Back in the days he was Ian's punching bag in his training days, the Spartoi Dragon Warrior had the strangest dreams.
He pondered whether he should discuss the dream with the Fairy Queen but in the end, he did not.
Instead, he would find out for himself now when his family had no influence at all. The truth behind the horrifying sight he witnessed in his dream.
(Although of course, it could be nonsense.).
He had been moving in ghost form for half a year now.
He's also much faster. Maybe because he doesn't have a physical body.
He can even fly. Unless he can't do anything because his body is passing through
(But still it doesn't hurt to check.).
He must have flown quite a distance, because he was above the clouds. He continued upstairs.
(I might be able to find out)
Shortly after, the Spartoi spirit of the Dragon Warrior arrived on land. It was a clean field, and there was no sign of life.
(Where.?)
Inevitably Spartoi felt surprised, as he was sure it was the same prosperity field he had seen in his dreams.
(It is impossible.).
The spirit of the Dragon Warrior melted to the ground. He should check something immediately. If the dream is real, it must be down there.
(They.).
Voice stopped. The Land of Prosperity began to tremble.
It doesn't end there.
Something started shooting out of the ground.
It was Spartai's physical body.
However, it was not the only body that came out from the ground,
There was an endless number of warriors – was even more than the number of warriors that Ian had summoned when he fought Evantus.
(… )
Spartoi looked at his soldiers. He was sure he had seen the Land of Prosperity in his dream.
He's seen it happen here.
He had seen the merciless dead dragon in the hands of a little human.
(A part of them. ).
All the dead dragons in his hands had been buried in the Land of Prosperity and at least half of the dragon population. Spartoi came to see for himself whether it was true.
(At least ... half of them ..)
And from what he saw, everything seemed right. Spartoi's body was made from pieces of dragon bone. He has called so many bodies like this.
What else does that mean? It just means there's a buried dragon bone.
(Here, in this place.).
The Land of Prosperity, a large piece of land floating above the clouds, has become a burial site. A burial site where at least half of the dragon population has been buried.
***
“Your Highness, have you seen Spartoi?”
(Who am I to care? After all, he had nowhere to go)
“Do you not know of its existence as well, Evantus?”
(I'm not. He was a vagrant from a long time ago.)
(As if! I just don't have any friends)
Ian had already begun to complete his pending tasks and the promise he had promised to keep.
He finally kept the promise he made to the Fairy Queen and Evantus, that he would help them meet the dragon.
Of course, not a real dragon. Only the dragon spirit, but that was enough.
“Yeah, I think so. Two bottles is the limit. ”
I can only make potions worth two bottles that will help them reach the time permit because there is not enough supplies to last, especially the eyes of the gargoyles.
So only the Fairy Queen and Evantus make the journey. Of course, Ian was not desperate to meet that dragon. He can't be trusted.
“Why don't you go first”
The Queen of the Elves and Evantus can return from the time permit fifty days later in our world.
Just as Ian had thought he was there for less than a week, or at most two to three weeks, the two also thought only a week had passed.
But fifty days?
The Fairy Queen looked surprised.
(Fifty days? No way!)
“It's true. Weird in there.”
And the Fairy Queen's eyes turned red, as if she had been crying for fifty days.
(Then I have to hurry and look for the whereabouts of the gargoyle)
Evantus is in action. He could prepare potions only if he could find gargoyles that would pave the way to the time warehouse. They are more active now that their children's lives are at stake.
(Then ... What about me?)
The Fairy Queen nervously flew over to Ian. Unlike Evantus, he is free from family influence. It was all thanks to Ian, who had offered not to exercise the authority of the family if he did not want to. Of course, that would change if the circumstances were different
(He told me to help you, man.)
“Are you talking about Dragon spirits?”
(How rude are you! Even if he was in spirit form, he was the ruler of all powers and the Ruler of the Dragon. Show your respect!)
