THE SHIM FAMILY RESIDENCE

“Days there's no news of our son, are you not worried about him at all? He could have been hurt out there by himself. Are you really her father?” cerca Madam Shim as soon as she reached her husband's room. He stood with an angry face.

Mr. Shim sighed. “I've sent our entire private army to look for him. Sooner or later we'll find her, I promise. So, sit down and don't make yourself sick.”

Madam Shim sighed, then sat down on a pillow sitting in front of her husband's bed in annoyance.

“If you had to choose, which would you choose? Joseon or Qing Dynasty?”

Madam Shim looked at her husband, in disbelief. “Is this a good time to discuss that political issue again with me?”

“Jawab only.” urged her husband.

Madam Shim snorted. “Joseon is indeed our homeland. We were born and raised here, but it is undeniable that living in Joseon is like living in a house whose floor is built on steep, sandy soil that can collapse at any time. Meanwhile, the Qing Dynasty was like a house built on rocks. Sturdy and difficult to tear down. If I had to choose, I would choose the Qing Dynasty. But what does all this mean?”

“It's about Hwa Ryong.”

“Hwa Ryong?” repeat Mrs Shim, anxious.

“I think there will be a big disagreement in Joseon and we have to be ready with him. I worry about being loyal to this country or betraying it. I feel so guilty and try to ask your opinion.”

“Don't talk about things I don't understand like this. Can't you explain everything to me? I'm his mother and I deserve to know.”

“Your Highness Prince Yunti loves our son, Hwa Ryong. But Hwa Ryong loves His Highness the Crown Prince. That's what really happened.”

Madam Shim looked at her husband, in disbelief then snorted. Then he stood up. “Enough already! You must be crazy to make up stories like this. If you don't care about our son anymore, I'll go out looking for him myself.”

Mr. Shim could only stare at his wife leaving. He looked so tired, faced everything. His destiny, the destiny of his daughter, as well as the destiny of Joseon and the destiny of the Qing Dynasty.

THE CROWN PRINCE'S PRIVATE RESIDENCE

The crown princess's election day arrives. Hwa Ryong was in her room at the royal villa. The people help her wear clothes. Yellow Jeogori and red chima, the Crown Princess's mandatory dress makes her even more beautiful.

The Crown Prince who had just arrived at Hwa Ryong's room could only be speechless, stunned. It was only when Hwa Ryong turned his head towards him that he cleared his throat and smiled. “You ready?”

The ladies left the room. The Crown Prince stepped closer. He fixed the hairpiece on Hwa Ryong's head, then turned around, then lightly and quickly, he kissed Hwa Ryong's forehead.

Hwa Ryong flabbergasted. He held his forehead, shocked and ashamed. “Oppa!” whispered, half crying. “I told you to stop doing this.”

The Crown Prince smiled widely. “You will soon be my rightful wife. So, what's wrong with doing it?”

Hwa Ryong pursed his lips. “But, I still don't necessarily win his selection.”

The Crown Prince saw the hesitation from the look on the face of the girl he loved. He cupped his hands in front of Hwa Ryong. “Just do as best you can. I'm sure you can convince the courtiers that no girl can fight my chosen girl to become the Crown Princess.”

Hwa Ryong finally smiled. “Girl of choice?”

“Ah, I haven't said it today, huh?”

Hwa Ryong smiled.

“You are evil, Oppa.”

“What if I'm not selected later? You're gonna tell the other girl, then?” the Canda Hwa Ryong.

The Crown Prince replied. “That's not gonna happen. Surely it won't happen because you are mine and I am yours.”

Hwa Ryong laughed amusedly. His heart felt so happy that it was almost hard to believe it. The love he once thought was childish became something important to him now. I don't know what will happen, if it turns out his excitement ends here. However, he tried not to think about it and focused on finding a way to win the election.

THE TEMPORARY RESIDENCE OF PRINCE YUNTI

A person dressed in bodyguards walked through the hallway in hasty steps. As soon as the waiter opened the door, it appeared Yunti was sitting on his bed.

The guard bowed. “The Crown Prince's entourage has departed from the royal villa, Your Highness.”

“You have the bandits ready?”

The guard nodded.

“Remember, kidnap Hwa Ryong secretly and don't hurt him or the Crown Prince. Take some things from their company as if they were robbers. Do you understand?”

“Good, Your Highness.”

“Go now.”

The bodyguard withdrew and began wearing his mask.

ON MARKET

A luxurious gamma was lowered in a deserted place in the market. Madam Shim opened the window from inside the gama. Her face was so pale and her eyes looked so red, due to lack of sleep and crying too much.

“Is there still no sign of Hwa Ryong?”

“Not yet, Madam.” replied his servant. “What if you just go back and rest? Madam didn't sleep all night, Madam didn't finish her breakfast either. I'm afraid Madam will be sick if you keep this up.”

“Already, don't worry about me. And quickly find my daughter.” sighed Mrs Shim. “Have you prepared the flyer?”

“Yes, we have prepared according to the request of the Madam to increase the amount of her gift money to 50 nyang. Right now, the guards are spreading it on the.” market

“Good.” his sigh, relieved.
