Chapters 13. What's More Sadistic Than Selfish

The only thing people need when they are tired is rest. Tired of work, or for those who are being pressured by the world. Many of them do not realize that being tired can make a person give up. It ends with a failure they themselves created from a labyrinth trying to play with the mind.

"If Rayyan is tired, Rayyan can rest. What matters is not to push yourself too much, right?! Mother was very worried that Rayyan got sick!"

He heard that sound often from the mouth of his mother. When he strives to do more, or be the best in class. Raina never demanded Ray be the first champion. He just did not want Ray to force himself to study until midnight. Then the next day wake up early and get busy again with studying. His son was already under enough pressure due to his quarrel with Arnold. He didn't want to turn his childhood into a more bleak one.

But it's not Ray if he still can't make his mother proud. He will keep trying. And unfortunately the only person you want to be proud of is gone. Drowning by the earth forever. Nothing will change all that. Although his desire is to bring a smile that he has always been craving. It will never be.

He opened his eyes, his feelings getting better after sleeping for a long time. Even now, the wall clock was already showing at 11 p.m. It's time enough for a new person to wake up from sleep, but he really needs to rest his mind.

The mood is better this time, staying alone is not a bad thing. At least he can calm down.

One smile was etched on his thin lips. One thing he forgot in the last few days, that every morning a smile was a pretty good thing to start the day. Something his parents always ask for when the child is in a bad mood. Smiling and making others laugh will make the day more beautiful. Positive things come on suddenly. And everything will go right. Simple enough for him to do. But Ray is not a child anymore. Good things don't come every time. The opposite even came unexpectedly. But a smile was the most charming thing he had ever seen from his mother.

At least he wanted to do the same thing as Raina did. Because it shows that he really is his son. The son of a Raina who is full of warm smiles and laughter. It wasn't Arnold's son who was full of secrets and a grim life.

Ray stepped closer to the dining table. He took care of the food he had eaten this morning.

"Sepi also lives alone. Shan and the others aren't coming here, are they?!" His voice sounded throughout the room. Even a few seconds later, he could still hear the reflection of his voice. The silence that became a pause from his activities, making sounds from outside he could hear clearly. The sound of birds chirping, or the sound of vehicles passing through the streets. Including...

The sound of footsteps he heard from outside. Ray jumped, set the door. Some people came in haste, standing in the doorway with their roaring gazes.

They all came. Except Rion.

"Hehe, brother...How come you're here?! Suddenly, I didn't say either. What's up?! Want arisan or want to buy me a myriad of snacks?!"

Yes know. That's Ray, the guy who doesn't know the time to make his mark. Even the five people who had entered the apartment had already shown their ferocious gazes. Unlike him who still shows a series of white teeth.

"What lo?! Want to make another fuss with me?! Anyway I don't want to know, anyway I have to get food until the worms in my stomach are full!" Karel was sitting at the dining table.

"Why is it still there?! Cepetan, I'm laper!!"

Ray breathed his breath. Within seconds, the apartment was more crowded than the house.

The house feels lonely, even the room feels empty. There was a slight regret when Rion recalled his debate with Ray. It wasn't Ray who was wrong if he decided to leave. It was only Rion who did not want to understand. He doesn't know what it's like to be like Ray. All he thinks about when Ray leaves is his once again bleak world filled with various boring things. And wait for a long time then be dropped with his sudden departure.

Rion is still a 16-year-old boy who will be in time to move up to XI. He just wanted to be selfish for a while. Not wrong, right?!

But why should the thing that he was preventing become more runyam?!

Is he feeling guilty or what?!

Ray cried so hard he was the reason. If only I had spoken in a rather slow tone with Ray. This is not all going to happen. Ray is not wrong, he was born sensitive.

Previously, Karen had told Rion the address of the apartment Ray lived in. And now Rion is just standing looking at an apartment that he believes Ray lives in.

What was surprising was when he found a black car belonging to Arnold parked in front of the building. Isn't Shan and the others together with Ray?! He neutralizes his mind. At least, Arnold won't mess with Ray. At least he didn't want to think that way.

It's possible that Arnold came to see Ray. Although, Rion thinks that's impossible.

It's already night time, Rion is actually wondering what Arnold is doing here?! He prefers to be sure of what happened rather than speculate without any clarity of evidence.

Soon someone stepped out of the building. Stepping quietly as if he had resolved a problem that became the burden of his mind. But there's something weird there. Rion didn't want to ask why because Arnold had already left. Drive the car at medium speed.

There was something that made Rion run into the building. He could not explain how and why he did this only for the sake of a child of the same age. He would stop worrying if he already saw Ray smiling with his obnoxious manner.

Hurriedly open the door of the apartment that she believes Ray is inside. When the door opens, all the lights are on. There was nothing strange about him there were no scattered items or broken glass that were usually the result of someone fighting.

The awkward thing is, if Ray had been okay, he wouldn't have been this calm. Even Rion had not been able to see the trunk of his nose. He soon enters into it looking for a rabbit-toothed teenager whose chatter exceeds his mother's.

He was glued to the one sitting in the corner of the room. With a pale face and a body that shook violently. His eyes looked pushy at the white balcony that looked hollow.

Rion ran as fast as he could. Approaching Ray who was sitting in panic that was engraved clearly on his face.

Rion was shocked when the size of his hand was parried away. It was as if Ray really could not see who the person before him was. Ray's breathing was heavy, but he had no history of asthma. What happened to her that she looked so panicked?!

"Ray.it's me!!" But the helping hand came back Ray tangkis. His body trembled violently, his tears began to melt. And his teeth were clinging to the point that Rion could hear the sound of his trembling.

"Ray aware!!! It's me...!! Lo why?!" But it was just a waste. The figure before him was still in the same condition.

He can't think of anything. Even he was so panicked when he saw Ray in an undue state. And now the only thing he thought about was making him come back to his senses. A tight hug that makes the small body difficult to breathe. The only thing he could do, hugging him without caring the figure was beating his shoulder violently. Accompanied by sobs that made him increasingly aware that Ray was not okay.

The longer the blow gets weaker. Until his hands completely stopped doing anything.

"Ray..relax! Nothing will happen.lo will be safe with me! I promise I'll never stay alone!" That's all he can say. Because after that, he could say nothing more.

"Lo is angry with me!! Everyone fights because of me! Aunt Sasha doesn't like me... And now Dad really doesn't want me to exist anymore..." His voice echoed throughout the room.

"Gue's tired! I don't want to be a burden to others! But, when I want to go, you say I'm selfish! Now I ask you, who is selfish here?!"

Ray's eyes were different from his usual ones. He was no longer the chatty and mischievous Ray. Because here, he knows that the real Ray is full of invisible wounds.