“Your Majesty asked you to help me?”
Ian asked, addressing her differently
(How am I, a lowly servant, to understand the way? But he has clearly ordered me to do so, and I will do as you ask for this moment. You just need me to protect your family, right?)
The Fairy Queen had always been stuck, so it was surprising to see her so humble. I guess the dragon really has authority.
(You can even use the mantra of relatives)
“Are you serious?”
(Again, we're supposed to help you, so adding you to the strength of our relatives makes things a lot easier.Relative spells had more of an effect than just making people obedient. For example.).
The Fairy Queen started flapping her little wings. He seemed to be flying over Ian's shoulder, pink dust falling from his wings.
It was fairy dust. And not just any fairy dust. It was the dust of the Fairy Queen.
(My dust not only has the power to cleanse the Magi. As long as the master of our relatives has even the smallest speck of dust on them, I can sense their location and whether they are in a life-threatening situation. These are skills that should protect them more perfectly, but I think I can do the same for you.)
It was a skill that was efficient enough to possess.
That's why I have reason to doubt.
“Are you unable to find the existence of a dragon with your skills?’
(Same as when you first entered the time permit. My powers have disappeared so I cannot feel their life or location. And that's something that power owners can do.)
That's understandable.
Ian nodded
‘Of course, you can't trust dragons too much.’
At least he could use the relatives to his advantage.
Then he realized that the dragon spirit living in the time permit could change over the past 1,000 years. If the dragon living in time permits happens to be ‘normal’, the golden dragon I met while fighting Lagnar would be one that has changed over the years.
“He does look very different.”
He could only rely on his feelings and assumptions to make a decision. He didn't like it, but he had no other choice.
Until now, it was like an unbearable force.
“Alright,” said Ian, take a decision.
“Instead,” he spoke slowly, “promise me you won't change your mind later. I never fooled you, bounced you, or threatened you because of this.”
(Have you lived your whole life deceived? Or rather, fool others? You are very sharp.)
“Ya it's right.”
In his past life, he had been fooled by many people.
In his current life, he was always fooling others.
“Alright then.”
Where gold began to surround the Fairy Queen. The irresistible power of relatives connects the two.
(I've felt this before, but I don't like this sense of obedience to creatures other than dragons, and humans, at that!).
“I'll say this again. Don't..”
(I know, I get it! You really follow your bloodline. Full suspicion!)
Yesterday he called us short-lived. Now he called us with suspicion. After all, the fairy queen once again became a part of Ian's relatives after being free for a while.
“I'll leave my family in your hands, Your Highness.”
(Bodo time.)
The most important problem is solved. The next problem was to manage his luck. Ian has a lot.
The jewel he had brought from the ivory tower was his, not to mention the personal wealth of the former owner of the ivory tower that the Emperor had given Ian. She also has some jewelry made by Hector Coldwood.
‘And there is also a message the Emperor left me.’
He at least wants to keep Herbert's luck. There would be no problem in doing so, but it was an offering he felt uncomfortable holding.
‘How do I take care of all this?’
He could easily take the artifacts and magical objects Herbert had collected for himself secretly and store them in the royal room with objects from the ivory tower. The real problem is his wealth.
‘I have to keep it from looking bad on my side.’
But Ian wasn't used to it, and he didn't have time to take care of everything carefully. He doesn't even know how. Of course, the Emperor wanted him to donate his wealth to the people and rise as the new owner of a generous ivory tower…
“But I've never done that before.”
Old Ian never cared about people.
He could have said he never had a chance. He had a limited number of friends and family in his previous life who had been lost during the war of unification. As for his last friend Lagnar, he had poisoned Ian.
‘I have reached the limit for some relationships I have.’
He had nothing else to rely on except magic. His first life is wasted helping a war-obsessed friend. It's all been for 42 years.
‘If only there was someone I could trust this.’
Ian looked around his house and his eyes were on his mother, who was busy sewing for a reason.
