Chapters. 19 Escape

Before the sun rose, Tian was already preparing to pack his goods that he had left to Riko.

Tian simply left a piece of mail on the sofa. He did not wake Riko who was asleep. He also only carried clothes and booty taken from Sarah's bag last night.

Tian came out of the house wearing a black jacket, combined with jeans and did not forget to wear a black hat. He covered his face with a black mask as well, so that no one would recognize him. He walked to the bus terminal.

Tian's footsteps felt extremely heavy leaving his hometown. And in this city he also killed his wife.

How's Sarah doing now? Is he dead or alive? Have I been too cruel to Sarah? Ach..Never mind, let it go. It's all been happening.

While on the way to the bus terminal, Tian always thought about Sarah. Still imagined how cruel he was last night, when he hurt the people he loved. There was a bit of guilt in his heart. But, it all happened. And this is the path he must take to get on with life. He couldn't look back.

Tian threw his fist into the air and kicked the pebble in front of him, soaring far forward.

On the road that Tian passed by now was still very quiet, only a few vehicles passed by.

Arriving at the bus terminal, Tian saw a large clock hanging on the terminal wall, the clock showing at 03:45. The terminal is also still not operational, because it is still too early.

Tian looked for a place to rest for a while. His legs were very sore, as he had to walk from Riko's house to the terminal. That's a pretty long distance.

"Bahhh..Tired also ran away like this." Tian muttered as he stomped his feet from top to bottom.

When Tian was busy twitching his legs, suddenly there was a horde of sturdy men who came to the terminal, they seemed to be looking for something.

Tian was relaxing, smoking and drinking the mineral water he brought himself. One of them approached Tian. Because Tian was the only person they could ask right now.

“Sorry, Sir. I want to ask, do you recognize the person in this photo?” Ask one of them by showing them a picture.

Tian's eyes widened and he also briefly choked in shock. It turned out that the person they were looking for was him.

What are they looking for me for? Inner Tian while his eyes were still looking at the man before him. However, he had to be calmer so that no one would suspect him.

“Sorry I don't know, Sir. I'm a newcomer to this city, so don't recognize anyone here.” Tian politely replied and quibbled so that no one would recognize him.

“Alright, thanks.” The man finally left after getting an answer from Tian.

They didn't put any suspicion on Tian. Because around the terminal the lights were not too bright and Tian also used a mask, so his face was not clearly visible to them.

Tian frowned. "Why is that guy looking for me? Did they know I killed Sarah? But last night no one saw that I killed Sarah. Don't Sarah stay alive, and she's telling me about who killed her? Ach..Cannot be. But, who are they? They seem very dangerous. Then I have to hide, before they realize I'm here." Tian Muttered.

Tian left his seat and looked for a safer hide. Waiting until they left, only later would he return to the terminal to go out of town.

After walking far enough from the terminal, Tian found a hiding place in a small, abandoned shop. He opened the unlocked shop door and hid inside there.

📞”Halo, Young Master.” Ari was calling Gavin.

📞”Iya. What's up, Ri?” Gavin answered from across the phone.

📞”We didn't find the culprit at the bus terminal, sir. Looks like we lost fast to him.” Ari's eyes were still looking around the terminal area.

📞”Sial, why are you so slow!! Like I said, don't come back until you find that bastard!! You're looking for information about his family or close friends, maybe they know where he is now.” It sounded very cold and creepy Gavin's voice.

📞”Good, Mr.” Ari called immediately. 

He then ran back to comb the entire bus ticket and bus parking lot.

One of Ari's men, Nino, ran up to him.

“Master, it seems like the man wearing the black jacket and wearing the black hat earlier, is the person we are looking for. Because after I asked him earlier, he went straight from here.”

“Are you not wrong with what you said?” Ari asked to be more sure, that it was true.

“Iya, Sir. I'm not wrong to say.” Nino nodded her head.

“Did you see him running which way?” Ari stared intently at Nino.

“If you don't see wrong, he ran towards the terminal exit, Mr.” Nino answered, pointing to the exit.

“Ok. You immediately look for them outside the terminal and bring some of them to help you. Don't get away with that damn thing again. Our lives depend on this work. If we fail, Boss Gavin will kill us all.” Ari said while explaining all the consequences later.

“Good, Mr.” Nino nodded her head and prepared to go look for the target.

Nino and some friends ran to the exit of the bus terminal.

Ari and all of his men had never seen what Tian's true face was. They only had a photo that Gavin showed.

It's 06:30 now. Riko got up from her sleep and rubbed her eyes and sat on the bed. After his life was collected, he started to get off the bed and walked out of the room. Seeing that Tian was no longer in his house, he felt strange. It wasn't usual for Tian to wake up this early, and why did he leave without saying goodbye first? Tian was hiding something from her.

Riko tidied up the sofa that Tian slept on last night. He accidentally found a piece of paper on the sofa.

Riko, I'm sorry I left without waking you. I'm going out of town. Thank you for being my best friend all this time. If one day someone comes to your house looking for me, you pretend you don't know me. Don't give out any information to people you don't know.

After reading the letter from Tian, Riko threw her body onto the sofa. Her best friend has left her now.

"You actually have a problem what Tian. Why don't you tell me? Huhh..." Riko put her arm over her forehead.
