hanan can be on duty, Papa? While waiting for a reply from the central government. Is that okay?"

The Dutch man was shocked. Didn't expect to get such a response from her son. "Aahhh, what a good idea, Roos. Papa likes it you people have. Wat een goed ide!' praise Mr. Guus.

(Good idea!)

"Ummhh, but Mr. .. is it not better to wait for the letter of assignment first. At least, it will follow the proper rules," Hanan said somewhat objected.

Again, Mr. Guus tried to highlight his authority so that it could look good in the eyes of the Sumiarsih Juragan family. He said quickly, "About that, you people don't worry, Young man." He glanced for a moment at Hanan's mother. "I'm the one who will bear that responsibility. What can't a Guus Van Der Kruk do, huh? I'm sure people will be able to help. Ha-has. Isn't that right, Sumiarsih?"

The woman's face looked shocked. He glanced first at Hanan, his son, then replied slowly without deigning to return Master Guus' gaze. "All decisions, I leave them to my son, sir," he said slowly. "I believe that whatever Hanan will do, it will be for the common good. Yeah, right, kid?"

"God willing, son. I will always pray for you" replied Juragan Sumiarsih softly.

Master Guus smiled to himself at the attitude of the two figures in front of him. He was increasingly convinced that the woman he had always hoped for, would trust him even more. Then slowly, it will open the heart as before.

'Hhmmm, just a few steps away, I will definitely get back your love, Sumiarsih, ' his father Roosje muttered with confidence. 'Just look, a Guus Van Der Kruk will never give up on getting what he wants. Including you people of course. He-he-he.'

Their conversation then began to turn to the offer of cooperation plantation owned by the family of Juragan Sumiarsih. Especially for land that has long been abandoned since the death of Juragan Juanda a few years ago.

For that one problem, both Hanan and his mother, have not been able to decide quickly. They must negotiate first with several parties. Especially in the middle of the dry season that is sweeping like that. The main thing is of course the irrigation factor that is being controlled by Mr. Guus himself.

"Uummhhh, I know people," said the tall Dutch man, responding to the concerns felt by the Sumiarsih Juragan family. "Irigation is intended for local residents, but only in the form of assistance. Not gifts. That means, I am a person who is authorized in this region, entitled to also impose its own rules, which is to regulate," he said trying to express an opinion. "While the source of water flow is there, a little. So in this case, I want to put it first for the government's land needs. The rest, if available, is also for the surrounding citizens."

"The problem isn't just that, sir," Hanan said trying to explain. "Since my father died, no one else has been able to take care of our plantation land. Almost all workers choose to quit, because we are no longer able to give them a decent wage." For a moment, he turned to his mother who did not speak much during their meeting. "Eat him for a while, we just focus on taking care of the rest of the land to meet the needs of our lives."

Mr. Guus also offered another collaboration, namely that some of the workers on his plantation would be seconded to reopen the land owned by the Sumiarsih who were not managed earlier. Of course it is accompanied by calculations and rules of its own alias are not free. " … How, Young man? Are you willing to accept this plan?" ask the man at the end of his explanation.

"Thank you for the offer, sir," Hanan replied with his apology. "But as we have said earlier, we apologize, once again .. we will consider it first."

"Ah, why think again, Young man? It's a good offer and I don't give this any help at all" replied Mr. Guus. "Not everyone can get it, except because I see the family as Juanda's people in life."

Roosje wanted to restrain her father from pressing, but speaking directly in front of Hanan and Juragan Sumiarsih, was certainly not a good way. He did not want to demean Mr. Guus' honor just like that, but still wanted to be conscious. So subtly, the girl rubbed the man's arm without saying a word.

Mr. Guus turned his head for a moment and looked at the girl smiling.

"Ah, it looks like we people have to go home soon," he said then after interpreting Roosje's attitude just now. "There are still other tasks that I have people to complete immediately."

Hanan and Juragan Sumiarsih nodded. The two quickly rose to follow Mr. Guus and Roosje who were about to leave the house.

"It's great to see you back, Sumiarsih" the man said before stepping off the stage of Juragan Sumiarsih's home.

The same with Roosje when saying goodbye to Hanan, "I hope, our meeting will continue, Hanan."

The child and mother replied with a friendly smile and said, "Thank you for the visit of Master and Miss to our house. Also for the help that has been given."

Then escorted by Gert who from the beginning came just standing guard in front of the house, Mr. Guus and Roosje immediately boarded their sado. While Ki Praja himself never got off the riding vehicle.

Secretly the old man who controlled sado grinned wryly, looking at the Sumiarsih Dragon from a distance. 'Crazy ... still beautiful only that woman, ' she muttered. 'It is fitting that the Dirman is still at home and becomes a snob in this family. He was hoping to get the widow. Ha-ha-ha!'

While Juragan Sumiarsih actually did not want to even see the presence of Ki Praja figure since the beginning he came. Always look down or turn your eyes in the other direction, as long as it is not on the man.

What the hell is this really? It seems that the two different types of human figures are both harboring their own secrets.
