Recovering
Evening was changed by a busy morning in the palace. Guards were patrolling around the palace. Some of the ladies were cutting fabric to make clothes. Dozens of maids were cooking in the palace kitchen. Some blue-robed healers and some physician assistants were concocting medicine. Then the healer brought the potion to a palace building.
Hyun was dressed in eunuch clothes, standing outside the building with a few ladies-in-waiting. Two dark green dayers and four light green daydaughters, and six red-bearded ladies. He immediately announced the arrival of the physician. “Jeoha, healer Seo has arrived.”
The Crown Prince who had been sitting next to Hwa Ryong replied, “Quickly, bring the medicine here.” Physician Seo entered the room, bowing respectfully before approaching Hwa Ryong's bed.
As soon as the seated healer began to examine Hwa Ryong's pulse, the Crown Prince immediately searched for him with many questions. “Is he okay? Why isn't he awake yet? I think the fever has gone down, is that a good sign?”
Physician Seo lowered his head, saluting. “I can make sure Miss's condition is fine, Your Majesty. Miss will be fine. But Miss must drink this potion as soon as she regains consciousness.” Physician Seo placed the potion near the Crown Prince.
The Crown Prince sighed deeply. “Alright, then. Now, come out.”
Physician Seo left the room. Meanwhile, Hyun entered. “Jeoha, please return to your residence, Your Majesty. His Majesty's wounds have not recovered and Physician Jang told you to rest for two full days.”
The Crown Prince was silent for a moment. “Quick prepare one more mattress.”
Hyun looked confused. “Case, Your Majesty?”
“Oho! You didn't hear what I said? Quickly prepare now. Don't you want me to take a break?”
Hyun seemed to start to understand. “Jeoha! I want you to quickly rest but that does not mean rest here with Miss.”
“Quickly carry out only!”
Hyun reluctantly ordered the ladies to prepare the mattress.
A golden mattress was placed two meters away from Hwa Ryong's bed. The Crown Prince looked dissatisfied, he pulled his own mattress closer to Hwa Ryong's mattress until it was ten inches. Hyun was about to protest, but the Crown Prince immediately glared at him and gestured with a hand telling Hyun to come out.
Meanwhile, the Crown Prince lay next to Hwa Ryong. His hands tightly clasped Hwa Ryong's hands. Why can my heart be this easy to bend to her knees, the Crown Prince thought. That was when, Madam Shim fell down to sit down, crying roaring. Some servants were holding her from behind. “Oh, my poor son. What is my sin that I have to lose my only son, Seol? Quickly find him, you can't come back before you find him!”
“Quick bring Madam in!” his orders, then Mr. Shim walked towards Seol, pulling him to his feet. “Rest in your room. Let the guards look for him.”
“No, Sir. I want to help find Miss with the other bodyguards.”
Mr. Shim looks resigned, “Alright, if that's what you want. I can only hope he's okay."
Mr. Shim also came out of the house. Right behind him, a line of bodyguards and Seol followed him.
