Rainy Aroma
Welcoming the future

Briella turned to sit on the edge of Aurora's nursery bed, her hands outstretched gently rubbing her twin sister's head with great affection.

"Is he okay too?" ask Briella suddenly.

"Huh?" aurora didn't understand.

"That's in there." replied Briella.

"W-what?! K-you're"

"No need to be so surprised."

"Is Anna also complaining to you about this?"

Briella nodded. Aurora didn't think how could Anna be that bucket! This is already too much.

"But actually I knew it even long before Anna told me."

Aurora frowned in surprise at Briella's confession.

"You're a careless girl. Leaving the pregnancy test kit is also a photo of USG just like that on your dresser. I accidentally saw him when I was about to borrow something from your room."

How could Briella have kept him all this time? He even treated Aurora as usual, as if nothing had happened.

"So you've known all this time?" Aurora Mummings.

"In addition, your attitude has been strange for the past two months, just like the characteristics of a young pregnant woman."

"Is it too obvious? I tried to hide it as best I could" Aurora seemed to think.

"You hid it from someone who was already a mother. You should have known it would never work. I'm silent not because I don't care, but because I trust you so much. Waiting for you to tell me everything someday."

Aurora did not respond to Briella's remarks, still immersed in her daydream.

"So who?" ask Briella.

"What?" Aurora asked back.

"Father of your baby?"

Aurora fell silent, still hesitating to answer.

"That doesn't matter." in the end it's the answer Aurora gave.

"It doesn't matter how? Of course the man must go to marry you."

"I'm not interested in getting married."

"But you're pregnant."

"Why should? I can take care of this baby alone. I'm gonna go overseas and take care of her there until she grows up."

"Don't be stupid! I'm sure you won't."

"I'm sure I can." Aurora replied insisting.

"Trust me! I've experienced it." Briella still doesn't want to lose.

"Also experiencing a bitter married life? That's why I don't want to get married."

Briella is well aware that Aurora is traumatized after seeing the fate of her mother and twin sister who were hurt by their respective husbands.

"How can you hit everything equally? Not necessarily he'll make you suffer. He might be a good man."

"No one can guarantee that." Aurora replied.

"Don't that be your ex-boyfriend, Aron! Aye, right?" guess Briella still doesn't want to give up.

"Not." said Aurora briefly. "Here we go, for now, we take care of each other's business. After this hospital I'll prepare my departure for overseas."

"I won't let you go pregnant. At least wait until the baby is born."

"I'll still go even if you're against it." Aurora replied stubbornly.

"I told you you wouldn't make it! Do you think being a single parent is easy?"

"What do you mean?" briella asked not to understand.

"Where is your divorce going?"

"What's? How did you know that?"

Aurora restrains her desire to laugh at Briella's surprised look.

"You may not be as careless as I am. But once the alcohol affects you, you instantly turn into a very honest person and start telling everything. You even showed me the divorce papers."

Briella could not speak anymore. It seemed true what Aurora said, they had their respective affairs that needed to be resolved.

"Brie, strengthen your heart. Your decision is correct so don't feel too guilty about Sean. As time goes on Sean will understand."

"Is it like this in the end? The two of us will never find true love and end up in solitude until the end of life. It turned out that we were both exactly the same." murmured Briella glared far away.

"We are not the same. From the beginning I chose not to get married, living the drama of such a complicated married life. Before I did it I gave up first."

"But I'm really curious about the father of the baby you're carrying. What is Galen?"

Actually, Briella is just a guess, but seeing the reaction of Aurora makes Briella sure if her guess is right.

"How can you do that with our client?!" briella couldn't hide her surprise.

"He was not our client yet. Just an ordinary guy in a bar. The day I picked you up to tell you that Sean was in the hospital."

"Ah, that day turned out.." murmured Briella after successfully remembering it.

"Now do you understand why can't I go to marry her? Hold him accountable for his actions. Besides not being interested in married life, I also do not want to ruin the happiness of others. That's why I decided to go abroad, start a new life there."

There was nothing Briella could say but give a warm hug to her twin sister.

"Can I go there too?" briella asked after letting go of their embrace.

"Huh?"

"After this divorce is over, may I follow you there with Sean?"

"of course. Let's come together to welcome a happy future in our own way."

"You're coming? How are you doing? I'm sorry, I haven't been able to visit you to the hospital yesterday because I was busy caring for Galen's ailing grandmother in the next town" said Sarah.

Mina smiled in response to the conversation of her future mother-in-law. "It's okay, Mom. I know you're busy, I'm fine anyway."

"Thank God then."

"Did you go to the company?" asked Mina who could not find Juniar's whereabouts.

"Yes. Just now." reply Sarah.

"I came to meet Galen. She hasn't picked up the phone from me since last night, when I've done it over and over again" Mina said with her lips pursed.

"Galen must be sleeping. Yesterday he came home very late with Mark."

"Then I'll go straight to her room."

Sarah gave her permission.

Mina has been here several times, and sometimes even stayed over, which is why she has become part of their family.

Galen's room door opens. Mina went inside with a slow and careful step, finding Galen sleeping on her stomach on the bed.

"He's really still sleeping apparently." murmured Mina softly. He switched to sitting on the bed.

"Darling, wake up. It's almost noon" said Mina trying to wake Galen with a gentle swipe at the man's head.

Galen wriggled slowly, before finally really getting up.

"You come here? Why didn't you tell me you were gonna be out of the hospital this morning?" ask Galen.
