*Rudi is My Love (RAC)*
Rudi and Bulan and the parents both agreed that the marriage contract and reception were held at the groom's house.
As an ustaz or a person who understands a little of the teachings of religion, Rudi decided to carry the theme of modern Bugis customs, which only adopt Bugis traditional marriage only a few percent. In a sense, rituals that do not rub against religious law, that is what Rudi took.
Like one day before the marriage contract, there is an event called temme. Mappanre means to feed and temme means to end or khatam, which is to feed or reward people who have been khatam reading the Quran.
Usually, at this event, the bride will listen to the recitation of the Quran recited by the priest or ustaz. However, reading it is not a full Quran, but merely a symbolization. The priest or ustaz who reads the Quran in front of the bride and groom, will only read from the Letter of Ash-Dhuha in juz 30 to the end.
However, Rudi tried to modify the event to make it more festive. Teenage children in the fishing village who have been khatam Al-Quran are invited to read the Qur'an last ten letters in a congregational manner.
The event took place in the afternoon because at night there was an event called mappacci, namely the giving of this to the hands of the two prospective brides by relatives while giving prayers.
In the culture of the community, usually on the night before the wedding day, the hajat family will hold a gaple competition. However, Rudi looked at the negative race using gambling equipment, even though the race was not in the gambling category. So, Rudi decided to hold a wooden slender game competition with adult male participants, from young to old.
After the asar prayer, many people come to Rudi's house which is now increasingly lively with various decorations, including, be it a large and beautiful tent or colorful ribbons to gold papers that decorate the house like a palace.
The teenage children who would be the guests of honor for Rudi's house came in groups. The adult guests also came well dressed. Besides because they are invited in general, at least they can also eat cakes.
There are also fathers who are not present because they choose to prepare and train before competing. Understandably, adult age makes them have long not played the traditional game.
The boys and girls were already sitting on a carpet that was held in the courtyard under the tent. They formed a long circle formation. Each child in front of him is given a pillow on which there is a holy book of the Quran.
There are about 20 children who will read the Quran which will be guided by Kulsum.
The event has not yet begun because they are waiting for the arrival of the prospective bride, namely the Adinda Month and her family.
However, they did not wait long as three luxury cars had just arrived. Relatives of the bridegroom immediately descended to welcome the arrival of the group.
Also seen on the terrace, Rudi who sat in his wheelchair was so handsome in a dress koko and songko Bugis. The condition of his legs are still wrapped in bandages make him have to wear a black holster decorated with gold thread embroidery.
There was Barada standing behind the wheelchair.
Rudi, Barada and people who know the Adinda Moon so smile, when they see the bride-to-be get out of his car with a brilliant white Muslimah dress. She was wearing a beautiful white hijab with a gold brooch decoration.
Moon Adinda looks so beautiful complete with simple make-up. The hijab wrap makes it even more graceful and cool to look at.
Moon Adinda came with her parents, her three siblings, her extended family, Linda and an all-female make-up team.
Kamsiah and Manta Sukasih were the ladies' guests, while Muttaqin and Haji Daeng Marakka welcomed her father Moon and the men from the guest families.
Guests are also invited to enter the house. Rudi also met his future father-in-law and regretted it.
Sandro, who felt sinful to Linda, chose to hide under the pretext of going to pee. Fortunately Sandro's actions were not caught by Linda's eyes. If he looks evasive, it might hurt Linda a second time.
Because the person who was waiting was present, the mappanre temme event began.
Rudi and Moon were seated side by side. Each had a pillow placed on the table in front of them. On the pillow was placed a large Quran that had been opened. In front of Rudi had sat Ustaz Barzanji and in front of the Moon sat Ustaz Muttaqin.
As a Bugis, before it began, the Moon first got guidance from Ustaz Barzanji. After that began the mappanre temme ritual.
So the two ustaz of that age began to read the Quran from Surah Adh-Dhuha. While Rudi and Moon listen by pointing using shows what is being read by the two ustaz.
As two ustaz people, of course, both readers read eloquently and tartil. The two ustaz read using their respective mics, so that what they read in the living room was heard and listened to by the audience who also sat with a kusyuk outside, he said, whether they are sitting on the floor or sitting in a chair.
The children who will read the Quran will wait for the two ustaz to finish their studies.
At that time, there was also Ferdy and his mother without the presence of Haji Suharja. Also present was Junita who wore a Muslim dress given Sandro two nights ago. He was present with his parents.
After the two ustaz completed their duties and prayed for the bride and groom, then the event continued with the recitation of the Quran in a congregational manner by the children whom they had all taught him. The reading was led by Kulsum by reading Ummul Kitab, who continued reading Surah Al-Fil to Surah An-Naas.
Read by more than twenty people he home page made that afternoon sound crowded by the reading of Scripture.
Rudi and the Moon watched and listened from the terrace. The seats are side by side, but not so tight. Understandings are not legal.
Those who do not read also listen with a kusyuk without anyone being allowed to talk alone. If there is a matter of consumption that must be distributed, the command is by sign language or by whisper not to use love.
Various kinds of delicious snacks, especially typical Bugis cakes such as bugis cakes (shops cangkuning), barongko, sikaporo, jalangkote, sponge cake, buang bugis and many more, it was presented in front of the guests. However, before the recitation of the Quran is completed, it will be a shame if the banquet is eaten first.
So, right after the recitation of the Quran was completed, the consumption team immediately flowed the dish into the midst of the readers of the Quran. Along with that, the pillows and the Quran were marginalized and secured into the house.
The dinner party started off well. There were even new guests who came and were warmly welcomed.
“Sto be eaten, yes. The brothers who read the Quran, if they have finished eating, do not go home immediately, but salim first to Pak Ustaz and his future wife, because you will get a gift!” kulsum said to children of Quran readers using a mic.
“Iya, Ummiii!” encourage the children and the spirit.
When the khataman children were finished and were about to go home, they one by one went out to pray to Rudi and the Moon in an orderly manner. Apparently, they got envelopes one by one that definitely contained money. Don't ask how much it is. (BH)