Ian wondered what he could do.
‘If it's my mother ..’
Ian's mother, Vanessa Page, was a kind woman. He had a pure heart so wonder how Ian could be his son. He was the closest person Ian knew who would be seen as a generous figure.
“She will be a much better partner for the job than I.”
It was a job that didn't match Ian from the start. Even if he took the job it would only look like a big show. It is right to leave the work to someone who will do good things because of their kindness. As for now, his mother was the best choice.
‘But even my mother doesn't know how’
He couldn't just give her a pile of money and tell her to use it for something meaningful. He needed someone with knowledge to help him and Ian wondered who that person was.
“Oh!”
Ian slapped his thigh in consciousness.
‘Princess Hiley Greenriver’
She was a princess, which meant she never did anything. But strangely, he knew a lot. I'm pretty sure his duties as a noble also include taking care of his people.
“And he happened to be in a place where I could set it.”
He happens to be Ian's student. He considered him his own teacher. It was not that he had actually taught her something, but all she had to do was start with something.
‘I just need to teach him how to do the Mana’ Breathing Method, Ian thought as he stood up.
He thought of mentioning it while it was still fresh in his mind.
He thought about teleporting immediately, but he changed his mind.
“I want to know if it's disrespectful.” He might be his disciple, but he was a noble after all. Moreover, she was a woman, a princess.
“I have to walk.” thought Ian as he shook his head.
Soon, he headed for the palace.
He could not for a long time, but he took off his robe to change into a proper outfit to welcome the princess.
***
“ugh..”
Hiley Greenriver, the prettiest girl in the entire country, and earning her place as Ian Page's student, felt her heart pounding.
Or at least, like that until a few weeks ago.
He had been waiting for months, waiting for news from her or to give her some kind of commitment, anything. He had been waiting faithfully, thinking, maybe he was busy. Maybe he has a lot to take care of.
‘Only when?’
His teacher never returned to him, even as the seasons changed. Thanks to him, he was just more worried. She wondered if she should talk to him in person, or contact him first, but she shook her head.’
‘It also ..’
Wouldn't that make him look pathetic?
It will make him look desperate.
Princess Hiley frowned, and her forehead wrinkled.
‘He couldn't possibly forget, right?’
Knowing Ian, there was a huge possibility that he could have. After all, isn't he a very cold person?
His memory of him making an outspoken comment saying that he had a less influential position in the palace and that he had to wander around doing the things he liked was still fresh in his mind.
‘Yang of course,’ thought, ‘which makes it more interesting.’
His face became even redder as those memories appeared in his mind. He was sure it was the first time his heart was pounding whenever he thought of someone like this.
“But what's the point?” he thinks ‘I'm sure he has forgotten me.’
At that moment, when the princess was filled with thoughts, her servants, who were more like her friends, rushed in.
“You ... Your Highness!”
Is there something wrong?
The princess's white and delicate face was filled with curiosity as she watched her servant make a fuss.
“What's wrong with you? What's all this?” he answered, and they exploded to retaliate.
“This..the time!”
“He's here!”
“Finally! After so long!”
“With her proper clothes, not her cape!”
It's hard to understand what they're saying, because they're all talking at once.
After all, the princess understood what they meant.
‘Master Ian has finally arrived?’
He has such good abilities. He immediately understood what was going on.
“Girls.” Princess Hiley whispered, her voice full of caution, “please.help me!”
The servants immediately understood, just as the princess could understand them inside out.
“Leave it to us!”

Her worries began to settle in the hands of her servants – how her hair should look, what clothes she should wear, what makeup would work best for her, her shoes, her perfume…
“Nona, Ian Page, the owner of Ivory Tower asked to meet you.”
The voice of a servant called out from the other side of the door at the moment he was ready.
He's right here, across the street.
His cold-hearted teacher, Ian Page, who was two years younger than himself, was finally here.
