CHAPTER 22 END OF INVESTIGATION

That morning Hwa Young ran along the corridor looking for Byeol who was preparing his belongings to leave the palace.

"Byeol. His highness the king has already issued an arrest warrant to Queen Shin and prince Wang Yo. They were sentenced to exile" Hwa Young told Byeol.

Byeol smiled at the good news. He remembered his meeting with Wang So earlier. Byeol turned around and told Wang So everything. He asks Wang So to protect the witness that is the ladyboy he is after. Wang So fulfilled his promise, and revealed all to his majesty the king.

"Our task is done Young-ah. We need to get out of here as soon as possible. Eunuch Han was already waiting,"

Hwa Young smiled then nodded her head.

"I'm asking Byeol-ah for a minute there's something I need to do" said Hwa Young.

"All right," said Byeol

Hwa Young leaves Byeol.

Byeol out of his room. He saw Wang So standing leaning on the pole.

"Are you going again?" asked Wang So

Byeol smiled.

"Yes, your highness. The servant's job is done" said Byeol, "Thank you for the cooperation. May you have a long life and health. Slave farewell," said Byeol while bowing his body saluted and left in front of Wang So.

Wang So pulled Byeol's hand and looked at the girl's eyes. Silence created. But their heartbeats are not like that. Wang So was unable to say anything facing the turmoil of feeling in his chest other than sighing to hold back. Byeol just kept quiet and lowered his gaze.

"See you byeol again" said Wang So in the end.

Byeol bowed respectfully and left. Vibrations of love begin to emanate from both. Wang So did not dodge his interest in Byeol, but Byeol was still hesitant about Wang So. Byeol wasn't sure if he could be with Wang So at the end of the story.

Wang Jung's face was cold to Hwa Young who was standing before him. Hwa Young looked down with teary eyes.

Wang Jung took a deep breath when he saw Hwa Young who had just left.

"I'm sorry. I know you must hate me. Your brother's death was due to my fault. To be honest every time I see you, I always feel guilty and make me hate myself even more who can't keep my promise to you" Wang Jung said with a look of remorse.

Hwa Young silently looked at Wang Jung. The man's thoughts go back to the past, when Wang Jung and Hae Jin, Hwa Young's older brother set out to fight against Liao. Hae Jin is a court physician, a long-time friend of Wang Jung. Hae Jin died on the battlefield while protecting Wang Jung who was showered with arrows shortly after falling from a horse. "I'm sorry Young-ah" said Wang Jung as he approached Hwa Young and hugged her.

Hwa Young cried in Wang Jung's arms. They realize they actually love each other but the events of Hae Jin's death seem to be a burden for Wang Jung so they always avoid meeting Hwa Young. From a distance Byeol looked at the two of them.

Physician Hong was examining the Crown Prince who was feverish and had acute hallucinations. The man checked carefully and then examined the crown prince's eyes. Next to Physician Hong stood Queen Janghwa.

"The Crown Prince's noble pain is the same as that suffered by Myungwool. It could be the effect of Monk's Hood poison given little by little over a long period of time. Fortunately, I have managed to get the antidote" said Physician Hong

"Thank you Doctor Hong. Make the recipe immediately. We owe it to you" Queen Janghwa said

"We owe you a debt of gratitude" said Soon Joon, who was sitting on a couch in the yard with his legs still wrapped in bandages.

"It is our duty to protect the people" Wang So replied

Myungwool went inside the house and took a necklace with sapphire pendant and mussel skin that had been repaired.

"Your Majesty, give this necklace to your loved ones. I pray that your love will last forever" Myungwool said

Wang So received the unique and beautiful necklace and commented on the smile.

Eunuch Han, Byeol and Hwa Young were walking in the middle of the city. They mingle in the crowd of people who pass by. Suddenly the crowd of people was scattered with the convoy of Queen Shin who was to be sent to a place of exile. Everyone looks at me with hate. They were whispering about Queen Shin. The closed train disappeared at the turn of the road.

Wang Yo looks tired sitting in a wooden cage pulled by a horse. A number of soldiers and maids were guarding him tightly. They will travel far and wide to a place of exile.
